Chapter 11 -A Kitten's Feelings-

A couple of weeks has passed since the incident with Yang, and I needed to get back in shape slowly according to professor Peach, but... I'm not one of those who like to take things slow when it comes to healing. Back at Mountain Glenn, I never had the chance to takethings slow when I was wounded. I even fought a herd of Beowulfs whenone of my arms broke and had to improvise with making a cast.

Yang slowly started to turn back to her normal self again, though there were still the occasional bullying to her, but she moved on far enough to kick their asses again. I had to punish Team CRDL more than three times a day for two weeks and a half. Of course, I was still in the healing process on the chest, but I still had my dust.

Right now, I was at the training with Rogue and Nickel for my Semblace. It was different from my fighting style with Eden and Azazel, but I do wanted to practice more with it. Nickel gave me the objective to keep Rogue away from me as long as possible with my dust.

"Is that all you got?" Rogue taunted as he came sprinting towards me.

"You don't know the half of it," I said as I send ice dust towards.

He manage to dodge the wave of ice dust, but he didn't saw the wind dust creeping behind him. I quickly wrapped the dust around his arms and legs and send him flying upwards. Then I send the ice dust from before towards him as well and activated it just before hitting Rogue, causing him to get stuck frozen at the ceiling.

"O...kay, I wasn't expecting that," said Nickel, walking towards me while looking at Rogue.

"Do you forfeit?" I asked tauntingly.

"Hell no!" he screamed.

I quickly looked over to Nickel and saw that he was possessed by Rogue.

"You know he'll have your head once he snaps out of it, right?" I said as I started blocking Nickels cane.

"Yeah, probably," he responded.

While I continued to block Nickel's cane, I used more dust to create shackles on Nickel and solidified them. While I he was busy trying to free himself, I used more dust to basically create armor and more chains to the ground. After a moment, Nickel snapped back to reality.

"Ehm... what happened?" Nickel asked.

"Blame him," I said, snapping my fingers an releasing everyone from my dust shekels.

The moment I did it Rogue started to scream as he started to fall. Before he touched the ground, I created a cloud of dust to cushion his fall. Once he land, he was glaring to me.

"Don't ever do that again," Rogue scolded me.

"Be happy I didn't make you actually crash," I said as I brought all my dust back to my bottles.

I let out a chuckle from his reaction.

"Anyway, this well, this is enough for today. Go and rest (F/n). Tomorrow we'll try some exercise with the aura, alright?" said Nickel.

"Alright. I'll be at the library," I said, exiting the training room.

"Okay, I'll probably come late tonight. I have a date with Coco and Velvet," said Rogue.

"Fine by me," said Nickel, walking out of the training room as well.

While everyone went their own ways, I was walking towards the library. I didn't anything to do now, so I decided to go read for a bit. Once I arrive at the massive library, I decided to look around the different categories that the library offered.

"Let's see... fantasy... romance... Grimms & Hunters... myths and legends?" I said out loud.

The curiosity got the better of me about the last category and see what kind of books I can find. I found all kind of fairy tales and legends. I even recognized some of them when I was still at the orphanage. Stories like the four maidens, the two brothers of creation and destruction, some legends about the powerful wizard, and so on. But one book caught my interest. A book about gods.

'I know now that I'm a god, along with my family, but I am curious on what humanity wrote about us,' I though to myself as I grab the book and walk towards the nearby table.

Before I could even open the book, I heard a cry of pain. I look around the library and saw a Team CRDL bulling a girl with owl wings on her back. I let out a sigh of frustration as I started to pull out some wind dust, since it's the least destructive of them all, and let it wrap around my arms.

"Why are you even here? You should be-

"I'm going to stop you right there, Cardin and suggest that you pick up a book about manners," I said in a stern voice.

"Oh? And what are you going to do about that," he said as he and his goons prepare for a fist fight.

"I'm not really in the mood for fighting, so I'm going to do this quick," I said as lifter both my arms forwards.

Seconds later, dust started to fly out of my sleeves and started to wrap around the four bullies arms and legs. I brought the four of them together, so that the dust are connected and solidify the dust into their crystal form. I opened the nearest window with some water dust and send the four bullies flying out of it.

'For a group of bullies, they sure get their asses kicked a lot, let alone the rate they recover,' I though to myself as I walk towards the owl fauna.

"Are you alright?" I asked in a worried manner.

"Yeah, thank you for the help," she answered.

"If they ever bother you again, or anyone for that matter, just call me, alright?" I asked with a kind smile.

"Alright. Thank you," she said, walking towards her table.

I look out the window again and saw the bullies struggling to get free from the crystallized dust. I lifted my hand forwards again, and the wind dust freed the bullies from their bind and returned to my bottles.

"I'm really starting to wonder why they are here. How they even got here is a better question," I said out loud.

"You're not the only one," said a voice behind me.

I turn around and saw Blake holding a book in her arms.

"Hey Blake, how are you doing?" I asked as we walked towards the table I left my book.

"I was about to read this book until I saw you sending Team CRDL out of the window, quite literally," she said.

"Yeah, they were bullying a Fauna again," I explained as I take a seat atthe table.

"They never learn, do they?" Blake asked, taking the seat next to me.

"I doubt it. Anyway, what are you reading?" I asked, curiously.

"It's called Broken and Silent Gems. It's a dark themed romance," she explained.

"Sounds interesting. I was about to read a book about gods," I explained.

"Why?" she asked curiously.

"I don't know. It peeked my interest," I explained.

After that, we decided that to read our book. After some time, Blake look up and asked something to (F/n).

"(F/n)? How... are you feeling from... you know, the incident?" she asked in a worried tone.

"Slowly getting better, but... how are things with your team after that?" I asked.

"It was... difficult, but we managed to patch things up," she said with a weak smile.

"I'm glad to hear that," I responded.

"(F/n)? Why do you always protect Faunas from bullies?" Blake asked.

"Because I care about their extra features. I still see them as humans. Why do you ask" I explained.

"Oh, just curious," she said as she put the book in front of her face.

I wasn't going to by that. The way she asked that question was almost out of fear and worry. I look around to make sure that no one was around. Once I was sure, I used my semblance to pick up some dust and used it to pull off the bow. Blake noticed this and quickly placed the book above her head and gave me a panicked looked.

"Blake, what are you hiding?" I asked curiously.

"Promise that you won't get mad," she begged quietly.

"Why would I get mad?" I asked in confusion.

"Just... promise, please?" she begged.

"Alright, I promise," I said, drawing a cross on my heart with my finger.

She let's out a sigh, and slowly lifted the book off of her head, revealing a pair of cat ears underneath it.

"You're a fauna? I wish I would've known about this earlier, because they look adorable," I said to her.

She started blushing immensely by my comment.

"You're not mad?" she asked shyly.

"Why should I? I'm more surprised than anything else," I responded.

"Because of the White Fang..." she responded.

I've learned about the White Fang over the time I was at Beacon, and I was shocked by the recent actions they were doing. But...

"Why are you bringing that group up?" I asked in confusion.

"I'm telling you this because I trust you, alright? I... was once a member of the White Fang," she said quietly.

I was surprised to hear this, but I know better than just judge a book by it's cover.

"You said 'was'. Does that mean that you're not with them anymore, correct?" I asked in a serious tone, by which she only no as she looks down, avoiding eye contact.

A smile started to form.

"Then I'm in no position to judge your actions from your past," I said calmly.

'I say that, and yet, my family are gods,' I though to myself.

She looks up to me with shocked expression on her face. I stand up and started to tie her bow, covering her cat ears. Once I was done, I got nearly tackled to the ground by her.

"Thank you," she whispered, giving me a tight hug.

"It's no problem, Blake," I responded as I hug her back.

There was a moment of silence between us, still hugging each other, until she looks up to face me, and gave me a quick kiss on the lips. Surprised by her actions, pulled my head back.

"What... was that?" I asked, hesitantly.

"In all honesty... I liked you for a while. I was planning to confess to you, but Yang beat me to it with her dumb dare," she explained.

I was shocked to hear this and was unsure how to respond to this. Especially after what happened with Yang.

"Blake... I wish I could return the feeling, but I think I'm not ready yet to go back in a relationship yet," I responded, in a bit of a sad tone.

"I can understand that, so how we'll take things slow. Does that sound good?" she asked in a hopeful tone.

I let our a sigh, knowing that I'm not ready for this, but I also didn't want to disappoint her, so I kind smile.

"Alright, let's give it a try, shall we?" I asked to her.

"Thank you, (F/n), for giving me this chance," she said, giving me another tight hug.

"No problem, Blake," I said, hugging her back.
