Joyride
I woke up groggy at 5 in the morning to utter darkness. Even the sun couldn't be bothered coming up. I slipped on my clothes, smeared pink and blue eyeshadow on my eyelids, applied a deep red lipstick to my lips and grabbed my bat.
This is going to be fun. I knew it was. Any time I was with the Joker was fun. He made it fun. I flounced out of the room to the kitchen, quickly grabbing some yoghurt that Frost had bought the other day. I wondered what he was to the Joker as I ate. Henchman probably. But also like some kind of butler; he bought the groceries, made sure we were alright, checked up on the house, and was always on the phone. I tossed the pottle into the bin, tossed the spoon into the sink and started walking to the garage where J had said to wait.
There he was, sitting straight and tall in the purple Lamborghini, revving the engine as I opened the passenger seat and slid in.
"Hey J." I said, sticking a tongue out and grinning.
"Hello. Oh, I'm ready for this. Let's go." He slammed his foot down on the accelerator, and the car shot forward, onto the street, and out to Gotham. I had no idea where we were going. I didn't care. It was just us, speeding along the highway, not a single care in the world.
