Indra was ridiculed and condemned throughout the cosmos for his deed with Ahilya. But while he was gone for penance to redeem himself, a very important question arises in Swargalok.

Who should be the King in the absence of Indra ?

"Mai Devraj banunga, prakash ka shrot jo hu, aur meri kirne jeevan ka adhaar hai." Suryadev said.

"Jeevan ka adhaar ? Suryadev, mere bina jeev shwaas nahi le sakte." Vayudev said.

"Aur mere bina manushya pooja aur yagya nahi kar sakte. Devraj ki upaadhi mujhe milni chahiye kyuki Mai sabse pavitra hu aur punya ka shrot bhi !" Agnidev said.

"Aur aapke issi pavitra aur punya agni ko kshan bhar mei bujha deta hai mera Jal, jo jeevan ke liye anivarya bhi hai. Meri vishalta aur gehrai dekhiye ! Anginat jeev jantuo ko apne andar sthan diya hai maine !" Varundev said.

"Kripya apas mei behas karne se kuch laabh nahi." Brihaspati said trying to calm the situation.

"Toh aap hi bataye Devguru, kaun yogya hai Devraj ki upadhi hetu ?" Chandradev asked.

"Yaha aisa koi nahi jo Indradev jitna pratapi ho. Mana ki unhone akshamya paap Kiya hai, kintu fir bhi unse shresht koi Swarglok mei koi devta nahi." Brihaspati said, indeed Indradev was the best among the gods and hence was chosen as the King.

"Kintu ab woh yaha nahi hai Devguru. Hum mei se kisi ko Devraj ban ke Swarg ka shashan sambhalna padega." Suryadev said.

"Kintu kaun ?" Brihaspati himself was confused, no one could match the level of Indra.

"Mai." A demonic female voice said.

The gods turned their heads and saw an Asuri, who reminded them of a certain someone and not for good reasons.

"Kaun ho tum ? Aur yaha kyu aayi ho ?" Agnidev asked.

"Mai woh hu jiska Swarg ke singhasan par adhikar hai, aur wahi lene aayi hu." The Asuri said.

"Yeh kya pralaap kar rahi ho !?" Vayudev asked.

"Bahut poorv mere Bhrata Mahishasur ne Swarg par apna Adhipatya jamaya tha ! Aur unse yeh singhasan chhal poorvak chheen liya gaya tha ! Ab unke sthan par mai Raaj karungi ! Mahishasur ki behen Mahishi !" She said.

"Apne iss udandata ka parinaam jaanti ho kya hoga ? Laut jao." Varundev warned.

Mahishi smirked as she raised the staff she was carrying, summoned demonic energies and hurled it towards the gods, causing them all to fall backwards.

The gods grunted as they picked their weapons against Mahishi, but in front of her powers the divine and deadly Astras seemed to have become powerless and toy-like.

"Ise awashya ishwar ka vardaan prapt hai !" Chandradev said.

"Satya kaha tumne, Brahmadev ke vardan ke karan mai ajay aur amar hu !" Mahishi said.

"Fir toh iska nivaaran bhi Brahmadev hi denge." Brihaspati said.

The gods looked at each other and nodded before disappearing from their.

"Kayar ! Sabhi devta kayar hai ! Bhaag Gaye mere bhaye se !" Mahishi laughed.

She made her away towards the esteemed Indrasan and sat over it.

"Ab Swarg par punah Asuro ka raaj hoga !" Mahishi said.
