It is the Shukla Paksha Dwadashi of, Bhadrapada month in Shraavan Nakshatra. After the diligent observing of Payo vrat, Aditi finally gave birth to the avatar of Narayan.

He was born with four hands, holding the conch, chakra, mace and a lotus flower. The Sapt-rishis, the devtas, the deviyas, and the supreme deities all were present at the sky just get a glimpse of the baby, who was the 5th avatar of Bhagwaan Vishnu.

After the baby was born, bright light emerged from him. Aditi and Kashyap closed their eyes and when the light dimmed they were suprised seeing their son now looking like a young boy.

He was of a dwarfish stature but enchanting even then, he held umbrella in one hand and a kamandal in another. A small smile adorned his face.

But seeing such a petite stature, Aditi and Kashyap fell in doubts, so did the rest of the gods. How will he defeat the great king Bali with such small stature ? They all wondered.

The gods muttered amongst themselves while Amarsri and Srinav kept looking at the small vaman dev with a smile on their face.

"Yeh kaisa roop dharan kar liya prabhu ne ? Aise woh Bali ko kaise parajit karenge ? Inke haatho mei toh shastra bhi nahi." Indra said.

"Indradev, akaar hi sab kuch nahi hota. Ek chhoti si chiti bhi ek bade se hathi ka annt kar sakti hai. Chhote se netro mei bhi bade sansaar ko dekhne ki kshamta hoti hai." Srinav said.

"Aur Pitashree ne toh pehle se hi kaha hai ki iss baar Vijay shakti se nahi Yukti se prapt hogi." Amarsri said.

"Jo bhi karna hoga shigreh karna hoga." Suryadev said.

"Kyuki Raja Bali ne Ashwamedh yagya ka aayojan kiya hai. Yadi yeh yagya purn huya toh Asuro ko devtao se upar sthan prapt ho jayega." Chandradev said.

"Yeh toh Mata Adi-para Shakti ke banaye niyam hai ki jinke gun shresht rahenge woh hi upar honge. Raja Mahabali pujniya awashya hai kintu unke anya Asuro mei yeh gun nahi ki unhe devtao se upar sthan prapt ho." Srinav said.

"Kintu-" "Kintu kya ?" Indra tried to object but Amarsri intervened.

"Devraj Indra yeh naa bhuliye ki swarg ka singhasan aapke maatsarya ke kaaran aapke haath se gaya hai. Aapne hi Virochan ka vadh kar iss aapda ko nimantran diya tha. Maharaj Bali, Asur awashya hai kintu prithvi aur swarg dono unke shashan ke andar sukhi aur samarth hai." Amarsri said. Indra looked down.

"Devi ne satya kaha Devraj, aapko hi iss baat se aapatti thi ki manushya Bhagwaan Vishnu ki upaasna kar rahe the aur aapki nahi. Kintu fir bhi Narayan aapki sahayata hetu avatarit huye hai, ab unn par sandeh kar aap unka apmaan na kare." Srinav said.

"Jaisa aap kahe." Indra nodded.
