CHAPTER 96
After the death of Shambuk, order was once again established in Kosal, nature again became bountiful. Citizens were happy that their king always followed his Raj-dharma, and was willing to go to extreme lengths for his citizens.
Since peace was restored, everyone went back to their daily life, free from the fear of any sort of transgression, they performed their swa-dharma.
The kingdom also seemed to be flourishing, more and more each day, the progress had increased by many folds, since Rameshwari was included in the court.
The people now were much more impressed by their princess. And as per her, she was happily worshipping her isht-devi, the all-mother, Mata Durga.
"सर्वमंगल मांगल्ये शिवे सर्वार्थ साधिके।
शरण्ये त्र्यंबके गौरी नारायणि नमोऽस्तुते।।" Rameshwari chanted offering bunch of flowers to her feet like Red hibiscus, marigold and lotus, favourite of the goddess.
Forming the Durga Mudra with her hands by closing her fists and pressing the thumb between index finger and middle finger, she closed her eyes and sat still to meditate, fixing her mind upon the Jagat-janani.
Rameshwari daily meditated like so, to garner strength, keep her impulses in check and keep her inner state in control. She had learned this from her father, who'd always meditate with his mind fixed on Mahadev.
Doing this meditation for a while she'd always feel Mata Durga, bestowing courage and strength to her. But today the all-mother bestowed something else to her as well.
And suddenly, in darkness of her closed eyes, a flash of bright light took form of a radiant white horse, decked in gold, with an army behind him carrying the the flag of Ayodhya. This blurry vision was accompanied by a chant, which fell loud and clear in her ears.
"CHAKRAVARTI RAJA RAM CHANDRA KI JAI !"
Rameshwari opened her eyes and which gazed right at the idol of Mahishasur-Mardhini, which always seemed to be beaming at her.
A small smile appeared on the face of Rameshwari, as she bowed deeply in front of the goddess, understanding her signal completely.
"Pitashree ki samman mei, Praja ke sukhi mei aur Rajya ki samriddhi mei vriddhi ho." She prayed before turning to her heels and walking out.
Rameshwari didn't waste a moment, to run to her father, who at this time would be in his room.
"Pitashree !" She called sprinting straight to him, who was seated in his desk, and hugging him from behind.
"Kya huya Ramey ?" He asked with a gleaming smile, holding her arms, around his neck.
"Mujhe aapse kuch baat karni hai." She said.
"Meri gudiya ko kuch chahiye kya ?" Shri Ram asked with a chuckle, making her sit beside him and cupping her face.
"Ha." She nodded.
"Batao kya ?" He asked in a curious voice.
"Akhand Bharatvarsh." She said.
"Tatparya ?" He asked with a frown.
"Mai chaahti hu, ki Bharatvarsh jo khandit ho, tukdo mei bata huya hai, woh fir ek baar kisi Chakravarti ke shaashan mei punah jeevit ho jaye. Dharm-rajya sthapit ho, jis prakar Manu aur Chakravarti Bharat ke samaye tha." Rameshwari said.
"Accha ? Toh mere paas kyu aayi ho ?" Shri Ram asked knowingly.
"Mai chaahti hu ki aap woh Chakravarti bane." Rameshwari said.
"Mujhme aisa kya dikha tumhe ?" Shri Ram asked with a smile.
"Aapke kya kya nahi dikha mujhe Pitashree. Aap mei ek Chakravarti aur Purushottam banne ke sabhi gun hai. Aapke netritva mei yadi nishashtra Vanar, Ravan ki ajay Rakshas sena ko parast kar sakte hai toh sochiye Bharatvarsh ke logo ko toh kalyaan hi ho jayega." Rameshwari said.
Shri Ram pondered over the topic, he too wished to firmly establish the bulwark of righteousness. And he believed this was the signal to perform the unsurpassed Rajsuya yagya of the Yug.
Shri Ram gazed back at his daughter, the determination in whose eyes motivated him also. Her words appeared to him, like the wish of Akhand Maharani.
He caressed her face with a smile.
"Uchit hai. Chalo iss khandit raashtra ko, punah akhand kare." Shri Ram said.
Rameshwari grinned with gleaming eyes.
"Pratihari !" He called, and a maid entered the room with joined hands.
"Aadesh Maharaj." She said.
"Yuvraj Bharat aur Rajkumar Lakshman ko yaha upasthit hone ko kahe." Shri Ram said.
