CHAPTER 89
"Hey Maa Durga, Vijay humari ho." Rameshwari said offering flowers to the mother goddess.
The Ram-Suta was clad in golden armour, a sword hanging from her hip, while a dagger hanging on her waist, the best bow Gandiv on her shoulder, two quivers tied on her back filled with arrows and a glorious gem-studded suryavanshi diadem resting on her head.
After bowing down one last time in front of the Mahishasur-mardhini idol, Rameshwari went straight to the stables.
There her horse was, Vajra, all decked up and ready to march. Taking her dagger out, she slightly made a cut on her thumb, and with her warm blood, did the tilak of her horse.
"Iss yudh mei meri vijay, kirti aur praan tum par nirbhar hai, Mitra." She said.
Vajra neighed raising the front two feet and then stomping them on the ground with a ground-shaking thud, displaying his confidence and determination. Rameshwari smiled caressing his face.
Suddenly familiar sounds of footsteps fell on her ears.
"Jiji !" Her younger cousins of ages ten, nine and eight came running to her.
"Pranaam." They greeted with a bow.
"Kalyanamastu." Rameshwari smiled raising her hand.
"Jiji, yudh hetu humari shubh-kaamnaye." Taksh said.
"Vijay aapki hi hogi." Pushkal said.
"Dhanyawad." Rameshwari smiled.
"Jiji, aap hume yudh ki kahaniya sunayengi na ?" Angad asked.
"Aapko hume sab batana hoga." Chandraketu said.
"Arrey pehle yudh se aa toh jaane do." Rameshwari chuckled.
She then looked at the eight year old twins of Shatrughan and Shrutkirti, they nervously quiet.
"Subahu aur Shatrughati itne shaant kaise ?" Rameshwari asked.
"Jiji, hume bhaye lag raha hai." Subahu said.
"Kyu ?" Rameshwari frowned.
"Woh aap yudh pe jaa rahi hai na, iss liye." Shatrughati said.
"Akele thodi jaa rahi hu. Tumhare Pitashree Ripudaman mere saath hai. Mujhe kuch nahi hoga." She said.
The twins of Shatrughan nodded before hugging the waist of their elder sister, Rameshwari chuckled ruffling their heads.
"Shigreh laut ke aayungi aur tum sab ko yudh ki kahani sunayungi." Rameshwari said softly. Subahu and Shatrughati looked at her and smiled after being assured.
Rameshwari then took the leave of her cousins and got mounted on her magnificent black horse and rode it to the front yard of the palace, where the army was set up.
But the amusing thing was that which was happening with Shatrughan.
"Mai bata raha hu Shatrughan, Rama ke saath kuch anhoni huyi toh tumhe mujhse koi nahi bacha payega." Lakshman warned.
"Aapko kehne ki awashyakta nahi hai mere Bhaiya.... Woh meri bhi bhatiji hai." Shatrughan assured.
"Vyarth chinta karte ho tum log." Shri Ram said.
"Arrey bhaiya, kaise chinta na kare ? Eklauti bhatiji hai humari." Bharat said.
Rameshwari got off her horse and walked towards them with a smile on her face. Shri Ram too looked at her with a smile, as he did her Vijay tilak.
Similarly Shrutkirti also did the tilak of Shatrughan.
"Rama par aanch nahi aani chahiye, swami." She said.
"Arrey wah, sabko Rama ki chinta hai lekin meri nahi. Ram bhaiya ko chhod koi yeh nahi bola ki Shatrughan apna dhyaan rakhna." The Ripudaman said.
"Kyuki Rama ka pehla yudh hai." Shrutkirti said.
"Chinta mat kijiye Chachishree. Chhote chacha ke hote mujhe kuch nahi hoga. Aur mere paas Maa Bhavani ka aashirvad bhi toh hai." Rameshwari said.
"Uchit kaha Ramey ne. Putri, tumhare aseemit shaurya, Shatrughan ka maarg-darshan aur Maa Durga ke aashirvad se vijay tumhari hi hogi. Jaao, apne parakram se adharm aur atank ka naash kar, Raghukul ki kirti badhao. Vijaye bhava !" Shri Ram said.
Both Rameshwari and Shatrughan bowed to him. The Ram-Suta then got mounted on her magnificent horse Vajra, while Shatrughan got on his glorious rath.
And so they marched to Madhurapuri, with their army. There the news of the attack had already reached Lavanasur.
"Ayodhya se aakraman ? Kaun kaun aa raha hai ?" He asked.
"Ayodhya-naresh ke sabse chhote bhai Shatrughan aur unki putri Rameshwari." A minister informed.
"Ha ! Kosal-naresh swayam nahi ana chaahte toh apne chhote bhai aur putri ki bali dedi ! Aane do ! Mere shakti ke samaksh kuchle jaayenge dono !" Lavanasur scoffed.

A/N
Arrey arrey Lavanasur.... Woh Shatrughan aur Rameshwari hai.... Unn chacha bhatiji ke jodi se toh swayam Lakshman ji panga nahi lete aur tu lega ? Rehne de 🤣🤣🤣
Also, in actual Uttar Ramayan, the war against Lavanasur doesn't happen so late. It happens right after the birth of Luv Kush.
But I wanted Rameshwari to be a part of this war, so for plot reasons it's happening late.
