CHAPTER 84

"Rajkumari Rameshwari, aapne apne Buddhi aud Shaurya dono ka parichaye diya hai, agli pratiyogita mei aapko dono ka saath mei pramaan dena hoga." Vasisth said.

"Jaisa aap kahe." Rameshwari said with joined hands.

Suddenly a violent neigh of a horse fell on her ears. She turned her head only to see a tall, black horse being brought to the stadium.

The ashwapals were holding it with various ropes as the horse agressively tried to free itself. Seeing his bigger stature than other horses, it was clear he was from Kambhoj, from where come the best of horses.

The Ashwapals managed to drag the horse till his eyes fell on Rameshwari. Believing her to be the reason for why he was tied up like this, the horse neighed angrily at her.

But Rameshwari calmly looked at him, although his eyes seemed red with anger, she could see his discomfort and innocence beneath them.

The Ashwapals removed the ropes from the black horse, and the moment the Kambhoj animal was free, he neighed violently running towards Rameshwari.

The horse raised his front two feet as her, ready to crush the 15 year old princess under his feet, but Rameshwari caught hold of his hoofs.

"SHAANT !" She commanded, pushing the black horse to the side.

But the horse wasn't ready to calm down, he ran towards her again, this time she moved to the side, grabbed him by his reigns and made him turn to her, pulling his head down.

She kept her hand over his head, the soft touch of her hand seemed to have an effect on him.

"Shhh. Koi kuch nahi karega." She cooed caressing his head.

The horse calmed down, and kept staring at Rameshwari, who began removing the saddle and reigns from him, knowing they were the reason for his discomfort.

And when those bondages were removed from her, Rameshwari saw how magnificent the horse looked in itself, his shiny black skin gleaming like silk even his hair was long and soft.

Indeed this horse was a specimen of Kambhoj horses, but the most beautiful thing about him seamed to be his eyes, which were gleaming like night sky.

Rameshwari smiled at him, seeing which the horse neighed before touching his forehead to hers. Rameshwari chuckled caressing his cheek.

The Ashwapals came towards them, the horse neighed seeing them, backing away a little.

"Shh. Koi kuch ahit nahi karega." She said seeing his nervousness.

The horse calmed down again, as Rameshwari looked at the Ashwapals.

"Kripya, isse bandhan mei na bandhiyega." She requested.

"Jo aagya Rajkumari." They said.

The Ashwapals gently took the horse away, which turned his head to see Rameshwari who waved her hand at him with a smile.

After he was gone, a man came towards her and handed her a spear. She wondered what the next challenge was going to be.

Suddenly a loud roar was heard, Rameshwari looked to her left and saw two soldiers bringing in a tiger who was roaring from his cage.

A frown appeared on the eyes of Rameshwari, as she noticed the mouth of the tiger, few teeth were missing. And seeing him captured in a cage, it was clear that this tiger was a man-eater. Even his blood-lust eyes seeing the crowd, was proving the fact.

The moment the soldiers opened the cage, the tiger jumped out and instead of lunging at Rameshwari, it ran straight to the edge of the stadium where the crowds were.

Rameshwari gasped as she too ran at the tiger's direction. The people screamed seeing the tiger run close but before it could lunge at them, he was pulled by his tail and thrown to the other side of the ground by Rameshwari.

The tiger got up and seeing his perpetrator, he growled showing his teeth to scare her but Rameshwari remained unbothered as she spun her spear, showing that she was also ready for battle.

But seeing this Hanuman frowned.

"Rameshwari ! Woh baag nihatta aur tum shashtra liye !? Yahi sikhaya hai kya maine !?" Hanuman scolded.

"Kshama Gurudev." Rameshwari smiled apologetically throwing the spear away.

The tiger ran towards and lunged at her, causing everyone's breath to hitch. But Rameshwari held his paws firmly, not allowing him to attack.

"SHAANT !" She commanded.

But the tiger became even more violent as he roared right at her face, but she remained steadfast and threw him away.

The people cheered for her, and seeing those people with his blood-lust eyes, the tiger again tried to lunge at the people, the archers were ready to shoot at it, but Rameshwari on time reached the tiger, and kicked it away.

The man-eater looked at her, furiously. She too was angry as he tried to attack her citizens again.

"Shaant ho jaa ! Anyatha keval mujhse yudh kar Nar-bhakshi !" She said.

The tiger again lunged at her, not ready to be tamed, this time Rameshwari moved to the side, and got mounted on the tiger, holding his jaws with her bare hands.

"SHAANT HOJA !" She said but the tiger roared and violently tried to free itself.

Hence there was only one option left, Rameshwari weighed the tiger down under her body, and at once ripped its jaws apart.

Everyone in arena gasped as the tiger fell down, taking it's last breath. Rameshwari sighed sadly, as knelt down, caressing the tiger.

With a sad smile, she leaned unto his ears.

"Ram." She whispered and closed the eyes of the tiger as it breathed his last.

She stood up and joined her hands in front of him, bowing her head. Rameshwari then turned around and faced Vasisth, who was ready to question her on her deeds.

"Rajkumari, aapne uss ashwa ko jaane diya kintu iss baag ka vadh kyu kiya ? Hinsak toh dono hi the." Vasisth questioned.

"Yeh satya hai Kul-Guru ki dono hi pashu atyant hinsak the. Parantu mere shaant karane par woh ashwa shaant ho gaya. Parantu mere kai prayaso ke baad yeh baag shaant nahi huya, aur isne 2 baar praja par prahaar karne ka prayas kiya. Rajkumari hone ke naate mera Raj-dharm hai ki Praja ki suraksha sunishchit karu lekin fir bhi ek Manushya hone ke naate mai Ishwar se yeh prathna karungi ki uss baag ko moksh mile." Rameshwari said.

"Saadho ! Saadho !" Vasisth praised.

"RAJKUMARI RAMESHWARI KI JAI !" The people cheered.

"Rajkumari Rameshwari, aapne aaj apne bal aur buddhi, Param-gyaan aur Rajniti, sabka parichaye diya hai. Isme aapke Guru Hanuman ka bada haath hai. Iss liye yeh sansaar aapko Hanumanti ke naam se bhi jaanega." Vasisth bestowed.

"HANUMANTI RAMESHWARI KI JAI ! HANUMANTI RAMESHWARI KI JAI !" The people hailed.
