CHAPTER 66

The royal chariots from Shripuram had halted outside the boundaries of Kosal desh to let the horses rest for a while before they head straight for the capital Ayodhya city.

Mrunmaye, was roaming around the bushes and was being followed by Shaurya-Shakti, who had accompanied him like he always did. Although they weren't blood related, their bond was no less than brothers.

"Bade Bhaiya ?" He called.

"Kya ?" Mrunmaye asked.

"Aap kuch dhundh rahe hai ?" The nine year old asked.

"Pushp." Mrunmaye said looking around the flowery bushes.

"Kiske liye ?" Shaurya-Shakti asked.

"Rajkumari ke liye, Shaurya." Mrunmaye said.

"Kintu kyu ?" Shaurya asked.

"Bade ho jaaoge tab batayunga." Mrunmaye said causing Shaurya-Shakti to frown with a pout.

Both the boys began looking around various bushes as Mrunmaye kept plucking some flowers and making them into a bunch.

He picked the most beautiful flowers from the bushes, the bouquet he was trying to make must only consist of the best flowers.

"Putra Mrun ! Putra Shaurya !" The voice of Samridhi Devi fell on their ears.

"Chaliya bhaiya, Rani-Maa bula rahi hai." Shaurya-Shakti said.

"Ha chalo." Mrunmaye said.

Both the boys ran towards the chariot and got mounted on it. And so the journey once again began for Kosal.

On the otherside in the palace, in her room, Rameshwari was getting ready with the help of her aunts.

"Yeh abhushan atyant Sundar lagenge tum par, Rama." Mandavi said putting various ornaments on her.

"Rama pe toh sabhi abhushan Sundar lagte hai, Jiji." Shrutkirti said adjusting her luxurious veil. "Kyu Urmila Jiji ?" She asked.

"Ha..." Urmila muttered lightly, as her complete focus was on putting the Kohl in the heterochromic eyes of her dear niece, without poking them.

Although by now Rameshwari would get impatient, but today she was letting her aunts take their time to get her ready. After all, a very special guest is about to come.

And once they were done, they themselves were in awe seeing their niece.

"Aah ! Ati-Sundar !" Mandavi said.

"Kisi ki kudrishti na lage." Urmila said warding off any evil eye from her.

"Aaj toh sab Rama ko hi dekhenge." Shrutkirti said.

Rameshwari chuckled shaking her head at the shower of compliments.

"Ramey ?" Shri Ram called entering her room.

But stopped in his tracks seeing how adorable and beautiful his daughter looked.

"Pitashree !" Rameshwari happily sprinted towards him, whose lips were slightly parted, with a smile.

"Urmila, tanik kajal dena." Shri Ram said.

"Ji Maharaj." Urmila nodded and handed him the small box of Kohl.

He took it and then smudged some on his fingers before putting it behind the ears of his daughter.

"Kisi ki kudrishti na lage meri Ramey ko." He smiled and she chuckled.
