It was the day of Namkaran of the princess, entire Ayodhya was joyous. There was no house that wasn't celebrating the happiness.

In the royal palace, Kaikeyi was in the chambers of Shri Ram and Devi Sita, teaching them both how to oil and bathe baby.

The little Ram-suta was lying over the legs of Kaikeyi, as she told her parents the importance of oil massage for a baby.

"Tel-maalish se shishuo ki komal haddiya shaktishaali hoti hai, jisse woh shigreh chalna sikhte hai. Iss liye kam se kam din mei 2 baar toh inki maalish karni hi chahiye." Kaikeyi said.

She took some oil from the bowl into her palms and began applying it on the Ram-suta, as Shri Ram and Devi Sita carefully watched.

'Anand aa raha hai Majhli dadi... Karte rahiye...' The Ram-suta smiled, enjoying the massage.

"Ab shishu ke haatho ko aise komalta se dabao." Kaikeyi said, gently twisting and pressing the baby's arms.

"Lagta hai ise anand aa raha hai." Shri Ram said.

'Apaar anand kahiye Pitashree.' The Ram-suta giggled.

"Ab iske paero par malish karenge." Kaikeyi said massaging the legs of the baby in a circular motion and then gently pressing them together to her torso.

She then turned the baby so her stomach faces the down, and began massaging her back.

"Rid ki haddi ka shaktishali hona atyant aavashyak hai." Kaikeyi said.

And so the oil massage was over, and then they moved to ubtan. Devi Sita and Shri Ram enthusiastically applied the paste over their baby. And then finally they bathed her with water. Finally it was time to get her dressed.

"Yeh dekho putri, maine yeh vastra aur abhushan swayam chune hai." Shri Ram said showing her the clothes he picked.

"Ha Shiromani, inhone sauchiko ko thaka hi diya vastra chunne mei. Jab bhi woh koi vastra dikhaye, yeh bolte 'isse adhik komal dikhao', kam se kam 100 vastro ko dekhne ke baad inhone yeh chune hai." Devi Sita said.

"Apni putri ko sabse shresht vastra kyu na pehenayu ? Aur Sitey tumne bhi toh iske abhushan chunne mei sabhi ratnakaro ko thaka diya. Woh jo bhi dikhaye, tumhe Sundar hi nahi lagte. Prahar bhar ke baad tumne yeh abhushan chune hai." Shri Ram said.

"Nath, aisa nahi hai ki abhushan sundar nahi the. Kintu Ayodhya ke Rajkumari ke yogya bhi toh hone chahiye." Devi Sita said.

They both looked at each other for a moment before chuckling.

"Shigreh karo tum dono. Muhurat beet jayega anyatha." Kaikeyi said.

"Awashya Mata." They said.
