PROLOGUE
After being childless for 60000 years, Rajarshi Dashrath couldn't bear it any longer. He had everything, fame, wealth, strength, valor, but still even after 3 wives, radiant in both appearance and actions, he was still childless.
But he had an assurance that his household will indeed be filled with giggles of children. He was assured by the great tapasvini Vidyashree herself when she had come to Ayodhya.
"Aapke kul ke satkarm, aur poorv janam ke satkarmo ke karan aapke ghar 4 varisht putro ka janm hoga. Aapka pratham putra, manushyo mei sabse varisht, Purushottam hoga. Dwitiya putra Bhratra-prem ka saagar hoga. Tritya putra seva-bhaav ki parakashtha aur chaturth putra veerta ki murat. Aapke chaaro putra, trilok mei apni kirti faelayenge. Bharatvarsh ki iss bhoomi ko, punah punya-bhoomi banayenge."
Remember her words, Dashrath went to Vasisth and consulted him about it. The great Brahmarishi told him to perform a putrakameshthi yagya. He suggested Dashrath to bring sage Rishyashringa to conduct it.
And following the instructions of Vasisth will full dedication, the yagya was conducted and soon the queens of Dashrath bore 4 sons.
Kaushalya gave birth to Ram, the eldest and incarnation of Narayan himself. Kaikeyi gave birth to Bharat, who was the incarnation of Sudarshan Chakra. While Sumitra gave birth to twins, Lakshman and Shatrughan who were incarnations of Sheshnaag and Panchjanya Shankh respectively.
The household of Dashrath was filled with the giggles of his children. Ayodhya were rejoicing at the birth of their princes.
But this joy was not limited to Kosal desh. In the Kingdom of Mithila, the Rajarshi Janak, steadfast in austeries and Dharma, found a baby girl while ploughing the land. He took her in as his daughter, truly Janak was blessed because that girl was incarnation of Devi Lakshmi herself.
Because she was found in the seet of the field, he named her Sita. And because she was Janak's daughter, she came to be known as Janki.
On the other side, in the kingdom of Shripuram, in home of Raja Sagar and Rani Samriddhi devi, took birth the ansh of Tridevis herself, hailed as Jyotavali, came in their home as Vaishnavi.
Not only humans but even the tribe of Vanaras were rejoicing because the Vanar chief Kesari and his wife Anjana obtained a resplendent son from Vayudev himself. Because he was the son of Marut, he was named Maruti. This son of theirs was none other than Rudra avatar of Mahadev himself.
Shri Ram and his brothers, completed their education in Vasisth Aashram. Janak-suta Sita, attained knowledge from Gargi Vachaknavi herself. And Vayuputra Maruti became the student of Surydev.
Vaishnavi of Shripuram, emersed in the devotion of Narayan, and given her destiny she was naturally inclined towards the penance to attain him.
The entire universe was being delighted by witnessing the Leela of these supreme gods and goddesses. Indeed this was a great time to live in.
