CHAPTER 65

Samriddhi devi was in her room, with her son Mrunmaye, entertaining him with dolls that once belonged to his elder sister Vaishnavi. He too would usually take interest in playing with it, but today he was bored.

"Tumhe yeh gudiya nahi chahiye ?" Samriddhi devi asked.

"Na." He said with a pout.

"Toh yeh laal vastra wali ?" She asked showing another doll to him, dresses in red.

"Na." Mrunmaye said folding his little hands.

"Yeh hare vastra wali ?" Samriddhi devi asked showing other doll dresses in yellow.

"Na Na !" Mrunmaye shook his head.

"Toh kaunsi gudiya chahiye ?" She asked.

"Sundar wali." He said.

"Tumhe yeh sab Sundar nahi lagi ?" Samriddhi devi asked.

"Na." He said as he got up and ran outside.

"Putra Mrun ? Kaha jaa rahe ho ?" Samriddhi devi too got up and ran behind him as her maids followed her.

They chased him across the entire palace. Every now and then Samriddhi devi would panic when she failed to locate Mrunmaye.

"Mrun ! Mrun !" She called running after him.

The little avatar of Yuddheshwar suddenly stopped finding himself in meadows of flowers of the royal garden. Samriddhi devi sighed in relief finally locating him.

Looking around the flowers, Mrunmaye was quickly attracted to a butterfly sitting on one flower. He went to hold it but it flew away. Mrunmaye whined as he chased after the butterfly.

Samriddhi devi chuckled seeing the adorable scene in front of him. Suddenly the maids who were left behind in the chase, reached the garden.

"Maharani, Rajkumar mile ?" One of them asked, causing the queen to look at them.

"Ha mil gaye." Samriddhi devi said.

"Kaha ?" They asked.

"Woh toh rahe tumhare samaksh." Samriddhi said but before she could point at Mrunmaye, he disappeared, again.

"Waha toh koi nahi hai." The maids said.

"Uff ! Ek kshan drishti hatao aur yeh lupt ho jata hai !" Samriddhi devi said.

She and the maids once again ran outside the garden, and looked in the possible places Mrunmaye could be. Their search eventually led them to backyard of the palace where chariots had been kept without horses.

And there they finally found Mrunmaye, chasing the butterfly with all the focus.

"Antatah mil hi gaya." Samriddhi devi sighed.

She walked towards him but stopped dead in her tracks seeing him lift up an entire chariot with his bare hands, as the maids looked at the scene with their jaws dropped.

Mrunmaye looked around, apparently the butterfly he was chasing had went under the chariot, so he picked it up to find it. A pout appeared on his face, as the butterfly was now out of his sight.

"Mrun ?" Samriddhi devi called with a shaky voice, causing him to look at her.

"Putra Mrun.... Rath ko niche rakh do... Mere priya putra ho na ? Niche rakh do rath ko." She said, fear evident in her voice.

But to everyone's relief Mrunmaye obeyed and kept the chariot down. Samriddhi devi sighed but the maids were still very much in shock.

Mrunmaye ran towards his mother, but due to his wobbly steps, his foot slipped and he fell down. Tears were quick to well up in his eyes and roll down in cheeks.

"Maa !" He cried extending his hands towards his mother who was quick to rush to him and pick him up in her arms.

"Koi baat nahi putra, shaant ho jaao." She cooed.

From Chaitanya Lok, Amarsri was chuckling at the scene.

"Janm liye 1 maah bhi nahi huya aur aapne sabko varsh bhar vyaayaam karwa diya dev." She giggled.
