CHAPTER 51

The Vanar contingent that had gone east, west and north, returned after a month with no information about Devi Sita.

But even after a month, the contingent that left to south did return. Initially they lost way in cave called Riksh, where they met a saintly lady Swayamprabha, who protected the cave.

She ensured the Vanars had comfortable stay in the cave with lots of fruits and drinks. They lived in the caves and feasted for many days together until they realised one month had passed.

Swayamprabha helped them reach the northern shore of the sea. But due to a month's time being over the Vanars became clueless about the next course of action.

They had no clue about Devi Sita's location and were afraid what Sugreev will do if they come empty handed. Being the leader of the contingent, Angad was especially stressed.

He had failed his uncle, or rather he believed that he had been set up for failure because Sugreev wanted to kill him. The wounds of Vali's death in his heart got on the surface.

Angad suggested to fast unto death which he deemed was better than facing the punishment by Sugreev. Another Vanar named Taar gave another suggestion, to go back and enjoy rest of their lives in the Riksha cave where neither Sugreev nor Shri Ram could harm them.

The vanars were loving this suggestion but this turn of events made Hanuman uncomfortable. The idea of Taar will have serious implications for Sugreev's kingship and unity of Vanars. It could in the future instigate a seige on Kiskindha.

Angad was liking the advice of Taar, who was a smart but shrewd Vanar, who seemed to be provoking the crown prince to rebel. Hence Hanuman decided to create a rift between them. He reminded Angad of his strengths.

The son of Vali had sharp intellect with 8 fold cognitive abilities. He was a master of 4 essential strengths required of an administrator and 14 qualities expected of a leader. Not to mention he was full of valour and strength, plus his popularity and stature were steadily on the rise, like the waxing moon of the bright fortnight.

With wise and smart use of his words, Hanuman changed the minds of several Vanars and obtaining the majority on his side, Hanuman firmly warned Angad about the consequences of any misadventure.

And then with gentle tone he reminded the fact that if Angad stays loyal to Sugreev then he will succeed him to the throne, and how his uncle was a kind man of virtues, who is genuinely fond of Angad and doesn't harbour any resentment.

Angad understood Hanuman's council but didn't quite agree with his assessment of Sugreev. Angad believed that Sugreev undertook this expedition out of fear of Lakshman's arrows.

Hanuman allowed him to grieve for sometime, because reconciliation can only happen after acceptance of reality. He believed time will show a way to convince Angad once again.

On the other side time had already indicated Shreeshaktiswar about his next course of action as he could feel himself being pulled down on earth, due to the Putrakamesti yagya going on Shripuram for more than a month.

"Avtaran ka samaye aa gaya hai priya." Srinav said.

He looked at Amarsri who gave him a smile, that was inevitable hiding the pain of separation. It could be hidden from the world but not her.

"Jaane se poorv, meri iccha hai ki mai aapka Sringaar karu." He said.

"Awashya." Amarsri smiled.
