CHAPTER 40
Hanuman brought Shri Ram and Lakshman to Rishyamukh parvat and confirmed their identities along with reasons for coming to Sugreev.
Shri Ram and Sugreev shared their sorrows and bonded over their afflictions. Both had a similar fate, forcefully banished from the Kingdom and were forcibly separated from their wives.
"Mere bade bhai Vali ne mujhe akaaran niskaashit karne ke saath, meri patni Ruma ko bhi mujhse chheen liya. Hey Shri Ram, kripa karke bataye ki Ravan aapki patni Devi Sita ko kaha le gaya ?" Sugreev asked.
"Nahi pata. Keval itna pata hai ki woh Vayumaarg se usse Dakshin ki oor le gaya hai." Shri Ram said.
"Vayu-maarg se ? Oh. Toh woh aapki hi patni thi." Sugreev said, remembering few days back a woman who was abducted and forcefully being taken on a flying chariot and screaming to be saved.
"Meri patni ? Arthat ?" Shri Ram asked. Sugreev nodded and gestured a Vanar to bring the things she dropped at Rishyamukh parvat.
"Ek din humne yaha ek stree ki dard-bhari pukaar suni thi. Woh sahayata ke liye ro rahi thi. Kintu woh Rath Pawan ki gati se jaa raha tha iss liye hum kuch kar nahi paaye. Parantu uss stree ke vastra ek tukde ke saath apne kuch abhushan yaha gira diye, humne usse sambhal ke rakha hai." Sugreev said.
By the time the Vanar brought the bundle dropped at Rishyamukh and Sugreev showed it to Shri Ram, who instantly knew that the piece of yellow silk clothing and those jewellery belonged to his wife.
"Lakshman, yeh toh Sita ke hai." Shri Ram said.
He became so emotional that he fell on his knees as tears rolled down his cheeks once again. He held the bundle close to his heart.
"Dheeraj rakhiye bhaiya." Lakshman said.
"Prabhu Ram, mai jaanta hu pati ko patni ke bina kitni peeda hoti hai. Kintu abhi dukhi hone ka samaye nahi hai. Yadi mere paas meri sena hoti toh mai usse chaaro disha mei bhej Devi Sita ko khoj nikalta. Dashrath-nandan Shri Ram, meri ek vinti hai. Kyu na hum dono mitrata kar apne shakti aur bal se apne dukho ka annt karde ?" Sugreev extended a hand of friendship.
"Dharmparayan Sugreev, mujhe aapki maitri ka prastaav swikar hai." Shri Ram said holding Sugreev's hand.
Hanuman then rubbed two wooden sticks and created fire, around which Shri Ram and Sugreev circumbulated to cement their bond of friendship.
Shri Ram promised to kill Vali and help Sugreev to get back the kingdom and his wife. In return Sugreev promised that he will give every kind of support to Shri Ram to bring back Devi Sita.

A/N
Now we're gonna look at the second controversial topic of Ramayan, first being Shurpnakha's disfigurement and now Vali Vadh.
And you know people think Vanars were monkeys... But it's not the case. Sanskrit for Monkey is Kapi, but these are called Vanar, which if you break it down it's Van + Nar, essentially Van ka Nar.
So it means that Vanars were humans. Because they spoke and communicated in Sanskrit, like Hanuman ji, which means they used to learn Vedas and Vyakaran. How can a monkey talk ?
They are described as to walk on two legs, that too erect. Vanar are described to be tall and have well built body. Can't be a monkey.
And again, they used to live in and govern kingdoms. Yes, animals do live in groups with an appointed head, but it's not the same as compared to governing actual kingdoms, practicing diplomacy and making policies.
So there is a theory that says, Vanar were a different species of humans. They could have been Homo erectus, which can be true since Homo Erectus and Homo Sapiens did co-exist at one point and Erectus did exist in India as well.
And as per the magnificent tails.... That's a mystery ✨
