4.4 • Let's Get Divorced

Zaviar dragged Parisa into a random hotel room because he was afraid that she will create a scene in her God knows what condition. She can't control her sassy mouth in full consciousness, what will she do when she is not aware of her actions?

“Zaviar...” She mumbled with a pout on her reddened face.

“Parisa, please stop.” He said softly.

“But I love you.” She again made a pouty face.

Zaviar smiled. His eyes shone like a bright star at hearing what she just said.

“That doesn't mean you have right to give me hickies. Tell me your brother's contact number.” He asked.

“Haw, my father had a son and I didn't even know about it.” She shouted at the top of her lungs. Even her dead father could hear her.

Zaviar slapped his forehead.

“Parisa, I'm talking about the guy who was with you earlier.” He clarified.

“Oh, Alamgeer? He is not my brother.” She chuckled.

“Oh, so is he your cousin?” He asked again.

“Nope.” She had an amused grin on her face as if she will burst into laughter any moment.

“Then who is he?” He couldn't join the dots.

“I won't tell you.” And she began laughing.

Zaviar couldn't quite understand what was so funny about it.  While Parisa couldn't control laughter and kept laughing without a pause. Her stomach began hurting yet she couldn't control. While Zaviar was looking at her as if she was a unicorn.

And suddenly the door opened.

It was Alamgeer.

Zaviar quickly acted, he didn't want Parisa's... whatever to think anything wrong about this situation.

“Hey, Parisa is not in her senses. So I brought her here because she has a tendency to get into messed up situations.” He explained before Alamgeer could even ask.

“No, it's alright. I just saw you bringing her here and wanted to check in case you turn out to be the bad guy.” Alamgeer told honestly.

“Oh, that's really nice of you, really. By the way, who are you?” Zaviar asked the question confusing him for the last few minutes. He was curious why Parisa began laughing on this question.

Alamgeer hesitated for a few moments before replying with an awkward smile, “I am her husband.”

At that moment of revelation, Zaviar's mouth hung open in shock. He couldn't contemplate on what to say. He kept silently loving a married woman for so long. And she never even told him about her marital status.

His love and admiration for Parisa turned into anger when he realised how dishonest she was with him.

Alamgeer was still standing at the door, looking at the changing expressions on Zaviar's face. While Parisa unaware of what just happened, had fallen asleep on the bed in between her fits of laughter.

“Please take your wife home, Alamgeer.” That was all he said before passing by the side of Alamgeer, leaving the hotel room.

Alamgeer took a loud breath when Zaviar left. He looked at a sleeping Parisa.

“Wow. Both of us are in love with someone else. Absolutely not a made for each other couple.” He mumbled to himself and picked her up in his arms and took her to the car.

He was kind of relieved.

🕊️🕊️🕊️

The next morning, Parisa woke up as she did on a normal day. Alamgeer, who was already ready for the day, was confused to see that she had no hangover.

“Why you are not having a hangover?” He asked in a confused tone.

A very sleepy Parisa looked at him and shouted, “Aapko mai sharaaban lagti hoon?”

(Do I look like a drunkard to you?)

She had her eyes widened with anger. How dare he say that to her.

“Kal raat toh Devdas ki chhathi aulaad lag rahi thi.” He commented, though he hadn't seen her doing anything crazy. But still exaggerating doesn't hurt.

(Last night, you seemed so.)

“Aap apni dadi ke hi potey hai. Ek number ke zehreele.” She taunted him on his Dadi's name.

(You truly are your grandmother's grandson. Very venomous.)

“Meri dadi ko kuch bhi bol do, lekin khabardar agar mujhe kuch kaha toh.” Alamgeer could care less about his toxic Dadi who loves to dictate other's lives.

(Say whatever about my grandmother, but careful if you said anything about me.)

“Aisa kyun?” Parisa was confused at his statement.

(Why so?)

“Uss budhiya se mai bhi bohat tang hoon.” He said his mind.

(I am too annoyed by that old lady.)

“Sachchi!” She exclaimed to finally find a person who reciprocate her dislike towards that old lady.

(Really!)

“Haan, mai toh intzaar kar raha hoon kab woh marey aur mai hamare talaak ke kaagaz tayaar karvaun.” Again, he was being honest.

(Yes, I'm waiting when she will die and I will prepare the documents of our divorce.)

“Arrey wah! Aap bhi talaak ke liye itne desperate hai. Kahi Germany mai koi mil toh nahi gayi?” She grinned while asking so. She couldn't believe even Alamgeer wanted a divorce.

(Oh wow! You are also desperate for divorce. Have you found any girl in Germany?)

“Jee haan, mil gayi. Tabhi toh tumse piccha chhudane ke liye betaab hoon.” He smiled.

(Yes, I found. That's why I'm desperate to get rid of you.)

“Mujhe bhi koi mahobbat nahi hai aapse.” She told back.

(Even I don't love you.)

“Haan bhai, tumhe toh Zaviar mil gaya hai. By the way, kal raat usey pata chal gaya.” He told her the half information while scratching his head.

(Yes, you have Zaviar. By the way, last night he found out.)

“Kya pata chal gaya?” Parisa asked.

(What did he find out?)

“Hamari shadi ke bare mein.” He disclosed.

(About our marriage.)

“Haye Allah! Mera toh hook up hone se pehle hi break up ho gaya.” She cried dramatically.

(Oh God! My break up happened before my hook up.)

“Koi baat nahi, mai baitha hoon naa patch up karwane ko. Tum bhi raazi ho aur mai bhi raazi hoon. Meri toh saari tension hi khatam. Should I approach a divorce lawyer?” He was so, so desperate to get divorced and marry the love of her life.

(Don't worry, I'm sitting here to do the patch up. You are ready and I am too ready. My all tension has vanished. Should I approach a divorce lawyer?)

“Shubh kaam mein deri kaisi. Lekin budhiya ko kaise manayenge?” She was afraid that Dadi will definitely create a new drama over this topic. She won't let them get divorced.

(Why delay a good deed. But how will we persuade the old lady?)

“Haan, yeh bhi hai. Lekin manane ki zarurat hi kya hai. Hamare talaak ke baare mein sunte hi Dadi ko heart attack aa jayega. Ek teer se do shikaar.” Alamgeer suggested with a grin. Listening to his devious idea she couldn't believe he is the only grandson of that old lady. But still the woman had earned it with her hypocrisy and toxicity.

(Yes, that's the problem as well. But what's the need to persuade her? She will herself get a heart attack after listening to our divorce's news. One arrow, two sparrows.)

“Talaak bhi ho jayega aur Dadi ke taane bhi nahi sunne padenge. Aap karo talaak ki tayaari. Hum aaj hi Dadi ko heart attack dilwa dete hai.” Parisa announced before getting up from the bad and quickly heading to get a shower.

(Divorce will happen and I won't have to listen to Dadi's taunts. You prepare for the divorce. We will give heart attack to Dadi today itself.)

It was going to be life-changing morning.
