Recap:

"Please look after me and my new family, Papa." I said, before I too walked home, or well disappeared in my on version of the Flying Thunder God Technique.

Story Start:

The next morning I woke up to a messenger bird to the Hokage, summoning me. I sighed before I summoned Emi. I told her to tell Kakashi that I had been summoned and I won't be able to be at the meeting spot. To just go on without me. After she had gotten the message and went on her way, I reappeared behind the Hokage's door. I was curious as to what he wanted. Especially because even though I was a jonin, I was still part of Team 7 and it was our first mission today as a squad.

Knock! Knock!

"Come in," spoke the old voice of another family member of mine, the Hokage.

As soon as I was given the okay, I walked in and bowed to him.

"Rise child. I know that you are a part of Team 7 and it is their first mission today but since you are a jonin, I might have you going on seperate missions at times. This is one of those times. Bring in our guest."

After that a sleazy old man walked in. He smelled of alcohol and he still had a bottle drinking more. He scrutinized me for a minute or too before he turned to the Hokage.

"She's just a kid. How is she supposed to protect me, and get me there in one piece."

"Listen old man. I may be young, but I am a jonin and you might be our client, but I am serious when it comes to respect. In which if you give me respect, I'll give it to you in return. Just remember that. Oh! One more thing. I always take my missions seriously, so you have nothing to worry about." I said while glaring at the old man.

The old man looked at me in surprise, that I would actually stand up to him. After his initial surprise, he turned to glaring at, in which I was more than happy to return in a glare that was much scarier than his. We stayed like that for a while and eventually he started to sweat bullets under the power of my glare. The Hokage watched until he thought that it was enough.

"That's enough Hana. Hana this is Tazuna, a master bridge builder. I'll give you the information for the mission once I figure out the rest of the squad, I want you to lead. I also want you to watch him and show hime around the village for a little while. I would suggest taking him to grab something to eat before you leave later on today. Then come back here and wait when you are done."

'Hai!" I said.

With that Tazuna and I walked out, determined to get something to eat. Most of the journey was quiet. It was an uncomfortable quietness that I was determined to interrupt. So I turned to Tazuna and spoke.

"Look Tazuna. I'm sorry about in there. You just underestimated me and I hate when people do that. I blew it way out of proportion and I didn't act professional. I'm sorry."

"It's okay kid. You were right about the respect thing though and I respect you now. I was actually impressed that you stood up to me. With you on this mission, I'm sure to be okay. I trust you with my life." he replied.

"Good, now let's get some Ichiraku Ramen." We both walked in with mutual hunger and respect for eachother.

............................With Team 7

"Ha ha ha ha. Stupid kitty. That cat deserves to be squashed. Ha ha." laughed Naruto.

They had just returned from a mission of rescueig a runaway cat. When they returned the cat, the owner started squishing the poor thing with it's boobs. The other three felt sorry for it, but since it scratched Naruto, when he picked it up upside down, he had no remorse for the poor thing.

"No wonder it ran away." commented Sakura.

"For Squad 7's next mission, we have a few available tasks. Among them, babysitting the chief council's three year old, helping his wife to do the shopping, digging up potatos, and-" the

Hokage spoke only to be rudely interrupted.

"No. I want to go on a real mission. Something challengeing and exciting. Not this little kids stuff. Come on old man." yelled Naruto while placing his arms in a X shape across his chest.

"How dare you. You're just a brand new genin with no experience. Like everyone else, you start with simple missions to develop your skill." shouted Iruka.

"Are you serious? Babysitting is not a mission it's just a stupid ch-" Naruto shouted in reply. He was cut off though with a hit to the head, causing him to faceplant.

"Will you put a lid on it. You're luck it was just me. If Hana was here you'd have it much worse. She doesn't like disrespect where it is needed." scolded Kakashi.

"Naruto! It seems you do not understand the tasks that have been given. Listen. Many different kinds of requests have been coming into our village every day, from babysitting to assassinations. These requests are carefully recorded, analyzed, then ranked A, B, C, or D depending on their difficulty. We ninja are also ranked by ability. Hokage at the top. Jonin, chunin, and genin at the bottom. At the highest level we assign missions to ninja with the appropriate skill and experience and if the mission is successful, we receive a fee that supports our village. Since you are untried genin just starting down the shinobi path, you are given D level assignments of course. Hmm?" spoke the Hokage.

"So I had Itpatu Ramen yesterday and I'm thinking Misu Ramen today." Naruto spoke to himself, completely ignoring the Hokage with the rest of the squad listening to him.

"Silence." the Hokage yelled angrily.

This caused all of them to snap to attention at the sound of the Hokage yelling.

"Oh. Sorry" spoke Kakashi, not really sounding sorry at all.

"You always lecture me like you're my grandfather or something. But I'm not the little brat who used to pull pranks all the time. I'm a ninja now and I want a ninja mission. Hmmm." Naruto said stubbornly. He then turns around and crosses his arms and puffs out his cheeks.

"Naruto wants us to know that he's not a brat. That he's a former brat and he wants a mission. So be it. Since you are so determined. I'm going to give you a C ranked mission. You'll be bodygaurds on journey." the Hokage said.

"Really?" asked Naruto. While the other two genin looked surprised and Kakashi just looked bored.

"Yes! Who? Who? Are we gaurding a princess or a big time counciler?" he asked excitedly.

"Don't be so impatient. I will bring him in now. This was actually supposed to be Hana's mission with another squad of gening to give their instructor a break, but I suppose I'll just send you all. Send in our visitor, Hana" spoke the Hokage.

The door opened and in walked Tazuna with me right behind him. He gave the same glare to the three gening like he did me when he first saw that I was just some little girl, that he soon found out was wrong.

"What tha? A bunch of little snot nosed kids?" asked Tazuna before he took a long drink of his Sake.

"And you the little one with the idiotic look on your face. You really expect me to believe you're a ninja?" he continued.

"Hahaha. Whos the little one with the idiotic look on his face?" Naruto asked to only realise it was himself.

Okay I know it's short, but it being Christmans Eve this is all I had time to do. So after Christmas, I'll finish writing. Anyways enjoy.
