Chapter 4

"GO!!!"

You jerked forward to start, only with all the gracefulness you were programmed with you stumbled and slammed your faceplate into the ground. The crowd erupted with laughter you yourself laughing as you pushed yourself up off the ground and bolted after the light blue mech on pede.

It didn't take you long to catch up to him.  You giggled softly and got into pace with him. You waved a little at your opponent only to have him snarl and force himself faster.  You hummed softly your visor scanning for the most desirable path. You chose to ignore it instead opting to run beside Blurr.

You followed as he zig-zagged around the bots on the roads. You remained right at his tail allowing him to carve a path through the masses. You managed to get yourself stuck in a particular group of femmes walking and babbling on about inane things. You managed to get around them and throw your helm around.

Now would be a good time to follow the set path your scan created. You bounced on your pedes a little and rushed down a slim ally as directed. You soon enough got right back at Blurr's side, you could make out his light blue finish from between the buildings. He skidded to a stop at the side of a road and tapped his pede in an annoyed manner.

You kicker yourself up off the building beside you and into the air. You could see why he stopped. It wasnt exactly the best idea to bolt headlong into heavy traffic. You supposed it was time to active your blades.

The protocols whirred to life and sent a tingle down your stabilizers. Your pedes shifted as your bright blue blades slid out. As soon as you hit the ground you speed into traffic. You glided gracefully around the speeding alt forms. Your visor flashing warnings about incoming alts. You almost reached the other side when your visor flashed an almost too late warning.

You dropped to the ground backstruts flat against it. You could feel the heavy winds that whipped around your armor as you remained unmoving. The massive alt's treads a shoulder length away from you. You got a good look at the undercarriage of the bot. Soon enough you were looking up at the sky again.

You leapt up to your pedes and skated off as though nothing happened.

You skated around a curve and saw the arch. You slowed ever so slightly when you reached the edge of the crowd. All optics were on you as you slowly glided towards the finish line. You could feel your nervousness peak as you crossed it. You fiddled a little with your servos your visor dim.

Blurr ran up behind you and crossed the line panting hard. You turned and glided backwards. All optics remained on yourself as your gaze settled on Blurr. You didn't say anything, just studied him. His flushed faceplate the way his chassis heaved to take in air. A feeling fluttered in your chassis as you felt your own faceplate warming.

You were new to this. You didn't know what this feeling was, or why you were feeling it. It was probably from your lack of contact with other bots. You eventually lost momentum and slowed to a complete stop. Blurr looked up at you his optics bright and narrow. You squeaked softly and brought your servos up to your visor thankful for its protection from the prying optics of the other bots.

You turned your helm when a bot placed a servo on your shoulder plate. Wheeljack hummed a little.

"It's time we get goin' sweetspark." He hummed gently tugging you away

You allowed yourself to be pulled and glanced back towards Blurr, whom had straightened himself. The flutter in your spark was weird to you, yet it felt so nice.

Hopefully it's not a serious malfunction in your sparkial systems.
