Chapter 25

Your mind felt groggy and out of focus. Shifting up a little you slid your optics over area you found yourself in, a small shiver rattled your plating as a cool breeze swept across you. Shifting up a little you hummed in confusion and looked at the grasses that rested in your servo, running your thumb over the soft plant before opening your servo and letting it float away in the breeze.

"Where am I?" You murmured softly as you began to stand

Glancing around your optics found the a lovely almost painted scenery around you, one that you felt you've seen before. Everything felt familiar, from the air and grasses to the sights around you. The only thing that felt different was your frame, it was only slight differences, it felt heavier, less sleek. It didn't bother you too much though, as you began your trek to seemingly no where.

"Hmm?" You hummed quietly as you heard what sounded like water, deciding you didn't have any other options you began to wander towards the sound

Soon you found yourself at the banks of a small creek running and making the soft and gentle sounds. Sitting down at the bank you gently peaked into the water getting a large surprise, there you were, no modifications, no screen, no speedster tech, just a plain simple soldier bot. Reaching up to touch along your face, it felt odd to you, but familiar, like it was you, but not you.

You couldn't even remember a time you looked like this, you had been swept away from regular training after all. But you could remember it just faintly, just a faint flicker of a weak little light in a room filled with bright neon lights. A soft smile settled on your derma as you lowered your servo still studying your face as it danced in the moving water.

A new sound caused you to pique up your interest and you turned to look towards where it had last been. Though you snapped your helm around when you heard it from your other side, and then behind you which caused you to jerk by just how close it was as you whipped your helm around to try and get a glimpse of what was making the loud and angry warping sound.

Slamming your servos over your audios you curled a little into yourself trying to block out the sound as it grow louder and louder all around you. Your helm felt like it was about to burst outwards from the echoing ringing within the confines of your processor, the painted world around you began to smear and bleed together into one murky gray color washing away into a bright messy white as the sound suddenly stopped.

Slowly cracking open your optics you stared at the pedes right by your helm. You recognized those pedes, why? Because they were yours.

Drawing your optics up to the helm of the bot you found that any modification you had still had its bright, shiny, and well-kept paint that you were sure you keep nice, but any part where your frame poked through your armor there was no frame only hundreds of running lines of code. As your optics landed on the screen modification your shocked and slightly scared reflection in the dark glass.

"Are... Do we have too?" You murmured very softly and as your optics stayed on the helm, "I just..... need a few more klicks..."

The modification bot slowly tilted its helm to look to the side before back to you. Swallowing you looked down and placed your helm on the ground, "Alright then.... It was nice for awhile."

But you blinked in surprise when a patch of grass grew around you, looking back up at the modifications who was looking down at you. It soon sat down as well cross legged as a timer began to tick down on the screen. A smile played on your derma as you nodded.

"Thank you." You laughed flipping back into the soft grass with a bright grin

You finally remembered this place, its a place that all forge bots have, a shut down space to attempt to keep the processor safe and calm as the bot danced between the line of life and death.

You have been here far more often than anyone should be.
