Corl POV

Kathrin was looking at me and smiled. But I was in shock that my father would even think about marriage!! "WHAT!!" I yelled at my dad. "MARRIAGE!! I'm ready for that and did you even considered my feelings into this!!!!!!" My father put his hand on my shoulder and said," Son, you are almost 19, and I want you to have wife when you become king. So miss Kathrin, is the one I have chosen for you." He seemed happy about this but I wasn't. What was this old man thinking? I can't marry a girl that I don't even know much less rule a kingdom with her.

Before I could day something to my father the dinner bell rang and we all lefted to the dinning room. I glared at my father as the maids gave us our food.

There was a long awkward silence till Kathrin said," Its very nice to meet you Corl. Your father has told me wonderful things about you." "I bet he did," I mumbled. My father heard me and stared at me with an angry look. I just have him a dirty look then looked down at the table. "Corl, may I have a word with you for a moment. Alone." My father said to me trying not to raise his voice.

I got up and walked out the dinning room with my father. I leaned up against a wall and looked at him. He sighed and said," Look, know your mad at me, and I don't blame you." I cut him off," Yah, and I bet you made lies about and said I was the best son this kingdom had ever had." I was not in the mood to hear his excuses. He started to get really mad. His face was getting red and he looked like he was about to blow up like a volcano. "You better watch your tone young man or-" I cut him off again "Or you'll do what? Chain me to this prison you call a castle? Or maybe you'll take me to the dungeon. Oh, or wait, I got a better one. You'll lock me in the tower to where no one can see me," I said raising my voice a bit with a bunch of sass. My father sighed because he knew that if he did any of this it will do nothing. He then looked at me and said," Look, at least try to get to know her. She's a really nice girl, and she is very spirited." I just said fine and walked back inside the dinning room.

I put on my polite face and sat back down at the table. I looked at Kathrin and said," Miss Kathrin, I apologize for the way I was acting earlier. I hope we can start over and get to know each other." She smiled and nodded her head.

After a while we started to talk about our likes and dislikes. We almost have nothing in common. She also is from the most largest kingdom there is. So she's very proper and is unoriginal. Don't get me wrong she's a nice girl and all but she just ain't the girl for me.

After dinner her and her family all left. I was happy to see them go, all they did was make me want to break everything in the castle.

I stomped upstairs until my dad stoped me. "Son, do be honest and tell me that she is just the most best princess this kingdom will need." I rolled my eyes and continued up stairs. "Dad I'm just not ready for marriage and we have nothing in common. And in my own opinon, I think that she will be the worst to sit next to," I told him as I slammed my bedroom door.

"I hope I never see that girl anytime soon," I said to myself as I sit on my bed waiting for 11 to come.

Hey yall, so I hope y'all like the book so far and I would also like to say that I probably wount post anything for a week. But I will keep writing and if I get a free WiFi connection then I will be posting. Anyways follow me and I will follow you. And......
