🪻Blind Witches of Gomorrah🪻

🥀1887, Romania

They were sitting by the fireplace when Annabeth took her black book and placed it on her lap. She lifted the pages and started to read:

"This is the symbol of the Pale horse, one of the four harbingers of death!"

She held the book up so Anastasia and Clodette could see. She turned the pages and found a scripture about the four harbingers of death.

"The four Harbingers of Death are depicted by their colors White, Red, Black and Pale. The White horseman symbolizes conquest he wears a diamond diadem, which can control the mind and body. The fiery Red horseman symbolizes war and violence he wields that great sword "Machaira", that can pierce anyone even the soul and damn them to Tartarus!"

The deepest parts of Hell.

"The Black horseman is famine he holds a golden weighing scale which commands the dead. No one know their true names, only their chosen master can command them!"

"More like king of zombies" Anastasia remarked.

Annabeth continued, "Little is known about the Pale horse, it is said that Hades follows him bringing forth death to the earth" She glanced up at them, "No one even know about his prowess, out of the four horsemen; the pale horseman is the most powerful and mysterious. He is not someone to obey but corrupts!"

"Moon-eyed children are not demons well–not yet" Clodette exclaimed.

"That's right! They are basically Nephilims aren't they supposed to be hybrids of angels and humans?" Anastasia stated.

"The scripture did say Nephilims are offsprings of angels and humans. They shouldn't be bound to any demonic entities as far as I know" Annabeth replied.

Annabeth turned to Clodette, "I don't know much about Claude but from the looks of it he is no ordinary moon-eyed child, Clodette. He–he is probably something more sinister. He is not just a Nephilim but demon-like creature –no, he is much more than that. He is the apocalypse, He is death itself"

All of them went silent. Clodette didn't know how to process this new found information. Everything was confusing, everything–

Annabeth quickly stood up and began to brew a potion, "There is one remedy for moon-eyed people when they are in a deep slumber" she turned to Clodette and held out a small bottle, holding a knife with her other hand.

"What are you doing?" Clodette asked her.

She smiled, "I need your blood" She placed the tip of the knife on Clodette's finger and plunged it swiftly. A minuscule droplet of blood quickly appeared. Clodette winced, it did hurt her a little even she could heal very fast.

Annabeth placed a bottle under her finger and pressed it gently until tiny droplets poured in the small bottle and she continued to brew.

Clodette stood up and went beside Annabeth, "What did you need my blood for?"

"Why do you think?" She winked at Clodette.

Ah. Claudius' blood.

"A mixture of wild mugwort, lavender and germanium with droplets of Clodette's blood. This would do the trick!" Annabeth exclaimed, "I learn this from my mother, she did know some moon-eyed people and–Claudius' blood is in your system. His blood was cure to all diseases. He was that powerful but not potent now since it has been mixed with yours however–it might help somehow"

She gave Clodette the bottle and she held it close she was afraid that she might drop it.

"Come on, you have to hurry and give it to Claude. I'll walk you to the dock. No one will dare cause you trouble when you are with me" Annabeth said confidently.

While they were walking along the path, the wind began to blow hard, Anastasia covered her face with her arm to block the raging wind and shouted at them:

"Something's not right!"

Annabeth held her hands up and yelled, "Disperse!" the wind ceased.

"What we expect from Romania's prodigy!" Three eerie voices spoke in unison.

Three women covered in white cloth came in sight. They had straight black hair and were very tall. Clodette couldn't see their faces since it was covered with a long white veil.

"Who are you?" Clodette spoke.

"Lord Marcus sends us to retrieve the moon-eyed boy"

Marcus is too desperate now to even use these witches, Clodette thought.

"You tell Marcus that I have no intention of giving him up!" she shouted at them

"Very well" The second witch lifted her arms and started chanting, she waved her hands and flames came out.

Annabeth ran in front of Clodette and muttered an incantation to counter the attack, an invincible barrier appeared, disintegrating the flames!

"You are in our way" The third witch exclaimed.

"Oh, you will not lay a finger on my friend when I am around witch!" Annabeth yelled back.

"They are witches of Gomorrah" Anastasia whispered

They were the infamous witches of Gomorrah, Clodette heard about them but never actually seen them

The first witch raised her hand and muttered her incantation, a black smoke came out surrounding us.

"Hold your breath" Anastasia exclaimed, "It's the black mist when you inhale it you will suffocate!"

Anastasia kneeled down and drew a magic circle on the ground as soon as she finished, the ground rose up so high that it aligned with the hilltop.

They ran on top of the hill to escape from the enemies, but the second witch had caught up with them. Annabeth stopped and casted an incantation. As she was muttering her spells she held her hands up like holding a bow and arrow, once she released her right hand, several tiny wind knives appeared and sliced the second witch into pieces!

"I thought they were strong" Annabeth smiled.

"Don't be too smug! They're coming!" Annabeth shouted.

As we were running, the two other witches came from Annabeth's side and bound her with a golden rope.

"Argh! Annie–cast the spell!" Annabeth shouted at Anastasia.

"I–I–hold on!" Anastasia rattled as she tried to help her sister. She quickly spoke the incantation however her lips quivered and she mumbled the words.

"Annie what's wrong with you? RELAX!" Annabeth cried out.

"This rope is not easily cut! As you can see it is a rope made from the finest arachnid silk in Transylvania!" The first witch shouted.

"You shall pay for what you did to our sister!" The third witch screamed.

Clodette leaped forward and caught the third witch by her neck and bit her. She screamed in pain! A sudden rush of memories came to her like waterfalls.

Marcus is sitting by the fireplace, the third witch came closer. "We need him, I need his blood. The last remaining moon-eyed warlock"

"What will you do with him, my lord"
Marcus smiles "Once I drink his blood, I will gain an invincible power like my ancestor, Azazel. I can walk under the sun without being burnt"

"Your sister can walk under the sun. Why can't you, my lord?"

Marcus suddenly grabs her neck and lifts her up. His eyes burning with rage. The witch struggles "My lord forgive me" she said breathlessly.

"That's because she has Claudius' blood in her, if I've gotten to him first I could have had it" He hisses.

He throws her on the ground. The witch coughs, Marcus bends over and lifts her chin using his index finger "bring him to me" he orders.

"–and a message for my beloved sister, come back to me and everything will be forgiven" He pauses "I have and will always love you, so come back to me"

Clodette threw the witch's lifeless body on the ground. Upon seeing her dead sister the first witch let out an ear-piercing cry!

She glared at them, "I shall remember this!"

She conjured her dark smoke and disappeared along with it. Anastasia hastened to Annabeth's side and helped her loosened the rope up.

"What's wrong with you Annie? You are not someone to get rattled like that!"

"Sorry–sorry, I was not prepared" Anastasia reasoned out. Annabeth let the matter go and turned to Clodette:

"What did you see Clodette"

Clodette shook my head, "nothing, just some trivial things" as she looked up at the moon.

It was a full moon.
