The Three Important Words
"Still h-here." You responded weakly.
"Oh dear." She kneeled down next to you. "Be good." She snarled at the boy.
"Wh-what are you doing?" You asked she pulled your arms away from your stomach.
"Sewing you up. I have nen threads. You'll feel much better soon."
"W-Why?"
"Why what?" She asked back as she pulled a needle out and threaded it with some nen.
"Why help me?" You asked. "Ah! I'm... Slowing you down."
The needle penetrated the skin on your stomach, but quickly, her single hand began flying through the air, sewing up the flaps of skin that hung off of your abdominal wall.
"Danchou loves you. So we will take care of you." She didn't look you in the eye, instead focusing on her work.
"Ha... Ha..." You laughed lightly, causing your injury to sting. "No... Da-Chrollo just keeps me around for the moment because I'm interesting."
"Danchou loves you." She rolled her eyes, but gave you a tiny smile. She did like your guts, not literally of course, but anyone who could embarrass Chrollo and live to tell the tale was pretty cool in her book.
"Anyways, those kids are incredible. Those kids have..." Pakunoda began speaking again.
"Wait." Nobunaga interrupted her. "Pakunoda. It's for you."
Various people in the hotel were yelling for the lights to be turned back on and you rested your head against the wall. A minute went by with no one talking once again.
"Paku... Paku!" Nobunaga finally spoke up. "From this point on, you don't say anything. Understood? Machi, concentrate on your threads. I'll take your place holding the boy. If he left us a message, it's because he's willing to contact us again. Until then, we take care of our hostages. They're valuable."
"Actually, I'd rather pursue them, but... We can't let the kids go, Hana is hurt, and separating is too risky." Machi spoke up.
"We'll wait for Phinks and the others. Everyone stay on guard. They got in a car and with the traffic jam, we can till catch up with them." Nobunaga's voice drifted off.
More awkward silence as you just centered your breathing. You were never going to be able to see much with your sunglasses on in the dark.
"Paku!" Machi's voice surprised you. "It's useless to try and think. Just remain silent."
You heard a phone being dialed.
"Phinks. Hurry up. They have Danchou. And Hana's hurt. We can't leave her alone... No... She doesn't have nen like us... Looks like she's really hurting... I know, we'll have to tell Danchou as soon as we can... Okay... Fine... Soon."
He hung up his phone and looked over at you.
"Hana. We will protect you. Perhaps you are not a leg, or even a part of a spider, but you're a treasure. We will get back Danchou for you."
"Y-You don't even know me." You groaned.
"Danchou loves you." He repeated what Machi had said. "That is enough for us."
"Why are you treating her like that?" Gon snapped. "You kill so many innocent people! How can you choose to care for her and not for anyone else!"
"Shut up." Shizuku shook him. "No one knows what you're talking about."
