The hip hop hippo

is the hippest cat around

Don't mistake his perfect pucker

for a toothy frown

For in his swagger

and his sway

though you may not hear

the words he'd say

Still your curious

heart austere

cannot allow you

to look away

The beat is a drum

quite unknown

as a laugh rises

in your throat

But you are too

cool for that

You turn your nose

at such a prat

Yet he's a hippo

most free indeed

He lives his life

just as he pleases

but be pulled in
