Mother Versus Child what Irony

Everything was looking gloomy because with a smug and

a silly smile upon its face

Humanity had ascended to the top rung of the ladder

Humanity had climbed the earth's highest mountains

Humanity had dived to the depths of the earth's deepest

oceans

Humanity had launched itself into space and landed on the

moon, the earth's nearest neighbour

Humanity had revelled in its God-like dominion overall

the earth's fellow creatures

Humanity had demanded more of the earth's resources than

was acceptable

Versus

Nature had decided an intervention was required to save mother earth

Nature had known that a frontal assault would cause more harm than good to mother earth

Nature had identified that man's arrogance was its weakness and how it underestimated mother earth's resistance

Nature had devised a cunning plan and called upon mother earth's smallest creatures to join the fight

Nature had given them the power to circulate unnoticed, to infiltrate the human body in mother earth's defence

Nature had won the battle, now humanity needs a ladder, to look mother earth's king of the jungle in the eye

Hip, hip hooray, the sun has got its hat on, and with humanity locked down the flowers are blooming, the birds are singing, and the bees are buzzing
