This year my solution

Is to make no resolution

This year I will not lie

To myself, as the year goes by

I will not promise to de-stress

Life is supposed to be a mess

I will not promise to lose ten pounds

Death by chocolate is as good as it sounds

I will not cut back my cup of Joe

Keep 'em coming, let them flow

I will not promise to exercise more

But will wrestle and play with my boys on the floor

I will not promise to be on time

Instead, I will savor moments and make them mine

January first I will forget all the rest

This year I'll try just doing my best
