Kale let out a satisfied sigh as the cool night's breeze runs through her body as she jump through the rooftop and soon came to a stop and looked down at a particular window where she met her first friend, she let out a sad sigh.

"I knew you'll come back one day"

Said a voice, Kale gasp as she quickly turn around to see a teenage boy standing a couple of feet from her. She knew no human should never see her and she decided to quickly make a run for it but he block her path.

"Kale"

He said simply. Kale frown as she look to him with a slight glare.

"Don't you remember me?"

He asked. Kale raised an eyebrow in confusion before looking closely at his face and gasp.

"Tommy?"

The boy smiled.

"The one and only"

Kale felt her heart soar as she actually sees him after all these years.

"Tommy....about my promise..."

"Kale don't, because of you I'm alive"

"But they tooked you away..."

"You saved me and I want to thank you for that"

He said as he embrace her catching her by surprise as she immediately blush. He then placed a kiss on her cheek causing her to blush more.

"We need to catch up on things"

He said still holding her on the waist. Kale smiled as she nodded. Far in the distance, Donnie saw the interaction with a sad look on his face as he disappeared.

*Few Hours Later*

Kale entered her home with a dreamy smile on her face but soon froze as she saw her father standing in front of her with a frown on his face and his arms crossed over his chest.

"Dad?"

She asked confused.

"You are grounded young lady"

He said sternly before walking away.

"What?!"

"No more video games, no more staying up late and no cell phone starting today"

"Why today? It's already nighttime"

She said with a glare

"Fine then tomorrow"

"I can't, I'm helping Aunt April at the store"

"Fine then the following day"

"No can do dude, I'm teaching her ow to cook"

Mikey said. Donnie slightly frown as he put his arms down.

"The day after?"

"She is going to be meditating with me all day"

Master Splinter answered.

"I'll be training her"

Leo said.

"And I'm showing her how to use some neat strategies"

Raph said.

"Come on you guys help me out here"

Donnie said angrily.

"She's just a busy kid, Don"

Mikey. Donnie shook his head.

"No, I have the final words. You are grounded starting today"

He said sternly.

"What did I even do wrong?"

"I saw you with that boy"

"You were spying on me"

"Yes and it's a good thing I did"

"I'm not your little girl anymore, Dad! I've grown up, why can't you see that I've got my own life now!"

"I know that! You're growing up to fast for me that I just wanted to be part of it"

Donnie said sadly as he walked away and headed straight to his lab. Kale was in shock as she sadly watch her father leave, she then looked to her Uncles and Grandpa.

"Am I growing too fast?"

"Just a bit"

Mikey said.

"Don't try to sugar coat it, listen kid, we understand completely you're growing up and you want to live your own life but you also had to understand your father was always there for you since day one. It's hard for him to see that you don't need him anymore"

Raph said quietly. Kale let out a sad sigh and nodded as she headed to her father's lab. She saw him tinkering with one of his projects.

"Dad..."

"You don't have to say anything"

Donnie said immediately.

"Yes I do"

"No you don't"

"Daddy I'm sorry that I was pushing you away"

Donnie stopped with his tinkering as he listen to her.

"I'm sorry that it seems like I don't need you anymore but the truth is, I will always need you, but you taught me how to fly"

Donnie slowly turn to face her.

"I was just trying to get closer to you. Sweetheart your wings were always ready to fly but my heart wasn't and I don't think I will ever be ready"

Kale sob as she embraced him, Donnie smiled as she buried her face to his plastron.

"You're my daughter, Kale. No matter how big you get...you'll always be my daughter"

He said as he embraced her tightly. After a moment of silence, they pulled away from each other with a smile.

"So tell me, who was that boy?"

He asked with a smirk. Kale immediately blush as she rubbed the back of her head.

"He was the first boy I met and the first person I ever saved"

Donnie slightly frown.

"Tell me about it"

Kale nodded and sat across her Dad and began to tell her story when she rescued him from his Dad and that she had Raphael help.

"When do I get to meet him?"

Kale giggled.

"I don't know, when do you want to meet him?"

"Tomorrow night, if that's okay"

"But you said I'm grounded, I can't text him"

Donnie smiled sheepishly.

"Sorry about that, I just grounded you because I was angry. You are officially ungrounded"

He said with a smile causing Kale to laugh as she ran out of the lab before giving him a kiss on the cheek. Donnie let out a sigh as he headed out to the living room to see Raph sitting on the couch reading a magazine.

"Well Kale looked happy"

Raph said with a grin. Donnie grin back.

"Yeah she is, listen Raph..."

"She told you, didn't she?"

"Yes and because of that I want to thank you, I mean you could have told me"

"But she would have been scared to tell you because you told her not to make contact with humans"

"In any case, thank you for being there"

"No problem bro. Why bring this up now?"

He asked curiously. Donnie smirk.

"The kid found her again, apparently he been waiting for her to return for he can properly thank Kale"

"Pff, teenagers"

He said causing Donnie to laugh.
