Eliza woke up on Alex's shoulder, and she immediately bolted upright, which started Alex.

"Wh-WHA-AUUGGHHH!!!!" he screamed and stuttered. And Eliza screamed right after him, also started but now by his screams.

"Whoo! Ok. That was...interesting?" Alex started

"Nope. That was pure HALARIOUS!" Eliza argued, laughing. But then she got serious.

"Wow, I can't believe you actually stayed! I'm sorry I fell asleep on you.." Eliza said.

"No! It's fine, Eliza. I was glad to. As long as your ok" Alex responded, making Eliza blush. She started to get up, but felt a wave of nausea flow over her, and ran to the bathroom. Alex ran after her and went behind her. He held her hair back and rubbed her back.

"Thanks Alex. Again." she said weakly

"Eliza, I feel like this nausea isn't a good thing. Are you sure your not sick?" Alex protectively asked.

"Yeah, Alex, I checked. I'm fine" Eliza sternly but still weakly responded.

"Sure... I can't promise I won't worry though, just a warning" Alex said, and walked away to find Pippa. 5 minutes later he came back with Pippa fully dressed.

"So... I was thinking, maybe we can all go to breakfast? I'll pay, and we should really spend time together!" Alex said, and Pippa squealed.

"Alex, I can't ask you to pay-" Eliza started, but Alex cut her off. "Your not asking. I'm doing, no matter what you say."

"Uggggghhh. Fine. But don't get used to this, Pippa" Eliza said

"Okie!" Pippa happily replied, and grabbed her parents' hands and dragged them out of the door.

10 minutes later and they ended up at the second nearest diner. They were not going to go to Diggs' Diner just yet.

"Mommy, can I get a pretty pancake with the strawberry and whipped cream?!" Pippa asked

"This is gonna give her a sugar rush. How much-" "yes, Pippa you can get it" Alex interrupted Eliza. 

"Excuse me, but she asked me" Eliza sassily said. "Oh I know" Alex replied. "I knew you were gonna say yes, as long as it's cheap. And you are not worrying about that". Eliza was about to repond when the waitress came over.

"What would you like today?" she asked.

"I WANT THE PRETTY PANCAKES PWEASE!!!" Pippa exclaimed

"Ok Pippa! You must be excited! Um, I'll have the short stack with bacon and eggs" Alex said. 

"And you?" the waitressed asked Eliza

"Oh! Um, I'll just have water, thank you" Eliza politely said. 

"No! She'll have the same thing I'm having!" Alex said to the waitress as she walked off.

"Alexander!" Eliza screeched. "I'm not going to eat it!"

"Eliza, it's not healthy that you don't eat. And I want you and Pippa to be happy and healthy. Just eat some, ok? When was the last time you ate?" Alex said/asked.

"Fine. And, I, uh... the last time I ate was... Monday?" she said, trying to remember.

"What?! Eliza, its Wednesday! You need to eat!" Alex protested

"I'm fine! I'm used to not eating as much as I used to!" she argued.

"Ok. This is personal stuff, I know. But I just want you to eat to stay healthy. That's all. Ok?" Alex calmly replied to her outburst.

"Fine" Eliza muttered

10 minutes later the food came. Eliza was overwhelmed with all the food. She hadn't had this much food since her parents kicked her out after she revealed she was pregnant with Pip. The whole breakfast she tried to eat. She managed to get a bite or two of the pancake before she had to run to the bathroom. When she came back out, there was a small plate and a small amount of food on it. 

"what's that for?" Eliza asked

"For you. I may have overwhelmed you with all that food, and I'm sorry. If you can, can you possibly eat this little bit?" Alex asked

"I-I'll try.." Eliza started.

"Ok. No rush" Alex said reassuringly.

Another 10 minutes went by, and Eliza finished a quarter of the food on her tiny plate. Alex paid and they left for Eliza's apartment, where she had to get ready for work.

"Hey Alex?" Eliza asked as she emerged from her 'bedroom' in her work clothes

"Yeah?" Alex answered.

"Thanks. You know. For trying to help me." Eliza said

"Your welcome. But I wont stop trying!" he replied, making Eliza half laugh and half sigh.

"You might as well try for eternity" she said, and grabbed her jacket.

"Will do!" he said, and gave her a hug. "I'll drop Pippa off at day care for you. You go to work. Good luck." he said, and walked the other direction. 

Eliza laughed. "I'll need it!" she called back, and started to walk to Diggs' Diner. 

Who knew what would happen there?
