"What?!"

"Yes, you heard me!" Mr. Diggs yelled

"Wh-how... why? Who?"

"Ugh, you idiotic girl. I'll explain. You know the day, about what? Two months ago already? Well, that day when your daughter was stolen-"

"How do you know about that?!" Alex gritted through his teeth.

"You didn't let me finish. When your daughter was stolen, along with the other children, their kidnappers gave me a deal. They wanted me to kill off the parents of those children, or at least one of them. Knowing you, Elizabeth, I knew you'd be an easy target" he explained

Alex and Eliza froze. Diggs is somehow involved in... this?!

Then Eliza became mad. She pushed herself out of Alex's arms, trying to stand. She stumbled, and fell on the concrete. She tried to pick herself up, but struggled because of her injuries. Alex went to go help her, but was shocked when she started screaming.

"You did this to her! You... you monster! Give me my daughter back! Please! I just want my daughter! Give me her back NOW!" Eliza screamed at the top of her lungs.

"Woah, sorry princess, but no can do. I'm in charge of the parents, not the children" Diggs said with a smirk on his face

"Don't. Call. Me. That" Eliza gritted out, the signature Schuyler death wish face shown on her own face

Alex noticed she was pushing herself up more frequently, and he noticed her getting weaker. He then panicked when he saw a small pool of blood surrounding her waist.

"Eliza. We need to get you out of here. Now" Alex said, and bent down to her level

"N-no! I'm not l-leaving! Ph-Phillipa..." Eliza said with all her strength. "I'm f-fine. Nothing h-hurts that bad-d" she stuttered

She felt bad lying. What she said was a complete lie. She felt like she was going to pass out. Her world of spinning, her head pounding, her side stinging.

"No, Eliza I can tell your lying. Please" Alex said, and tried to pick her up. She pushed herself out of the way and slammed her side. She let out a scream, which gave Alex another reason to take her away.

"Eliza. I don't want to be rude or controlling, but we're going. Now. And you have no choice" he said, and managed to pick up a squirming Eliza.

"No! Alexander put me... d-down... p-please..." Eliza said, first sounding strong, ending weak and quiet.

Alex felt terrible. She was suffering, and he couldn't help her. She wouldn't let him. Inside and out.

"Oh you poor, poor princess. Go home and sleep baby, maybe you'll feel a bit better!" Diggs mocked as Alex carried a nearly limp Eliza to his car.

"Oh! And one more thing!" Diggs called. Alex walked over. Mr. Diggs grabbed the collar of his shirt and lifted him up to his face

"You tell nobody about this, or me. You hear me boy? Or that will be the end of your girlfriend over there, and your daughter not far behind. Get it?" he asked in a harsh, cold voice.

"Yes. DOn't you touch another hair on their heads, or mine" Alex said, and put his hand out.

"Deal"

Alex walked back to his car and made sure Eliza was ok.

"Liza?" he asked cautiously

"Lexi... I don't feel good..." she muttered

"Shhhhh... it's ok. I promise you'll get better, ok? He won't hurt us again" Alex whispered, cradling her.

"I j-just want Pippa..." Eliza whispered, and passed out.

Alex sighed and layed her down in the back seat

"What should I do Mom? " Alex thought as he drove to their apartment

"What would Mom do? " he thought again

Soon enough he got Eliza into bed. He grabbed a beer and took a swig of it. 

"What the heck do I do... "
