"What?! " Alex exclaimed

"I'm sorry, sir" the doctor repeated 

"What... how...which one?" Alex stuttered

"Um... we don't specifically know...that's why we diagnosed it as EDNOS. You would have to ask Elizabeth" the doctor said nervously

Alex turned to Eliza to see her with a frightened and worried look, tear drops falling on her face. She was holding Pippa, and Pippa looked just as scared, but had no idea what was happening.

"E-Eliza? What happened?"

"I- I don't know... I don't want to talk about it yet. I just want to go home" she answered quietly.

"O-ok... Doctor? Can we?" Alex asked the doctor

"Of course. Here is your prescription. You can go now. I'm sorry" she said, and walked off.

They walked to the car, Alex holding Pippa with one hand, and had his other around Eliza, who was frozen.

Soon they were home, and they got Pippa to sleep soon after. That's when Alex decided to ask.

"Eliza... what happened?"

"I- Alex, I'm sorry!" she exclaimed, jumping into his arms and crying.

"Oh Eliza... this isn't your fault" he soothed

"B-but it is. I, I try, but I c-can't!" she sobbed

"Can't do what?" Alex questioned, confused

"I- I try to eat, but I can't! Whenever I try, I have to t-throw it up!" she choked

"Liz, its ok. Do you know why?" Alex asked, rubbing her back softly

"Well... I-I think..." she started

"Eliza, it's ok. Let it out"

"Ever since I was on my own, I started to eat less, to save money. Then when Pippa could eat normal food, I ate even less, so she could have more. Most nights I just didn't eat, so she could have some food at least. When you came back, and kept giving us food and money and things I couldn't get much of, and I-I just felt terrible. I mean, I have been trying to provide for Pip her entire life! Then you came, and gave her everything I couldn't, times two. I didn't want to waste your money, plus I didn't want to use it, so I ate less. Soon, I was just used to it, and whenever I tried to eat, I just couldn't, and can't, tolerate it. I was just so used to it!" Eliza explained

"Oh Eliza... I caused this?" Alex said shamefully

"N-no! You just... nevermind. Its not your fault. I love you Alexander, and you did not do this to me. Ok?" Eliza said, putting her arms on his shoulders, giving him a shake.

"O-ok. Just remember this. I promise I will never hurt you, or leave you. I love you too, so, so much" Alex said, putting his forehead against hers.

"And I love you so, so much too" Eliza whispered, and leaned in as Alex was starting to do the same.

And they shared a sweet, gentle kiss. They broke apart and smiled at eachother.

That's when they realized that when Alex left 5 years ago, that wasn't the end.

That was the end that led to their new beginning.
