                TRUE HAPPINESS IS SOMETHING most beings in the galaxy get the privilege of feeling. Happiness can come in many different forms, whether it be your family, friends, pets, or simply the lifestyle you've chosen for yourself. However, true happiness seemed to rarely come to Angelina Wilson. It seemed to fly away whenever she was near it—her fingers constantly brushing against it before watching it fly into the moonlight.

That was shown throughout her childhood when Angelina was constantly compared to other members of her family who seemed to be doing everything right. They'd get the right grades; Angelina wouldn't. They'd get the right jobs; Angelina wouldn't. They'd even take the garbage out a certain way, but Angelina couldn't do that right. She didn't know whether it was because she saw the world in a different light compared to her parents or she was just a downright disappointment. Ever since she studied World War II in History in grade 8, Angelina knew the world was corrupt. Growing up, she looked up to Captain America and the Howling Commandos for what they did with taking HYDRA down, and Angelina wanted to make a change just like they did. So she applied to be an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. as soon as she graduated from school, and after months of training, she became an agent. Finally, Angelina was happy knowing she was making a difference.

Then, the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D. happened in 2014, and the world discovered that S.H.I.E.L.D. was secretly run by HYDRA, who had, all along, been shaping the world into their image. Angelina was once again a disappointment, not only in her parent's eyes for not figuring out HYDRA was running S.H.I.E.L.D. but also in the world's eyes. But that didn't stop her, so Angelina became an undercover agent for the CIA, and she found happiness knowing that she was doing the right thing this time.

And so Angelina was finally making a difference again. She found happiness in saving people, taking out bad guys, the whole superhero gig minus being a superhero. Things were genuinely going well for Angelina, and she finally seemed to find true happiness until a mission went sideways. Angelina was back where she had started: sad, tired, and alone—an overall disappointment. Years later, a former Avenger arrives on her doorstep looking for help, and Angelina meets a man with a vibranium arm who, in a way, shares the same life experiences as her.

Welcome to my long-awaited Bucky Barnes book! I've wanted to write for my first celebrity crush for fucking YEARS now but just couldn't come up with a decent OC and storyline until TFATWS came out.
I just wanted to let you all know that this book contains major spoilers for my Captain America/Steve Rogers books. Like major major spoilers.
