"Where have been all day Jack", his mom screamed at him. Jack was standing silently by the corner of the house.His mother went furious when she saw Jack silent and kept on screaming,shouting and scolding him for the next half an hour.After the long lecture his mom finally sent him to his room to change and study for the rest of the evening..........

Now, Jack was not a bad student and not that,"I don't care" type of a boy but he was just like normal teenager with normal feelings . The stuffiness of the room and the constant nagging by his mother used to drive him crazy and so ,sometimes he went for a ride in his bicycle in the open air .Today also being tired due to the unrest in his house he went on a long ride in his bicycle . But he lost track of time and remained away for a long time......Who would know that later he would be grounded from going out anymore ,forever.....

Yes,he was grounded by his mom forever from  taking his bicycle out for a ride. To make matters worse, his mom confiscated his bicycle and kept in the storeroom...

Jack heavy heartedly went to his room, and shut the door behind him....To make matters further worse, he opened his syllabus booklet only to find a history test the next day!!! It would not have caused much damage if he was through his course, but now he felt tensed because he had two more chapters to prepare and it was already 8:00pm. He was already tired from the ride and now he felt completely helpless....

Anyways he had to complete his course and it took him till 2:00am in the morning to finish the course. By that time he was completely exhausted. But Jack thought that, was there any need for his mother to scold him . He simply went on a ride,that's it ....He did nothing wrong. This thought kept disturbing him continuously as he tried to sleep.Then suddenly he got up  and left his bedroom. Without waking anyone ,  quietly he walked out of the main gate and ran to the storeroom. Quickly he took out his bicycle from the corner. "Thank god it's not broken ",he said to himself. No sooner he found himself in the open, riding his bike.  He himself failed to understand how he made it. He rode his bicycle to his favourite spot , by river Thames. 

The river looked magnificent in the moonlight . Jack could feel the fresh breeze on his face. He felt that perhaps it was the happiest moment in his life. For a moment he forgot about his mother , the scoldings he will receive ,his history test, tough syllabus, dates of the world wars and every other thing his mind . He felt refreshed and energized. Suddenly he shouted with his arms wide open."I am free .I am finally free from the  monotony of life."

After enjoying the ambience of the place for a while he slowly rode his bicycle back home,back to the real world,back to his monotonous life style.........
