HELLBØUND - The "Legend" Part 3 // S1 Episode 9

As Blitzø and the others held him down, Stolas lowered down to the ground and approached V/N.

Stolas: To think a noble soul like yours could be corrupted... I believed you would be the chosen one to bring balance, but... I guess it was just a false hope.

He summons a red blade and holds it over the back of his neck.

Blitzø: What? Stolas!

Moxxie: No, he wouldn't!

Stolas: Sorry, but it has to be done.

Blitzø: No!

He pulls out his flintlock and aims it at Stolas. He shoots beside him making him lose the blade.

Stolas: Blitzø!

Blitzø got up and held his arms out.

Blitzø: I won't let you kill him. Sorry, Stolas, but I can't.

Stolas: Blitzø...

V/N's eyes glew and he smirked as he smacked Moxxie and Millie away. He then and suddenly, V/N pierced his blade through Blitzø, causing the environment to be photo-negative. The imps stared in shock and horror as well as Stolas.

Everyone: BLITZØ!!!

The F/C blade disappeared and as Blitzø collapsed, V/N stood up and laughed maniacally.

V/N: What a fucking idiot! I can't believe he would try to save me. Had he not done what he did, I would've spared him, but what's done is done. *shrugs* Hehehehe. If you all had any sense, you'd all understand that your death is a mercy for you and this world. You should be thankful.

Moxxie: ... You... KILLED HIM!!!

Millie: YOU MONSTER!!!

They charged at V/N, but V/N vanished and appeared in the air. He holds his hand up, releasing a power ball.

V/N: Are you all finished? Considering you represent your lot, this is a pathetic showing from you all. ... Good riddance, scum.

Stolas quickly summoned a portal and as soon as V/N launched the power ball at the warehouse, they disappeared through it, but the warehouse was destroyed. V/N landed on the ground.

V/N: The filth still persists... At the last second, Stolas summoned a portal and they all returned to Hell. ... No matter. They'll be back. I know it. And that imp won't last long. *chuckles* Did they think they could save me and bring me back to the weakling I was before? Never again.

He walks away into the flames and the flames engulfed his silhouette. Meanwhile, the portal opened back to Stolas's mansion and Moxxie and Millie carried Blitzø inside.

Stolas: Get him on the couch! Hurry!

They got him to the couch as Blitzø was coughing up blood. Moxxie looked at the damage.

Moxxie: Fuck! He got him where it hurts.

Millie: No... No, no, no, Blitzø, come on! Hang in there!

Stolas arrived with the grimoire in his hands and flipped the pages to find a healing spell.

Stolas: How is he?

Moxxie: Umm... The cut is very deep, but the good news is that he missed his vital organs. He'll be alright for a little bit.

Stolas: Good. Nothing I can't heal up.

He found the page and read through it, but as he did, they heard the door open and turned to see Loona walk in. However, when she looked up, her eyes widened and she dropped her phone.

Loona: DAD!!!

She ran to him.

Loona: What the fuck happened to him?!

Moxxie: V/N... Stolas tried to kill him, but Blitzø tried to stop him, only for V/N to make the killing blow.

Loona: *gasps*

Moxxie: He'll be alright, Loona. He didn't get his vital organs, so he'll live if our Majesty can heal him up.

Loona sighed in relief to know he'll be alright, but the thought of V/N trying to kill Blitzø haunted her.

Loona: Y/N...

Millie: Loona... I'm sorry, but that bastard's too far gone. There's no forgiving him after the stunt he fucking pulled.

Stolas got started with the healing spell and a green light was wrapped around Blitzø.

Stolas: The process will take a while, but he'll be alright.

As the others talked, Loona walked away, scared for Blitzø's safety.

Moxxie: V/N knows about us and he'll definitely try to make his way to Hell.

Millie: Impossible! V/N may be powerful and a fast learner, but there's no way he'll be able to open a portal to here.

Moxxie: Well, if he does, it's not safe to be here. We need to find another place to hide so that we can plan our next move.

Millie: And where can we go?

Loona: ... Y/N's place...

Moxxie: Huh?

Loona: Before V/N came along, Y/N told me the truth that he was staying at the Happy Hotel.

Moxxie: He's been staying with Charlie?

Millie: I mean... It makes sense, but why didn't he tell us?

Loona: Because he was scared. Scared that we would reject him because he supports Charlie's ideals.

Millie: ...

Moxxie: ... So... Is that our next move?

Stolas: ... Most likely.

Moxxie: *exhales nervously* Charlie's not gonna like this...

Meanwhile, at the Happy Hotel, Charlie looked up at the clock and at the door.

Charlie: ...

Vaggie: Still wondering where Y/N is?

Charlie: It doesn't make sense. He should be back, by now.

Vaggie: ... Well, maybe he's staying overnight because he's got work to do?

Charlie: He would've texted me about that.

Vaggie: ...

Alastor: Chin up, my favorite widows. Our human will be back before we know it.

Vaggie: "Widows"?

Alastor: You both seem very concerned about Y/N's well-being, so it's very clear you like him.

Charlie: Ha, ha. Very funny, Al.

They then heard the door knocking.

Alastor: See?

Charlie opened the door.

Charlie: Y/N?

However, she saw Stolas.

Stolas: Greetings, your Highness.

Charlie: ... Prince Stolas?

Moxxie: *nervously* A-And us, your majesty.

Charlie looked behind Stolas and saw Moxxie, Millie, Blitzø, and Loona, but when she saw Loona, her eyes widened.

Charlie: Wait... I know you guys.

Moxxie: You do?

Charlie: Yeah, Y/N told us about you guys. Which means... *looks at Loona* You're Loona, aren't you?

Loona: *eyes widen* U-Umm... Yeah.

Charlie: Hah! About damn time! I've been looking forward to meeting you guys. I'll admit, I wasn't expecting Stolas, but the more the merrier. Hm?

She noticed their expressions.

Charlie: Is there something wrong?

Loona: ... You might wanna sit down.

After a while...

Charlie: Y/N's WHAT?!

Blitzø: We know how it sounds, but it's the truth. Y/N isn't the same, anymore.

Vaggie: And you thought it would be okay to come here to hide from him?

Moxxie: We needed a place to strategize our next move! If anything, this was Loona's idea!

Loona: Look, Y/N lives here and he told me that he was, so we wanted to come here. I only wish it were on different terms...

Charlie: ... *sighs* So, what now?

Moxxie: We need to strategize. Our last plan of attack nearly got the boss killed. V/N is... dangerous and aware. If we step into the same realm as he is in, he'll sense us.

As the others talked about their next move, Loona stood away from the crowd, replaying many flashbacks of her and Y/N.

Loona: ... Finally... We finally got together... I know that it's been a brief moment since we've met, but the love I feel towards is just... unbearable to hold back... So, why...? Why do I still love him, even with all of the terrible things he's done? ... *eyes widen* Because this isn't Y/N, at all. He's in there somewhere. I know it!

She then notices the grimoire as if she felt like she was given a chance. She turned to the crowd and back at the grimoire as she clenched her fists.

Moxxie: If V/N gets to Hell, Satan will know and he'll be on his way to deal with him and when they're done, Satan will not only kill V/N, but Y/N, as well. That's why we need to do this behind the scenes while he's still up there.

Charlie: ... So, what's the plan?

Millie: Well...

She then turned around and gasped.

Millie: Uhh... Guys? Where's Loona?

They looked around and couldn't find Loona anywhere.

Stolas: The grimoire! She's taken it!

Vaggie: *eye widens* Oh no... Y-You don't think she...?

Moxxie: That bitch! What the fuck is she thinking?! She can't handle V/N by herself!

Charlie: There's no time to waste, then. You have to get going, now!

Millie: And how are we going to find her and V/N? He's probably cleared out of that city.

With Loona, she arrived at a citadel and entered. She looked around for a brief moment.

Loona: V/N! Get out here, you coward! You don't scare me, so let's settle this!

???: As you wish.

She looked up and saw V/N lower to the ground slowly.

V/N: Well, if it isn't Blitzø's little mutt. Come to avenge your father, eh? Rather than save him?

Loona: He's still alive, ya cunt.

V/N: *eyes widen* Wait, what?

Loona: Turns out you missed his vital organs and he's able to make a full recovery.

V/N: *growls* You fucking cockroaches! You never die so easily!

Loona: ...

V/N: ... Well, allow me to fix that for you. If I can't kill Blitzø, then I can most definitely break his heart by killing you!

Loona: You wouldn't.

V/N: What?

Loona: ... I know it's you, V/N, but Y/N is in there somewhere. ... And I'm confident that he wouldn't want to hurt me. And if you're him, then you wouldn't want to either.

V/N: And what makes you say that?

Loona: Because you're one and the same. You're an imperfect version of Y/N's alter ego. Whatever Y/N is, you're the exact opposite, but even if that's true, you still love me. I know you do.

V/N: Tch. Bitch.

He aims his finger at Loona and shoots a beam from it. Loona braced for impact, only to feel a force blow past her.

V/N: What?!

Loona: *panting*

He continued to shoot at Loona, but every time, he just missed her.

V/N: What's going on? You should be dead, by now.

Loona: Huh... I guess my bluff actually worked. I wasn't sure if that would work, but... Guess it did.

V/N: Rrgh, fine! I'll just kill you with my bare hands!

He summons a F/C aura and destroyed the building around them. Loona looked around and readied herself.

Loona: Do you have any idea what you're doing, V/N? You almost killed Blitzø!

V/N (Demon): You're in the way, Loona!

He leaps at Loona and tries to attack her, but Loona jumps out of the way.

V/N (Demon): *amplified* ALWAYS IN THE WAY! *normal* Argh! I could've fixed everything if it weren't for you and your worthless father!

He tried to attack Loona, again, but Loona dodged his attacks.

Loona: How, Y/N? By killing these people and calling yourself a king? That's not what a hero does.

V/N (Demon): Stop calling me that! It's V/N!

Loona: No! You're Y/N L/N, a young man who's been through hardships for years since you were a baby! You lost your parents in a way that no one knows, for sure, but deep down, you believe that they died, trying to protect you. You're the Demonic Hero!

V/N (Demon): Shut up! I'm not listening to you!

Loona: *catches V/N's fist* You're stronger than this, N/N. I'm sorry for what happened to you, but it doesn't give you the right to become something worse. You lost control, but you can regain it!

V/N (Demon): *growls angrily*

Loona: Just listen!

She headbutts V/N, making him walk backwards. He recovered to see Loona charge at him, but V/N summoned F/C magic and trapped Loona, slamming her to the floor.

V/N (Demon): I need this power! It makes me a better king! *eyes widen* ... You just want it for yourself!

He then lifts Loona off the ground and slams her again. Loona tried to reach for his face, but V/N held her hand.

Loona: That's... not... true! I just... want to save you.

V/N (Demon): I'M the hero. I don't get saved!

Loona: Even... heroes... need the best kind of help!

She breaks free from the magic and kicks V/N in the face. She then punched him and knees his chest before kicking him back.

V/N (Demon): Why...? Why, why, WHY?! Why the fuck are you doing this?! You're nothing... but a stupid mutt compared to an almighty God!

Loona: I know you don't mean that! Why are you doing this, N/N? This isn't like you.

V/N (Demon): All I wanted to do was to save everyone! That's why I wanted to become king, so that I could lead these pathetic creatures and save them from enslavement and dominance! Now, the city thinks that I'M the problem!

He stands up.

V/N (Demon): *amplified* YOU THINK I'M THE PROBLEM. *normal* But, I'm not, anymore!

He looks up at Loona as his eyes glew.

V/N (Demon): *amplified* I'M THE SOLUTION!

Loona: *thinking* His voice... Something's wrong... It's vibrating so much. And what he said... It's almost as if... *eyes widen, normal* Y/N, we don't think you're a problem. I love you because of the fact that you see me as someone else and not so that you can fuck me. You're a good person, one of the greatest human beings we've ever met. What those people did to you was the last thing you deserved.

V/N (Demon): *growls*

Loona: I'm sorry for not being there for you when you needed me, but it's okay. I'm here, now. You don't have to be afraid.

V/N (Demon): I'm not... afraid!

Loona: Yes, you are. You're afraid of getting hurt. It's alright. I understand how that feels.

V/N (Demon): Shut up! Just shut up! SHUT THE FUCK UP!

He fires a F/C energy beam at Loona, but she used her own magic to shield her hands as she rode the beam and flipped over to V/N, making him stare up in shock. Loona slammed him to the ground and held him down.

V/N (Demon): I can't let this go. I'm finally everything that everyone needs me to be.

Loona: Look at what's going on around you, N/N! Is this what they need? A destructive king that's falling apart because they're hurting?

V/N (Demon): Yes! If it's to help them learn their place and understand that I'm trying to help them, it's the only way THEY'LL LISTEN!

He tried to punch Loona's face, but Loona grabbed his fist and holds it down.

Loona: And what about Blitzø, huh? You could've killed him! I know why you're doing this, N/N. You're hurting because you feel betrayed, but it's not like that! You're better than this. And you know we would never hurt you, right?

V/N's eyes were slowly turning to normal.

Y/N: I know... I know that I am, but I... I can't...

Loona: Yes, you can! I'm not losing you, N/N. *starts crying* I can't lose you! Not after everything we've been through, together. You're the only person I love that treats me as an equal. Please, Y/N. Come back!

Y/N: *eyes widen* No...

V/N (Demon): NO!!!

He explodes a F/C shock wave, blowing Loona off of him as she collapsed onto the ground. V/N roared and summoned his blade as he charged at Loona and got her shoulder, making her bleed a little.

Loona: *cries out in pain*

V/N (Demon): *panting heavily* ... I refuse to go back to the way I was. The weakling, the loser, the nobody! If no one wants to listen to me as Y/N, they can't ignore V/N, the King of the Earth!

Loona: *holds shoulder* No... You're not some king, Y/N. You're the Demonic Hero, the chosen one. You're given this power because you were chosen to bring balance. But, this isn't how you'll be able to do it.

She pushes V/N away as she holds her shoulder.

Loona: When I was at the orphanage, I was always alone. I only felt betrayed, sad, and angry. I never trusted anyone in my life. But, Blitzø came and adopted me. He saved me. Just like how I'm gonna save you. ... We gotta be stronger than who we are, now. This time, you have to save yourself. Just like I did because of you.

V/N & Y/N: ... I... can't...!

Loona: Yes, you can. And you will. You're stronger than this, N/N. Besides, you're the one who told me that being human isn't about physical strength! It's about your heart and soul!

V/N's eyes widened upon hearing that. Soon, a flashback began to occur in his head, recalling Y/N saying the same thing.

Loona: That's it, Y/N... Remember who you are. And it's gonna be okay. You'll be okay. I promise.

???: Stop!

V/N turns around to see Stolas and the others.

Blitzø: Loonie!

V/N (Demon): *eyes widen* Back for more, yet again?!

Loona: No, no, guys! Wait!

He throws Loona aside and charges at the others.

Loona: No!

She quickly got up and ran to the others. V/N went after Stolas to kill him as his blade appeared, but when he thrusted it ahead of him, he felt it make contact with someone, but the way his victim coughed up blood wasn't what he wanted to hear. He looks up and to his shock, Loona was in the way and the blade was thrusted deep in her stomach.

Blitzø: LOONA!!!

V/N stared at Loona as the blade was in her. V/N started to tremble.

V/N: N-No... Why...? Fucking why?! Why did you do that?!

Loona: *weakly* ... B-Because... I-I... I love you... And... I always... will...

Loona collapses onto the ground and V/N stared in horror as everyone rushed to her and Stolas tried to heal her.

V/N: N-No... What have I done...?

He continued to stare at Loona's body as a single tear started to fall down her face. V/N couldn't bring himself to move as he was frozen in horror.

V/N: L-Loona...

He then starts crying as he clenched his fists and growled. Suddenly, he was enveloped by a F/C aura and he screamed out.

V/N: No! No! No! No! NO! I won't... I won't let you...!

He screams out in pain as something was happening.

Blitzø: Wh-What? What's happening to him?

Stolas: I-I wish I knew...

V/N continued to scream as he then exploded a F/C shock wave, causing smoke to fill the room. When the dust settled, V/N fell to the ground and panted heavily.

V/N: D-Damnit...

However, when he looked up, he gasped as he noticed another human silhouette standing in front of him. Everyone saw this.

Moxxie: S-Sir... That shadow... Doesn't it...?

Blitzø: ... *eyes widen* Wait... It can't be...

The dust settled a little and the human silhouette came into view as the human lifted his head, revealing none other than...

Everyone: Y/N?!

At cue, Y/N opened his eyes as they flashed demonically and he glared heavily.

V/N: I-It... It can't be... B-But, how?

Y/N (Demon): ... V/N... You'll pay... You'll fucking pay for what you did... TO MY LOONA!!!

He erupted into a fiery rage and his own F/C aura surrounded him.

V/N: *stands up* But, how... How could this be happening? We're... the same person... You shouldn't be able to stand before me. This is YOUR body!

Y/N (Demon): You're right. We are. And that is my body, but because of the rage I felt towards you killing my girlfriend and my boss, your subconscious hold on me started to weaken. How else did you purposely miss Loona?

V/N: *eyes widen* Wait... So, it was you? But, that's impossible!

Y/N (Demon): Nothing... is impossible. Because I'm the Demonic Hero. And I will be the one who defeats you!

V/N: *growls angrily & clenches fists* No...!

Y/N (Demon): This is it, V/N. For all the people that have suffered because of you... You'll answer for every one of your victims! Including me!

Blitzø: Y/N?

Y/N turned to the others as V/N stood up.

Y/N (Demon): Sorry for getting you all wrapped up into this. This is my fault and I'll make it right. Somehow. And Blitzø? I'm sorry for almost killing you. And... Thank you for saving me.

Blitzø: ... *smiles softly* Hey, you would've done the same for all of us. Now, go. Loonie will be fine. She just needs a healing spell.

Y/N (Demon): *smiles* If that's the truth, then I can give it my all. Stolas? Keep the others safe.

Stolas: *nods*

Y/N (Demon): And Loona? ... Thanks for not giving up on me. I'll make this right.

Loona tried to sit up to see Y/N.

Loona: *weakly* Y-Y/N...?

Y/N walks ahead and clenched his fists.

Y/N (Demon): Alright, V/N. You have a lot to answer for. And I will be your judge, jury... *cracks knuckles* And executioner.

V/N (Demon): Stupid human! You may have a fraction of my power, but you won't get very far. All I wanted is to be in charge of the human race and save them from themselves. Besides, who would you be without me, Y/N?

Y/N (Demon): Time to find out.

Y/N's eyes flashed demonically and they both charged at one another.
