HELLBØUND - The "Legend" Part 2 // S1 Episode 8

Before the two agents could do anything, a wall was busted open and smoke filled the room. Everyone coughed.

Blitzø: What the fuck was that?

Through the smoke, a humanoid silhouette could be seen through it and as the dust settled, Y/N was seen with his hair over his eyes.

Blitzø: Y/N! Thank Satan you're alright! Listen, we need your help in getting us out of here, but first, we need to deal with these guys! What do ya say?

Y/N: ...

Blitzø: Y-Y/N? You good, pal?

Y/N's still movements was worrying Blitzø and the others. Not even a whisper could be heard from him nor a small feint of breathing.

Loona: *worried* N-N/N? Honey, you okay?

Y/N? (Demon): ... *raises head up, amplified* I'm done saving you...

The others flinched at the sound of his voice and his aura felt malicious.

Millie: Y/N?

Y/N? (Demon): It's about time, worthless demons. You've been running around, making messes for too long, and now, I'm gonna choke the life from all of you. *smirks evilly* I can't wait to watch you all die.

Blitzø: *chuckles nervously* Okay, N/N, this prank is going a little bit too far. You can dial it down a little.

Y/N? (Demon): Hehehehe...

Blitzø: N/N, I'm being serious. This isn't funny.

Y/N? (Demon): Oh, trust me, it is. Seeing your confusion on display is truly laughable. *laughs*

Moxxie: Sir, what's going on?

Blitzø: I don't know, but I don't like where this is going.

Y/N? (Demon): Why so serious, my friends? Relax. There's no need to be worried. If you had any sense, you would understand that your death is a mercy for you and this world.

Millie: You're not making any sense, Y/N! What are you talking about?

Loona: *worried* ...

Y/N? (Demon): Don't you play dumb with me. I know well enough that you feckless creatures have the ability to travel to the mortal realm, a tool that's only supposed to be used for the higher-ups. You? You're the lowest of the low. As for this hellhound? You roped her into your little crusade.

Loona: "This hellhound"? Y/N, don't you remember me?

Y/N? (Demon): I recall that you wield magic. ... But what I don't understand is why. Why would you think it's okay to just come here and expose yourselves to these worthless and... pitiful mortals? They aren't supposed to know about the afterlife. They lack the very comprehension to grip to the truth.

Agent Two: Okay, this didn't go as planned.

Agent One: I knew that this traitor was one of them, but I wasn't planning on exposing his true nature like this. It's like he's a different person.

Blitzø: That goes without saying.

Loona: Y/N, please... It's us. You know us. And me. Loona?

Y/N? (Demon): Y/N... Such a goody-goody bastard... Always doing right by others, never caring about himself... Well, no more. It's time I took matters into my own hands. *turns to agents* You pathetic humans want the truth that badly, huh? Here's your truth.

Suddenly, he vanished and appeared in front of one of them and grabbed Agent Two's neck.

Agent One: Two!

Y/N? used his energy to blow Agent One away.

Y/N? (Demon): You humans are the scum of this planet. Always the dominant species. How did that come to be, I wonder? Was it your selfishness or stupidity? Either way, you've destroyed the Earth countless times because of your unsatisfied desire for more. Because of your insolent, arrogant, and thanklessness, you've doomed yourselves and this world. ... But, I think it's time for a different change in leadership. First things first, to show you that I mean business...

Suddenly, when Y/N? stretched his right arm out, a F/C blade was seen.

Moxxie: How did he-

Millie: Is he gonna...?

Y/N? aims the blade against the agent and goes in for the killing blow.

???: No!

His hand was stopped by Loona and he looked at her.

Loona: Just stop, Y/N! I get it that you're pissed off at these guys for kidnapping Blitzø and Moxxie. And that they tortured you, but if you do this, you'd be no better than them!

Y/N? (Demon): One, my name is no longer Y/N, so stop calling me that!

He swings his blade at Loona, slicing off a few pieces of her fur as she jumped back.

Blitzø: Loona!

Loona backed into a wall and collapsed.

Y/N? (Demon): And two, since when did your kind started caring about these feckless mortals? If I recall correctly, we're punishing the guilty, aren't we? Well, these guys are guilty for trying to reveal the truth about the afterlife to everyone on Earth. If the truth gets out, humanity will be thrown into turmoil because they can't handle the truth.

Loona: This is different, N/N. They're not like the people we killed.

Y/N? (Demon): ENOUGH! I will not hear anymore of this!

He then used his F/C magic to create a muzzle for Loona as she struggled to talk.

Blitzø: No!

He runs to Loona, only for Y/N? to push Blitzø towards a wall, incapacitating him.

Moxxie & Millie: Sir!

Y/N? (Demon): Let the execution process... begin.

He begins choking the life out of Agent Two. However, Y/N?'s shadow began to form into a different shape and Y/N? sensed it.

Y/N? (Demon): ... I was wondering when you would show up...

He drops Agent Two as she starts coughing. He turns around to his shadow as glowing red eyes were seen.

Y/N? (Demon): ... Stolas.

Then, Stolas appeared through his shadow.

Stolas: N/N...

Moxxie: Your Highness?

Stolas looked at Y/N? as he looked different. His irises were red.

Stolas: ... How sad it is to see how you've fallen. *looks around* And how you've reduced to hurting your friends.

???: They're not my friends. Not anymore.

Moxxie: What?

Loona: *eyes widen*

???: And stop calling me Y/N! That's not my name, anymore. That name carries nothing but false knowledge and dishonesty. A pathetic excuse for living! What are you doing here, Stolas? Come to save your worthless insects? I would've expected better from a so-called higher-up.

Stolas: You're not the first one to tell me that.

???: But, I won't be the last one, either. When word gets out, you will be disowned. ... *smirks* But where's the fun in that? I wanna see to it that your death is done by my hands before I start ruling over these pathetic and lowly mortals. As well as these two. And this... hellhound.

Millie: N/N...

Stolas: You'd execute the people who've been there for you? Who consider you to be family?

???: Last time I checked, we're not a family. Are we, Moxxie?

Moxxie: ...

???: Hmph. Doesn't matter. A god such as me doesn't need these... petty attachments.

Stolas: You, a god? You were given these powers because you were chosen.

Millie: "Chosen"?

Stolas: You were what even the King of Hell wanted you to be.

Moxxie: The king?

Stolas: You're the Demonic Hero!

???: No longer. Being a hero is nothing but a child's failed experience.

Stolas: Is that what you believe?

???: *clenches fists* You people have an answer to everything, huh? Why don't you just shut up!

Suddenly, a F/C aura surrounded Y/N?.

???: The time to repent for your pride is upon you. *summons blade* Pathetic, worthless creatures! You will soon know... the wrath of V/N!

He swings his blade at Stolas and he disappeared, causing V/N to slice through the wall. Stolas appeared before Moxxie and Millie.

V/N: Tch. The filth still lives... V/N (Villain/Name)...? *smirks evilly & chuckles* It is befitting for me. Wouldn't you agree, Stolas?

His eyes flashed demonically. Loona was heartbroken to see the love of her life be reduced to a being named V/N as she started crying a little.

V/N (Demon): While I could easily crush you all in a single clench of my iron fist, I have important matters to attend to. Until then, leave and relish in your worthless life before I come along and destroy it all. Hehehehehe... Enjoy your time... for whatever that's worth.

Suddenly, demonic wings appeared on V/N's back as he then slapped them, causing him to be lifted off the ground. He laughs evilly and he destroys the roof and leaves. The F/C muzzle disappeared from Loona as she collapsed onto the ground and silently cried. Moxxie, angry and with his fists clenched, approaches the agents.

Moxxie: What the fuck did you two do to him?!

Agent One: W-We only did what we did to you! We used the Truth serum to get him to tell us the truth.

Moxxie: And because of you, Y/N's out there, doing God knows what! We should be done with you so that you won't ever pull a stunt like this, again!

Stolas: No.

Moxxie: *turns to Stolas* What?

Stolas: Doing that won't bring us closer to saving Y/N. Not that he even can be saved.

Millie: ... Your Highness... What did you mean when Y/N was "chosen"?

Stolas: ... Everyone, follow me to Hell. I have some explaining to do.

He opens a portal as he carries the unconscious Blitzø. They all walked through it and Loona followed them through it, but she turned around to see the damaged V/N caused.

Loona: *heartbroken* Y/N...

She held her chest and whimpers as she walked through the portal and the portal closed. Meanwhile, V/N arrived at the top of a tall building, looking at the horizon of the city.

V/N (Demon): ... Hmph. Lousy and pathetic. This is what they're reduced to? How wasteful. ... *smirks* I can fix that. *turns left* Time to give them a wakeup call. Hehehehehe...

He then takes off. After a while, the city went out of power and everyone was panicked until suddenly, TVs everywhere started glitching.

V/N: People of Earth, if you value your lives, you will all meet me at the Empire State Building. And to all those who can't make it here, stay tuned because we'll be broadcasting live to all over the planet. See you, then.

The TVs turned off and after a while, many people gathered around at the Empire State Building and waited with worry and concern. Then, spotlights came on and shined upon V/N.

V/N: Hehehehe. Let's give them something they'll never forget.

Soon, a chorus began to sing out as V/N spreaded his wings and fell off the building. The people exclaimed, but V/N took off to the sky past the people as the music began to amp up.

V/N: 🎵I've come to give you
The very last words that will ever leave your lips
Your bitter end, my fingertips🎵

He then flew up to the skies.

V/N: 🎵I relish power
You spineless coward
You're nothing more than what you see
Uncover weakness underneath🎵

He then got to space and saw the full moon.

V/N: 🎵And you will beg that I give your planet just a little bit longer
But I would die before I would ever give up any power🎵

V/N chuckles darkly and lands back down on Earth.

V/N: 🎵Bow down on your knees, you're in over your head
Bow down, heart will freeze and you'll be left for dead
Bow down to your king and let the name be heard
Bow down as they scream out their final words🎵

Chorus: 🎵(BOW! DOWN! BEFORE! YOUR! KING! V/N!)

As the chorus sang, V/N laughed and everyone covered in fear as V/N looked down at them and smirked.

V/N: That's more like it...

He then envelopes some people in a F/C aura and pulled them to him.

V/N: 🎵I live to take all that I want
I'll make you break, fall, watch you crawl
I am disaster, brought from the heavens to seize the end
I WON'T STOP 'TILL YOU'RE DEAD!🎵

He then releases them and they all ran away from him.

V/N: 🎵You'll never leave me out to the wolves, so let's not play pretend
Pretend, you're making me ascend
No, you complete me, make me whole, now I don't feel regret
Regret, I'll make you repent🎵

He then shot his F/C power up against the moon and the moon turned F/C, enveloping the sky in the same color.

Bow down as they scream out their final words🎵

He then took to the skies and shot at the ground, making people run and scream in fear.

V/N: 🎵PUSH ME TO THE EDGE, YOU WON'T LAST, BITCH
NO, I'VE HAD IT, YEAH
PAIN THAT NEVER ENDS, EVERLASTING
NO MORE ASKING, LET'S GO!🎵

He then went back up to space and looked at the planet.

V/N: 🎵Can you see the end is out?
Out of your control
As the ashes fall
So will your heart and soul🎵

He then summons a F/C fireball and shoots at the planet.

V/N: 🎵When your end is sure to come
I will be the deliverer of your final fate
They will see that I am the king
Now bow to me🎵

As the chorus sang out, the blast hits the atmosphere and explodes. V/N watches from space and smirks evilly.

V/N: The age of dominance will soon end! No more enslavement! This is the day where I will be the kind of king you will rely on! Follow me and you will never again be enslaved! Because I will lead us all into the future! Because I... am... V/N!!!

He laughs maniacally as he then turns to the fourth wall and smirks as the darkness kicked in, but his evil smirk and demon eyes were glowing in the darkness before they faded away. His laugh echoes across the endless space around him, giving way to his newfound dominance over Earth. Meanwhile, Stolas was looking around his library for something as Moxxie and Millie were sitting on the floor.

Millie: ... I can't believe this is happening... To think that someone like Y/N could fall that low. And just as we finally found a human who has a good heart.

Moxxie: Was it just a fucking illusion? Did he just... lie to us, this whole time? Deep down, I fucking knew it, but to actually see it happen, still...

Millie: *clenches fists* Fucking goddamnit! I can't believe it! I don't want to. Y/N...

Loona: Shut up! Both of you!

Moxxie: ...

Loona: *starts crying* I know Y/N... He would never do this... You said it yourselves, those humans did this to him. Something must've happened to him.

Stolas: You're right.

Everyone turned to Stolas and Blitzø jolted awake.

Blitzø: I'm up! What happened?

Stolas found what he was looking for and grabbed a book.

Stolas: This isn't the first time I've seen this happen to a human. Whenever a human comes in contact with our powers, he or she becomes a corrupted and broken fragment of who they were. The evil in their hearts become ten times worse if they lose control of the power. Y/N is no different, but based on what I've seen in him, I fear that his case is even worse than anything else.

Moxxie: What do you mean?

Stolas sets the book down and opens it to a page where a picture of a human was seen.

Stolas: When I was little, Lord Lucifer has told me about a legend. A legend involving a human coming to Hell with demonic power and a pure heart. And when I saw Y/N, I believed the legend was true.

Loona: *sniffles* Legend?

Stolas: "The legend speaks of a human mortal with a pure and kind-hearted heart will arrive in Hell in human form, but will posses demonic powers that could rival even the likes of Satan and unless he or she can master their powers, their anger will ignite a smoldering flame in their heart and will burn like hellfire until the human's anger can be quelled and as the human continues to grow stronger through every battle and experience that puts them at the edge of death, the human will bounce back with wrathful power. With the power bestowed upon them and as they continue to grow stronger, they are destined to bring peace, justice, and balance to both Heaven and Hell."

Everyone was speechless to hear that.

Moxxie: Y/N... was chosen?

Millie: Even if that's true, he's not like that, anymore. He's... become something worse.

Stolas: Indeed. That's why Y/N's case is worse. With a pure heart like his, something bad in him was equal to his heart. If he's the Demonic Hero, then his alter ego is the Demonic Evil, a reincarnation of Y/N.

Moxxie: He said that his name was V/N.

Millie: So, what are we supposed to do, now?

Stolas: If he's still up in the mortal realm, we're heading up there to find him and stop him before he hurts himself.

Moxxie: But, he could be anywhere on the planet. How the fuck are we going to find him?

Stolas: I'll be able to sense his presence when we get up there, but I need some help in holding him down while I do what I must.

Blitzø: ... Y/N was, and still is, a part of this family. We'll do what we can to bring him back.

M&M: Right!

Stolas: ...

After a while, Stolas opened a portal and they walked through it, but Blitzø turned to Loona as she followed them.

Blitzø: Loonie, no.

Loona: What?

Blitzø: I... I don't think it's safe for you to see Y/N the way he is. Just leave this to us.

Loona: No, I'm going with you! I'm the only one who knows Y/N better.

Blitzø: And with the way you are, right now, Loona, I can't risk putting you in danger. He hurt you pretty bad. Besides, if anything happens to us, we need you to pull us out of there.

Loona: But, Da-

Blitzø: Loona! ... Please. I'm not saying this because of my fear of your safety. So, please, stay. Can you do that?

Loona looked at Blitzø's eyes and saw something completely different behind them.

Loona: ... O-Okay. Just... be careful.

Blitzø: I'll call you when we're ready. You'll know what to do. And don't worry. We will.

Loona hugs Blitzø, which surprised him.

Loona: Please... Bring Y/N back, Dad.

Blitzø: ... With everything in my power, I promise.

They hugged for a while until they let go and Blitzø walked through it. Loona looked at the grimoire and went to grab it. She held onto it and rested on the couch, replaying her favorite moments of being with Y/N.

Loona: *whimpers* N/N...

With Stolas and the others, they arrived at a warehouse and Stolas fell to the ground.

Blitzø: Stolas! You okay?

Stolas: *groaning* That presence... It's worse and powerful than before. Y/N's around here. I know it.

Millie: How do we find him?

Stolas: Let me. I'll find him. Stay here.

He then walked away and used his magic to levitate into the air. He then flew off and searched through a fiery city.

???: Stolas!

He turned to whoever called him and noticed V/N on top of a building with his arms crossed and an evil smirk on his face. Stolas sharpened his expression and landed on the same building.

Stolas: V/N...

V/N: In the disgusting human flesh.

Stolas: ...

V/N: I knew you were here. I felt your presence. And I'd be a fool to ask why you're here. Have you come to stop me?

Stolas: ...

V/N: Given your silence, I'll take that as a yes. ... You like my kingdom? I did what you higher-ups didn't. I put these mortals in their place. They needed a leader and I'm him.

Stolas: A leader of a ruined city, V/N? How is this a kingdom?

V/N: This destruction is unfortunate and unwanted, I'll admit it. But these mortals continued to challenge my supremacy. If I can't lead them down a much better path, then the only way they'll learn is... extinction.

Stolas: Who the hell made you judge?

V/N: I look down on these mortals from a different perspective than you people in Hell do. These humans continue to slaughter and dominate until their bottomless hunger for power can be quelled, but it never is. Which will eventually lead to Earth's destruction. I've witnessed first hand on how these humans continue to grow in a corrupted system and society. This race needs leadership, someone who's willing to save them from themselves and prevent an extinction. However, these people wield technology that could threaten even low-level demons like the imps and the hellhounds. They're capable of enslaving your kind and mine. So, with the body of a human, I can feel the flesh and blood of humanity and with the power of a demon, I can wield the power to help them. The only downside to this pathetic race is that they fail to understand anything. They never want anything to do that's outside of their understanding and in response, they try to exterminate the problem instead of confronting it or try to reason with it. The humans are a dominant species for decades and that's a bad thing for nature because humanity continues to destroy, destroy, destroy! That's all they know!

He releases a F/C aura.

V/N: So in order for me to reach out to them, I had to speak their language. This violence was tragic, but necessary if I were to help them understand. I will put all these humans on their knees and make them bow before their new king. And if you and your kids wish to challenge me, then I won't hesitate to rule over Hell as well after I kill Lucifer and anyone who can stand in my way! I'll do whatever it takes to save this world and the afterlife, even if it means I MUST BRING FORTH A KIND OF VIOLENCE ONLY THESE BASTARDS UNDERSTAND!

Stolas: ...

V/N: ... Those agents showed me the truth. They showed me everything. In this world, it's kill or be killed. But as long as I'm here, I'll do whatever it takes to prevent that from happening.

Stolas: Not with that kind of mindset, Y/N.

V/N: ...

Stolas: I've only briefly known you, but I already know enough. This transformation you've undergone has made you into something terrible. The Y/N I know would never do this.

V/N: That's because he's weak! He lacks the will to do the right thing while V/N is willing to do anything, no matter the cost!

Stolas: Even if it means you'll be reduced to having a kingdom where no humans survive?

V/N: ... Whatever. It. Takes.

His eyes glew in response.

Stolas: *clenches fists* Then, you leave me no choice, N/N. I'm sorry, but anyone in my position would do what I'm doing, right now. To dispose the problem at hand.

V/N: ... You're just like everyone else, then... Very well, then. You brought this on yourself.

He suddenly vanished and kicks Stolas into the air. He spreads his wings and flies up. He tried to attack Stolas, but Stolas teleported behind V/N and they stared at each other.

V/N (Demon): *chuckles evilly* How incredibly disappointing. I was expecting more from a Goetia. Come on, then.

They then clashed in the air and as they did, Blitzø and the others watched.

Moxxie: When the hell did he get wings?

Millie: Moxxie, we're dealing with a highly advanced Y/N. And what does he mean by king?

Blitzø: ... He means to rule over these humans.

Moxxie: If he does that, then he'll drive out business out of order!

Millie: *smacks Moxxie's arm* I don't care about the business! I care about saving our human friend. He would've done the same if the same thing happened to us.

Moxxie: ... Y-You're right. From now on, it doesn't matter about IMP. We're here for a member of the family. What's the plan?

Blitzø: Right now? Nothing but to stand here and leave him to Stolas.

Back in the sky, they clashed elbows until V/N punched Stolas's stomach and slams him towards the ground. He tried to get up.

Stolas: Don't know why I'm surprised. Y/N is the chosen one, but I didn't think he would be this powerful. If I don't deal with him, Satan might. And trust me, V/N, I'm a much simpler way to handle.

V/N (Demon): Heh. Be that as it may. Nevertheless, you should try and put forth a little more effort. ... Or are you afraid of killing me because you'll kill Y/N? This is his body, so if you kill me, then you kill your human companion.

Stolas: ... I'll do what I must.

V/N (Demon): Attabird. Bring it.

Stolas jumped up at V/N and they clashed again, but V/N caught his fist and went for the blow, but Stolas used his magic to shield himself, blowing V/N back.

V/N (Demon): There it is... Now, the real fight begins!

He summons a F/C sword from his right hand and charges at Stolas. They clashed again as V/N's sword clashed with Stolas's shield. Stolas pushes the sword away and punches V/N's face. V/N feels his face and winces at feeling the mark. He chuckles and they clash, again. V/N elbowed Stolas's face and pushed him against a building.

V/N (Demon): What's it gonna take to motivate you into giving me a real fight? ... *eyes widen* Wait... I have an idea. That daughter of yours... Octavia, was it? How would you feel if I were to visit Hell and paid her a visit myself? And maybe...

Suddenly, a loud screech was heard and the building exploded, revealing...

V/N's eyes widened at this as the red hawk then disappeared and Stolas charged at V/N. He started to overwhelm him as he landed a flurry of attacks.

Millie: Oh, guys...? Is it just me or is Stolas...?

Moxxie: Sir, tell me he wouldn't...

Blitzø: No! He wouldn't! Even if that's V/N, right now, it's still Y/N. He won't do it. He just can't... Right?

After landing a hard hit against V/N's stomach, Stolas infused his fist with magic and slammed V/N against the ground near Blitzø and the others.

Stolas: Now!

Blitzø and the others charged at V/N and held him against the ground.

V/N: What?!

As they held him down, Stolas lowered down to the ground and approached V/N.

Stolas: To think a noble soul like yours could be corrupted... I believed you would be the chosen one to bring balance, but... I guess it was just a false hope.

He summons a red blade and holds it over the back of his neck.

Blitzø: What? Stolas!

Moxxie: No, he wouldn't!

Stolas: Sorry, but it has to be done.

Blitzø: No!

He pulls out his flintlock and aims it at Stolas. He shoots beside him making him lose the blade.

Stolas: Blitzø!

Blitzø got up and held his arms out.

Blitzø: I won't let you kill him. Sorry, Stolas, but I can't.

Stolas: Blitzø...

V/N's eyes glew and he smirked as he smacked Moxxie and Millie away. He then and suddenly, V/N pierced his blade through Blitzø, causing the environment to be photo-negative. The imps stared in shock and horror as well as Stolas.

Everyone: BLITZØ!!!

The F/C blade disappeared and as Blitzø collapsed, V/N stood up and laughed maniacally.

V/N: What a fucking idiot! I can't believe he would try to save me. Had he not done what he did, I would've spared him, but what's done is done. *shrugs* Hehehehe. If you all had any sense, you'd all understand that your death is a mercy for you and this world. You should be thankful.

Moxxie: ... You... KILLED HIM!!!

Millie: YOU MONSTER!!!

They charged at V/N, but V/N vanished and appeared in the air. He holds his hand up, releasing a power ball.

V/N: Are you all finished? Considering you represent your lot, this is a pathetic showing from you all. ... Good riddance, scum.

Stolas quickly summoned a portal and as soon as V/N launched the power ball at the warehouse, they disappeared through it, but the warehouse was destroyed. V/N landed on the ground.

V/N: The filth still persists... At the last second, Stolas summoned a portal and they all returned to Hell. ... No matter. They'll be back. I know it. And that imp won't last long. *chuckles* Did they think they could save me and bring me back to the weakling I was before? Never again.

He walks away into the flames and the flames engulfed his silhouette.
