Harry POV
It's been silent between Liam and I for what feels like hours. It doesn't help that I need to pee and my stubborn ass girlfriend won't let us out until we 'make up'.
I really shouldn't expect anything less from Eve considering how pushy she is at times. For instance, my family.
"Can you text Eve saying to let us out. I need to pee," I finally say to Liam once I've had enough of holding it in.
"Okay," He says. He starts typing on his phone and he puts it to the side until we both hear a beep. "She asked if you just up the shelf,"
"Just tell her I said yes," I say. "I'll do it later," Liam has a raised eyebrow at me but he doesn't say anything. "She said thanks, and to hold it in,"
My eyes widen at her response. "I need to pee though. I will pee myself if I don't leave this room," I say through gritted teeth. He starts to type again.
"Eve said in her red purse she has a water bottle that you can pee in," Liam says.
"She's joking, right?" I ask. Little hope is in my voice.
"I don't know, check her purse," He says casually. I reach for her only red purse and see there is in fact a water bottle inside.
"How the fuck am I supposed to pee in this thing?" I ask. There are only two drops of water left in which I'm thankful for because I don't want it to overflow.
"I don't know, have fun figuring it out," His voice sounds humours and amused.
"I don't want to pee in front of you," I say.
"I've seen your dick before, Harry. Just turn the other way," Liam shrugs.
"Still, it's weird," I say while standing. "I'm not wearing boxers so close your eyes," I add.
"Why aren't you wearing boxers?" Liam asks with a confused look.
"Because I like to let my balls breath, okay?" I say. "Now close your eyes," I say again.
"Okay," Liam closes his eyes and pull down my sweatpants.
I can't believe I'm doing this.
~
I asked Liam for the time it's four o'clock now. So, it's been two hours since we've been stuck in this room and I'm honestly going crazy.
The water bottle filled of piss is beside me. It grosses me that I actually did that.
I put up Eve's stupid shelf. She can put her shoes on top later.
"Should we just talk?" Liam asks while breaking the thick silence between us.
"We both said we're not friends anymore, what else is there to say?" I ask him. His brown eyes look at me and his shoulders shrug.
"I don't know," He says. His fingers drum along his thighs. "Uh, how's life?"
"Decent, you?" I ask.
"Decent," Liam murmurs.
Silence falls between us again.
I let out a deep breath and run my hand through my hair. I really need a hair cut. All I know is that I'm taking a shower after being trapped in this closet.
"Hoes uh, Ben?" Even if Liam and I aren't friends I still hate Ben, and the thought of him makes me angry.
"Good, I suppose. I haven't hung out with him or Daren in a few weeks though," He tells me.
"Why?" I ask.
Liam opens his mouth to speak but closes it. "Just haven't been in the mood," He says casually. His hand runs through his hair and he lets out a deep breath.
I just nod and look to the door that's being locked with a chair under the knob.
We both don't speak after that for a few minutes. The air is still thick and awkward still.
"I'm sorry," I hear Liam say to me. My eyes look back to my old friend.
"For?" I ask.
"Being an insensitive dick," He says. "I should've talked to you when I felt like we were drifting instead of hanging out with Ben more pushing you away,"
"I didn't notice anything different between us," I admit.
"I know," Liam murmurs. "Everything was just bad timing," He says. "On my part anyways," He adds.
"Yeah," I mumble. My fingers fidget on my lap and I look away from his stare.
"If it helps my Mom and Dad are mad at me," Liam tells me. I chuckle.
"I know, I got your Mom's text," I say. He shrugs.
"What did she say to you?" He asks me.
"That she's very upset that we're not friends anymore, and how she hopes we end up friends again in the future possibly. And she said other choice words about you," I explain briefly. Liam nods and rests his shoulders against the wall behind him more.
"I miss being friends with you," Liam says. "I didn't realise how much we do together until we stopped being friends these past weeks,"
"I had a McDonalds milkshake and nine tacos from taco bell after we decided not be friends because I was sad," I admit.
"I did the same," He tells me.
"Do you want to be friends again?" I ask. "You were the one who said I was boring and needed hobbies,"
"I was reaching," Liam says through a mumble. "And, do you want to be friends again?"
"I asked you first," I say.
"Yes," He says. "You?"
"Yes," I answer.
"So, we're friends again?" I clarify.
"Yes, we're friends again," He says. I nod and try to push down the happiness floating into my chest.
"I would say we can shake hands on it but, you know," I travel off. Liam laughs at my words and I chuckle.
"Yeah, I got it. I'll text Sophia," He tells me. I nod.
We both stand up and wait for her to respond. In the mean time we just stand in silence. "Wanna hug on it?" I offer.
"Yeah," Liam says. We hug each other for a good amount of time that doesn't make it seem weird or insincere. "I want you to be my best man," He blurts out.
"You already gave that position to Ben," I say.
"I talked to Ben about it and he said he wants you to be the best man considering our history, and he's fine just being a groomsman,"
"When did you talk to Ben about it?" I ask with knotted eyebrows.
"Yesterday," Liam mumbles. "Like what I said, I missed being your friend,"
I smile at his words. "It would be a shitty thing to take Ben's spot when you asked him to be it. Like, you obviously asked him for a reason,"
"Ben wants you guys to get along better, and he told me to tell you it's fine with him for you to be the best man. And I genuinely want you to be it because of everything we've been through; not recently, throughout knowing each other. Plus. Sophia is asking Eve to be the maid of honour so it would be a matching pair type of thing," Liam explains to me.
I know she's going to cry when Sophia asks her.
"Are you sure?" I ask timidly. "If it's a pity thing I don't want to do it," I say.
"It's not a pity thing," Liam says to me. He gives me a small smile and we see the closet door open.
They're both smiling. "So, you guys maid up?" Sophia asks.
"Yes," I answer for Liam and I.
They allow us to leave the closet, finally. I look to Eve who has a peppy smile on her lips. Avery is in her arms and she also has a grin on her mouth. My daughters dimples are on her rosy cheeks and Max is on our bed laying down.
***
I threw out the water bottle full of piss, and I took a shower. Anna is on vacation so Eve and I have been cooking dinner. It's a good think we have Anna because we both suck at cooking.
Eve is making chicken, since it's her day to cook. I hug her from behind and kiss her cheek. "Thank you," I murmur against her.
"You don't need to thank me," She says.
"Yes I do," I say. I kiss her skin again and hold her more tightly.
"Are you mad at me?" Eve asks. "I know you how you were before with me by accidentally pushing you to hangout with your family too much. The only reason why I was skeptical to do this was because I was worried that line was crossed more than a little," Her voice is low and in a murmur.
"I didn't tell you the full reason why I don't like my family, it wasn't your fault," I say.
"Still," Eve murmurs. "So are you mad?"
"No," I say. "I love you,"
"I love you too," She responds. I keep my arms wrapped around her body and I hold my girlfriend against me tightly.
