Harry POV
It's Saturday morning and Liam asked if I wanted to go the diner with him for some breakfast.
So, that's where I am at now.
"How's Eve doing with Avery?" My friend asks me. Liam sips the coffee he ordered.
"Good," I answer. "How's Sophia?"
"She's good. Her and Eve are actually hanging out today, which is good. She's been a little iffy with being home alone in the house,"
"Eve is the same way, but at least she has Max and Avery," I play with my fingers under the table. "So, Ben is the best man," I bring up.
"Yeah," Liam says with a faint smile. Silence falls between us and we both awkwardly sip our coffee's. "No hard feelings right?"
"I mean, no. Ben has been in your life for just as long as I have, so it's fine. Wait-" Liam's eyes look tense by my words, and I just stare at him.
"It's just a best man, Harry. It's not a big deal,"
"The name best man says a lot," I say. "Was I even considered to be it?"
"Yeah," Liam mumbles.
"And?"
"Ben and I have grown close. You know these past years you've been slowly getting back to being yourself but before you were just someone who I didn't think I knew. Yes, we've been best friends since we were kids but you haven't acted like my best friend in years,"
"What do you mean?" I scoff with wide, offended eyes.
Liam shrugs. "You never wanted to go out and do things, you were a bit of a jackass, and you just turned into someone new after Jane and Elena died which I understood. But you haven't been the same since," He says. "Sometimes our friendship is one sided,"
"How?" I ask with narrowed eyes. "I just asked about your fiance, how's that one sided?"
"You never see me coming to you for advice, do you?"
"Who's fault is that?" I ask. "I don't carry around a sign that says don't come to me if you need help," I defend.
"I just want Ben to be my best man, Harry. He acts more like a best friend to me than you do sometimes," I bite down on my jaw and dig my fingers into my thighs. "And you can't deny that. The only time you want to hangout with me is because you have issues with Eve or need to vent about the office,"
"I'm sorry I don't treat you like a best friend when I look at your like a brother. I don't go to Daren who's one of my best friends for advice because I trust you more. If I was annoying you, you could've told me you didn't want to help and I would've understood. But, thanks for throwing it in my face that I semi rely on you like you're my family," I stand up from the booth and place a twenty down on the table. "Go give my meal to Ben,"
I walk out of the diner and go to my rental car parked in the back of the resturaunt.

I got an early flight back to New York.
Tonight we all we supposed to go out to dinner since it was our last day in Arizona, but I'm not in the mood to see Liam or his "best friend".
I said goodbye to Daren before I left for the airport. At least I still have him as a friend.
I open the front door to my house at noon, and it's silent. I leave my suitcase downstairs and walk up the stairs. I hear the TV on in Eve and I's bedroom, so I walk over to there.
When I walk into our bedroom I see Eve isn't in bed. The TV is on and the bed is still unmade, so that confuses me. I see her shadow in the doorway that leads to the bathroom.
I go over to where she is and her with welled up eyes. "Fuck, Harry," Eve shoves me.
"Oh shit. Did I scare you?" I ask with sad eyes.
I should've texted her saying I was coming home, considering how sensitive she is since her Dad's house.
"Yes, fuck, I can't breath," She rests her hands on her knees and leans forward a little to catch her breath.
"I'm sorry," I wrap my arms around her body and stroke her lower back. "I didn't mean to scare you,"
"Next time call. All I hear is someone going up the steps and the floor creaking and I got scared," Her voice is a little settled now.
"Where's Avery?" I ask my girlfriend.
Eve opens the door to the shower and I see my daughter on the floor. "If it was John or someone I didn't want her to get hurt," She says to me. I kneel down and pick up my daughter.
"That was a good idea," I compliment. I kiss my daughters cheek and hold her tightly.
We exit the bathroom and she sits back on our bed. I look to Avery who's looking at me with a wide smile. She cups my cheeks and kisses me. I smile at her actions.
"What made you come home early?" Eve asks.
"I missed you guys too much," I say with a gentle grin. I look to my daughter who's staring at me with a smile. I poke one of her dimples and her head nuzzles into me. I missed my little girl.
"Uhuh," Eve says with a raised eyebrow.
"What? I missed my princess and my queen," I say causing my girlfriend to roll her eyes.
"Well, she needs to go to take a nap now. So you get the pleasure of putting her down then you can tell me why you came back early," Eve gives me a smug smile.
I stand up from our bed and adjust Avery in my arms. I kiss my daughter's forehead and smile at her. She's wearing a footy pajama with little elephants on them. "You're so adorable. You take after your Mama," I say to Ava who's staring at me. I put her down in her crib and wait until she falls asleep to leave.

I'm laying down next to Eve. My hand is on her lower back and her head is close to mine. "I have to confess something to you,"
"What is it?" She asks me. Her hazel eyes look at me.
"I didn't have meetings in Arizona. It was a guys week with me, Liam, Daren, and Ben," I admit.
"Oh," She says.
"I went because I wanted to give you and Ava some alone time to bond," I say quickly. "I felt bad for lying but it was for a good reason," I add.
"Harry?"
"Yes?"
"I know," My eyebrows furrow instantly at her words.
"How?" I ask.
"Daren tells me everything," She hums. I huff and cuddle myself into Eve more. "But, thank you for doing that,"
"Are you mad at me?" I ask her.
"No," Eve says. "So, I assume you and Liam aren't on good terms?"
"Why do you say that?"
"Sophia and I had breakfast here this morning and Liam called her saying you guys got into an argument," She informs me. I let out a deep breath and hold Eve more tightly. My head rests next to her's and I close my eyes for a few moments. "Wanna talk about it?"
"He hurtled my feelings," I say in a mumble. My girlfriend nuzzles her head into my chest.
"Liam seems beat up about it too," She says.
"Well, he should," I say through a grumble. "And I have to live across from him the rest of my life. I moved into this house so we could hangout more, I don't think Ben would do that,"
"Are you guys not friends anymore?" Eve asks.
"I don't know," I say. "But I'm not going to his wedding,"
"Harry-"
"No, I'm not going," I repeat. "He was a douche bag today and practically said I'm a bad friend,"
"You'll regret not going to your best friends wedding," Eve warns.
"No I won't," I say. "Lets change the topic. I bought condoms," My girlfriend laughs at me. "But I'm not in the mood right now, but later we'll use them, if you're up to it,"
"Okay," Eve snickers. I lean down and kiss her lips that I missed kissing. They taste sweet and feel soft against mine. "I love you,"
"I love you more," I say to her. I see Eve smile softly at me. "Eve?"
"Yes?" Her face is close to mind and my fingers play with the hem of her shirt.
"I want to marry you," I say bluntly.
