THERE WAS NO CLARK KENT ON EARTH ONE.

A boy did not fall from the sky in a meteor show in a small Kansas town. A boy was not adopted by a couple who lived on a farm and raised to do everything he could to blend in. A boy did not grow up to have a crush on Lana Lang before finding his true love in Lois Lane.

BUT THERE WAS A SUPERMAN ON EARTH ONE.

A boy did fall out of the sky just outside the city in a meteor show. A boy was taken in by the first cop on the scene who managed to disguise the fact that the boy too had fallen with the large rocks. A boy was raised to hone his skills to help others and did not have a crush on a girl in school  — it was a boy instead.

In nearly universe there was a Superman. And in most of those, he was Clark Kent. In the ones he wasn't, he was connected to at least someone from another version of his life. But not with Sam Vaux. He was the anomaly of all the Kal-El's of the multiverse. He did not have a Lana, a Lois or a Lex. 

Instead he had his Father and Central City. And he had his powers that allowed him to help the innocent from the shadows.

But then a new hero sped onto the scene — this one making his statement in a yellow Streak. It was then that Sam had enough. So, against the wishes of his cop father, he became more than a nobody and let himself become more known to the world. Sure, they called him The Blur. But it was something.

Racing through Central City, the Streak and the Blur strive to reach crime scenes first. They competed for glory against one another until they realised what they were doing was childish and decided to work together. And renamed The Flash and Superman, that was exactly what they did.

Two heroes in one city. Working together to save the day. And, all the while, even with super-senses, Sam couldn't quite figure out that his new ally was in fact the boy he had crushed on all those years ago.

• Basically every universe has a superman. Whether he was raised by the Luthors or had different life experiences. But Sam's is completely different. He's so unlike the other kal-els. He has no connection to anyone of the usual clark kent storyline. His name isn't even clark.

• He was raised by his cop father - its how he met barry - who helped him hone his skills although he has no idea. Henry raised Sam to use his abilities to help others from the shadow. No one knows he exists or that he's helping. That was until the Streak turned up and people gave him the credit for Sam's saves. Sam, who has been helping people for years without any recognition, took a little offence to that.

• Krypton still exploded and he lost his family. Kryptonite ended up on earth and eventually, bad guys will realise that kryptonite effects him. After all, he landed outside the city so that's where a lot of it ended up.

• All the same powers as other supermans. 

• Like Smallville's superman, Sam can't fly at the beginning. He just runs really fast until he learns to fly a few seasons in (definitely will be a big moment).

• He doesn't have a fortress (yet?) but he has the hologram of his birth father from his ship who tells him everything about who he is and helps him.

notes:

• With his father as a cop for the CCPD, Sam met Barry and Iris through Joe. He developed a crush on him but they parted ways.

• Sam did visit Barry at STAR labs during his coma, but hadn't seen him since.

• When the Streak arrives, Sam becomes more known. Streak is faster than the Blur when he runs. But still, Sam is pretty fast. They have a rivalry in the beginning, competing to save the most people. But, after a while, they realise it's stupid and decide to work together.

• Despite their rivalry, Sam does not attempt to use his super-senses to discover the identity of the Flash. It's a mark of respect. But, at some point, Sam scans a room with Barry in it and notices how fast his heart is. Then he realises he found the Flash and confronts him.

• Nora and Bart are Sam and Barry's kids. They used an egg donor and had the fortress imbue it with both their DNA's so Nora and Bart are genetically both of theirs. You can do with that how you'd like. 

• Meeting Kara is amazing for Sam. She's surprised his name isn't Clark but she's so happy to meet him. Finally, Sam has someone like him in his life. E!1 Kara died on Krypton with everyone else. He had no idea - his hologram father never said - so meeting her causes him to mourn the cousin he never knew about.

• Iris and Sam are very good friends. Perhaps, at times, she gets a bit jealous due to possible feelings for Barry. But they reconcile and move on. She'll be a main shipper of these two.

• Barry is pansexual and Sam is gay.
