JOHN JUNIOR — JJ — WINCHESTER WAS UNDERSTANDABLY PISSED AT HIS TWIN BROTHER. Sam had always known how much JJ wanted a normal life but when he ran away to college he didn't take his twin with him. So JJ was left in the hands of his older brother and his father who were both true hunters at heart. 

For as long as he could remember, JJ hadn't been what you would call normal. And that was excluding the lifestyle he had grown up in. From a young age, JJ would hear things that weren't there and would scribble symbols no one had ever seen. But when John took his son to see a psychic, thinking that somehow his middle child had impressive mind abilities, she turned up blank. No one knew what JJ Winchester was. So the boy was placed on medications that blocked out the voices and made his a head a little fuzzy. But still, he was able to hunt and that was what John Winchester really cared about.

Despite the medication, JJ was just as good as his brothers when it came to hunting but that didn't mean he liked it. Hunting just wasn't for him and John Winchester didn't like that. 

Stuck in a family business that he couldn't escape from, JJ Winchester became the hunter his father wanted whilst his twin left him behind. It wasn't the life he had wanted for himself —the one he spent nights rambling on to Uncle Bobby about — but it would do. That was, until, their three became two as John Winchester himself vanished without a trace.

JJ was reluctant to bring in Sam. After all, he had gone to such an effort to sever ties to his old life so why would they bring him back in. But Dean insisted. So it wasn't a holiday or a birthday that reunited the three brothers after years apart, it was their missing Father.

Now the boys must try to find John Winchester and save as many people as they can along the way. All the while JJ and Sam both trying to figure out what was happening to them. Either way, it wasn't going to be an easy ride.

• JJ is human, well, mostly. He's not like Sam though. Chuck's a dick so when he found out what would happen to Sam, he didn't stop it, he just got an angel to go there first and do something to JJ. So JJ has some angel grace inside of him instead of demon blood which makes the twins completely opposite. 

• JJ's part angel-ness makes him stronger, faster, smarter than most people at his age. He can also automatically translate enochian. He used to draw in enochian when he was a kid. Also, he can tune into and out of angel radio which is very cool. 

• Just to be clear, he's not a nephilim. The grace inside of him belongs to another angel (an archangel, I would say) and it's not his own. He doesn't have wings either. The angels think he's a means to an end because he gets hurt and dies like a human. They don't think of him as bad a nephilim, but they don't think he's great. 

•  In the beginning, considering angels are on 'the bullcrap list' they don't know why JJ is different. So he ends up on medication which just make him a fuzzy. John was insistent that he takes his meds but once Dean and Sam start to realise that JJ can do things, they don't make him take it anymore if he doesn't want to.

• JJ doesn't really have one set love interest (unless you wanted to make an OC). I do think Jo and JJ would have a sort of thing though. Also, JJ is omnisexual. 

• JJ sees Bobby more as his Father than John, despite the name. He also has a great bromance with Castiel: the angel and the sort of angel unite! And because JJ is openly omnisexual, him and Charlie have the best friendship ever. 

• Poor confused JJ in the beginning. He's on medication, his head is fuzzy and then demons go around asking what he is. This boy just wants a normal life that John keeps taking from him. John thinks JJ is the same as Sam with the demon blood thing. Azazel bled into JJ's mouth too but the blood didn't work because JJ already had angel grace inside but it was too weak to show. He thinks he turned JJ too. 

• It seems JJ is always the one to try and keep his brothers in line. He is the middle child but that doesn't mean he should be caught in the middle like this. He tries to help Sam with his demon blood and then Dean with his mark. JJ is always in the middle. 

• JJ doesn't really like hunting, but he does like helping people. He wanted to be a Doctor but his Dad said no. Eventually JJ realises that despite what he wanted, hunting was where he was meant to be. 

ACT ONE
supernatural season one

• Dean and JJ go and recruit Sam to find John. Their relationship is rocky but they slowly rebuild it. JJ is on his meds so his powers aren't really noticeable because he can't focus on them. Demons hate JJ so Meg tries to avoid him and she doesn't know what he is so she asks him and he's so confused. Bobby's always there to comfort this poor boy. 

ACT TWO
supernatural season two

• John is dead and JJ is sad despite everything. Azazel now knows JJ isn't one of his and tells John as such who tells Dean to watch JJ. JJ needs to be focused to use his powers which is why the meds stop him, but when he's really emotional, they sort of work and this is becoming more apparent. JJ and Jo have a sort of flirty thing and it's so cute. The Croatoan virus doesn't work on JJ. The Trickster is fascinated by JJ and is the one to recommend him stop taking his meds. He starts to then realise he can do incredible things and stops all together. Sam dies and Dean is still the one to sacrifice himself.


ACT THREE
supernatural season three

• Trying to save Dean and get rid of the demons released by the gate isn't easy. Demons hate JJ and Ruby is the first to speculate that the cause is something higher up on the supernatural food chain. Sam tells JJ about the demon blood and Azazel's curiosity about JJ. Both Sam and JJ experience Mystery Spot and JJ thanks the Trickster for helping him. Dean goes to hell and JJ's abilities go a little off the rails. 

ACT FOUR
supernatural season four

• Dean's back (JJ heard it on angel radio but didn't believe it) and with the arrival of Castiel, JJ finally learns what he is. Both Dean and JJ are tasked with keeping Sam on track. The arrival of all the angels is exciting for JJ as it's time for his abilities to finally and properly shine. Castiel is teaching him about them and how to use them more naturally. JJ really does care about Adam so he's sad when he finds out the truth. JJ isn't a vessel but both him and Dean end up at that church and fail to stop Sam.

ACT FIVE
supernatural season five

• The apocalypse is coming. JJ is really trying to get better control of his abilities to try and help as best as he can. JJ is absolutely crushed by Jo and Ellen's deaths. He thinks he has a responsibility to save everyone because of his gifts, but he can't. Crowley thinks JJ is incredibly fascinating. JJ doesn't like Sam's plan but knows it's the best one. He goes with Dean and they fight Lucifer together until Sam throws himself into the pit with Michael. JJ then goes back on his meds and tries to be normal.
