5. Fun, Happy Reunions
Crystal, along with her younger brother Silver, are in the courtyard of their castle. They are preparing for their journey to Kanto. Their father and mother watch over them from the door.
"Silver, do you have-"
"Extra blankets? Yes. I also have spare Pokéballs in case we decide to go Pokémon hunting."
Crystal stares at Silver.
"Hey, we don't go to Kanto often. Might as well try to take advantage of it," Silver says, shrugging.
"That sounds like your ideal date," Crystal comments, as she loads their cart.
"No it's not. It's yours."
Crystal grins.
"You're not wrong there."
"I heard Sapphire isn't what you call a regular princess so maybe she'll like to go Pokémon hunting with me."
Crystal smiles.
Even though Silver isn't the social type, he seems to be very optimistic.
"What's your ideal date Crystal, besides Pokémon hunting?"
"No idea. Never thought about it because I never needed to," Crystal answers, as she enter the Rapidash drawn cart. Silver enters as well, as Stuart takes the reins. Four other guards mounting Pontyas stand next to them, ready to go.
"Take care! We'll catch up with you darlings after we finish some paperwork," their mother yells as they ride out of the gates.
"Crystal, do you remember how Red, Green, and Blue are?"
Crystal sits there, thinking.
"I remember Red had such sweet, gentle looking eyes. Blue was a brat, and Green was always running around."
"Hmm," Silver says, sitting back against his seat.
"What is it?" Crystal asks.
"Nothing," Silver says, as his flicks his red hair to cover his face, and closes his eyes.
Crystal sighs, and looks out the window.
"Red, you better not be an asshole, or I'm going to banish you the first chance I get," Crystal whispers as they make their way to Kanto.

At the Kanto Castle, all the servants and maids are running around, making the final preparations for the arrival of Johto's Royal Family.
"Make sure every single inch of this castle is clean!" Red's father yells as Red walks towards the gate.
Red wears a tradition prince uniform. He has a top red with gold buttons, and his pants are blue. His usual wild black hair is combed nicely to the side, with his sword and Pokéballs resting on his belt.
"Are you excited?" Green asks as she walks up to Red, wearing a beautiful light blue dress, with her hair in an elegant braid.
"No, just nervous," Red answers, his voice monotone.
To be completely honest, Red has been dreading this day. The way he sees it, it's the beginning of the end.
Blue appears behind Red and Green, wearing a purple and green prince uniform.
"It's about time you showed up," Red mutters.
"Hey, you can't rush perfection," Blue smirks, as he flicks his hair.
Red simply rolls his eyes.
"Here they come your majesties!" A guard up at the watchtower yells, as the sound of hooves grow louder.
The King of Kanto stands behind his children, placing a hand on Green and Blue's shoulders.
Red gulps.
Rapidash trot through the gates, and into the courtyard. The cart slowly comes to a halt, and the driver hops out and opens the door. Out comes Crystal, who's hair is in curls, and slightly bounce as she steps out and feet land on the ground.
She's wearing a long, silver dress that's a bit puffy, but she seems to walk in it with ease.
Behind Crystal, walks a young man with long, red hair covering his right eye. He is also wearing a prince uniform, but his is all black, finishing it off with white gloves.
"Welcome to the Kanto region!" Red's father yells, as he makes his way over to the Johto heirs.
"The pleasure is ours, your majesty," Crystal says, curtsying.
King Roman grabs Crystal in a hug, catching her by surprise.
Silver sweatsdrops.
"I didn't know Father was the hugging type," Green whispers to Red.
Red sighs.
"He is when he's trying to make a good impression," Red answers.
"Our parents send their apologies for not arriving with us," Silver starts as Red's father puts Crystal down.
"Oh, no worries. I'm sure they'll be here when they can," he says, as he walks towards Stuart.
"After our servants empty the cart, follow Bernard over there, and he'll tell you where you can get food for your Rapidash," he says, as Stuart nods. He glances over to Crystal, and she sends him a reassuring smile.
"Yellow, can you and the others help them with their luggage please?" Red asks.
Yellow nods, looking at the ground as she and the others walk to the cart.
"It's an honor to meet you again, Princess Crystal," Red says, smiling as he walks over to her and offers his hand to her.
Crystal stares a little at Red's hand, confused.
Usually men grab her hand and kiss it, because she's a lady, and see her as fragile or weak. Men give each other handshakes as a sign of respect, and to see each other as equals. This is the first time a man acknowledges her as an equal.
"I'm glad to see you again, Prince Red," Crystal answers, accepting Red's hand, as she feels her face slowly start to burn up and redden.
"Let's go inside, shall we?" Red says with a smile, as he then offers his arm. Crystal quickly wrap her arm with his, and they walk towards the castle together, Crystal's face now bright red.

"Let me show you where you'll be staying," Red says, as Green and Blue lead Silver towards the guest rooms.
"Lead the way," Crystal says, and as Red is about to follow his siblings, his father stepped in.
"Oh, I'm sorry! There aren't any open guest rooms open!"
"Why's that?" Crystal asks, as Red takes a deep breath, rolling his eyes.
"I forgot to take into account your parents coming to visit, and I have to give them your room, so you'll be sharing Red's room," Red's father says casually as he walks off.
"Follow me Princess," Red says, as he makes a 360 degree turn, with Crystal still holding Red's arm.
They approach a room that has red paint on it. Red opens it, allowing Crystal to go in first. She gasp as she absorbs what she sees.
A king sized bed in the middle of the room, with a drawer and a closet. There's a guitar sitting in a corner of the room, and a large broken mirror across from the bed. There's a door with a large window that leads to the balcony, allowing for sunlight to flood the room.
This is not what Crystal expected.
His room is simple, but elegant, if you ignore the mirror.
"Thank you Yellow," Red says, as she brings them in the room. She nods her head, avoiding eye contact. Once she's gone, Red quickly closes the door, accidently slamming it and causing Crystal to jump.
"Sorry for scaring you. But I just want to apologize for my father. He's just so set for this arranged marriage thing, and forgets what personal space is. So here's what we're gonna do: go ahead and make yourself at home. You're gonna sleep on the bed, while I'll sleep on the floor, or something. I'll figure it out later but you'll get the privacy you deserve, don't worry!"
Crystal smiles.
"Thank you for being such a gentleman."
"It's the right thing to do, and it's what my mother taught me."
"Pika?"
Both Red and Crystal turn to the bed, and there is Pika, waking up from his midday nap.
"Is that your Pikachu?" Crystal squeals, as she dives on the bed, nearly landing on Pika.
"Careful, he's not exactly very... social."
Red pauses as Pika coos under Crystal's touch. She's scratching on the side of his neck and Pika's absolutely loving it.
Red's surprised.
Pika hates being touched by strangers, and takes alot for him to open up to anyone. The only people that he allows to pet him is Red, Green, Yellow, and apparently now Crystal.
"Wow. Pika rarely lets strangers pet him. You must be one of a kind," Red says, as he lays next to Crystal ok the bed and starts petting Pika as well.
"Well, I kinda am," Crystal says with a smirk.
As they're both petting Pika, their hands gently touch against each other.
This time, both the Prince and Princess blush.
