Y immediately lunges for King Roman. He blocks her attack with his shield, then unsheathes his sword and slashes at Y, forcing her back. He unleashes his two signature Pokémon: Nidoking and Arcanine. Y unleashes Grenninja in response.

"Red! Protect our people! I'll take care of this wench!" King Roman orders as he and his Pokèmon go on the offensive.

Red acknowledges his father, but does not move.

Screams fill his ears as he watches men in black swipe their swords at his guests. He watches as their lifeless bodies fall to the ground, blood slowly oozing out. It's until Silver comes into view he snaps back into reality.

"Silver!" Red yells as Silver pushes an invader off of a guest. Silver looks over to Red, who gestures him to come over. Silver nods, and as he's about to make his way over, he is surrounded.

Silver shrugs and pulls out a Pokéball, unleashing Feraligatr. Feraligatr roars and blasts their enemies away with a Hydro Pump.

"Green! Get these people out of here! Blue, cover her!"

The twin nod in acknowledgment as they rush to fulfill their orders.

Red looks down and Crystal is holding her mother, sniffing as she attempts to hold back her tears.

"What is going-"

Silver goes silent and his eyes widen as he recognizes his mother.

"Silver. I need you to get them to safety," Red says.

Silver nods.

"Everything will be ok. I promise," Red reassures Crystal as he squeezes her shoulder then takes to join the fray.

Red knocks one of the invaders into the ground, when in the corner of his eye he spots one of them sneak up a set of stairs.

"Ash!" He calls.

"Red!"

Ash rushes over, with Pikachu on his shoulder.

"Have you seen Serena? I can't-"

"Ash, listen. I need you to help Green get everyone out of her. As soon as you're done, go up those set of stairs. These guys are up to something and I need to find out what it is," Red says.

Ash opens his mouth to protest, but decided against it and nods.

"Good."

Red says as he runs up the stairs and Ash hesitantly searches for Green.

...

"Where are we going?" Serena asks as she and Trevor rush up the stairs.

"Uh, I'm not sure. But I'm trying to find a good place to set up the package," Trevor explains as they approach the balcony. There, X is watching the carnage down below.

"X!" Serena yells as she runs up to him. He smiles at her.

"Hello. Sorry for ending your party early. Did you at least enjoy yourself?" X asks.

Serena nods.

"Good. You two stick together and find a place for the package. That's our way out."

"Yes sir. Let's get going Serena!" Trevor yells as he runs down a hallway. Serena doesn't move and stares at X.

"What? I'll be fine. I'll watch your backs. Just promise to make it back safe," X says.

"I promise if you do," Serena answers, causing X to sigh.

"Fine. I promise."

"Good. I'll see you soon," Serena says as she turns and rushes to catch up with Trevor. A minute after Serena runs off, a member of the Lucario Legion walks up to X.

"Sir, everything is going to plan. Do you need assistance with anything?" He asks.

"Yes, hold that thought," X says as he continues to watch from the balcony.

The Kalosian-Sinnohian forces have rounded up the remaining guests and work staff into a corner, and are about ready to start cutting them down. But Yellow is on the other side of the room, rushing to a rope with a knife in hand. She cuts down the rope, causing one of the smaller chandeliers to fall on majority of the Kalosian-Sinnohian forces.

X drops a Pokémon, unleashing his Chesnaught.

"Marisso, bring that girl up here."

Marisso grunts in acknowledgment as he uses Vine Whip. His vines wrap around Yellow's neck and quickly bring her to the balcony, dropping her in front of the two men. Yellow coughs as she gasps for air.

"You saw what she did. Do what you will to her," X says as he returns Marisso, and looks back onto the bottom floor. He pulls out another Pokéball and keeps it in his hand, rubbing it with his thumb.

"Hey there. You're really pretty. How about I show you a good time," the man says as he pins Yellow on the ground and attempts to spread her legs open.

"No! Please! Stop! Help!" Yellow pleads as she struggles in vain to escape.

Meanwhile, Red is making his way up the stairs. As he does, he finds a fallen guard on the ground. His shield and spear lay on the ground.

"Oh Arceus," Red whispers as he keeps himself from gagging and reaches for the spear.

"I'm sorry," Red mutters as he continues to the top. Once there, Red spots two men on the balcony. One is watching down on the lower floor while the other has a women pinned down.

"Help!"

Red gasps.

It's Yellow.

Red immediately launches his spear straight at the man holding Yellow down. He throws it so hard it goes halfway through the man's body and leaves it hanging on the wall. The man struggles to breath, then he goes limp.

"Are you ok?" Red asks as he rushes to Yellow's side. Red helps her to her feet and Yellow wraps her arms around him.

"Thank you! Thank you so much!" Yellow says as tears fall from her eyes.

"Shh, it's ok Yellow. Just grab everyone you can and head to your quarters. Can you do that?" Red asks. Yellow nods as she wipes away her tears.

"Good. Now get out of here. Things are going to get messy," Red explains as he points his sword at X.

"Y-yes sir. Thank you," Yellow whispers as she runs away.

X eventually turns around and observes the dead body hanging on the wall.

"I'm impressed. That was a pretty hard throw. Makes me wonder how many men you've killed," X comments.

Red's face goes pale. He realizes that he did indeed just kill a man.

"Oh, not many huh? Well, do not worry. The first is always the hardest. Just like anything else, it gets easier as you do it more often," X says as he unsheathes his sword.

"And I hope for your sake you're able to do it again," X says as he slashes at Red, initiating their battle.

...

"Gah!" Y screams as her back makes contact with the wall. She quickly recovers and rolls to the left, barely avoiding King Roman's sword.

"Not so tough after all, are you wench?" King Roman says as he slashes at her. Y dodges them with ease. He manages to shove her away with a slam of his shield.

"Nidoking!"

Nidoking roars as he charges straight at Y.

"Grenninja!" She cries, as she raises her arm up. But nothing happens. She looks over and watches as Arcanine has Grenninja in his jaws and Grenninja is struggling to get out. Her eyes widen in fear as Nidoking is second away from making contact.

"Kanga!"

A Kangaskhan deliveries a Comet Punch to Nidoking, knocking him to the ground.

Y sighs with relief.

"Thanks Kanga."

Kanga nods, then turns back to Nidoking. Y looks up to the balcony, and sends X a silent thank you.

This is taking longer than expected, Y thinks as she turns back to King Roman, who is panting.

But the longer the battle plays out, the higher her chances to succeed.

Y let's out a battle cry as she restarts her assault.

...

As they're locked in a fierce battle, Red spots Ash in the corner of his eyes. Ash slowly creeps up and points towards the hallway. Red subtly gestures to the hallways and Ash nods. So he sneaks past X and Red, and begins run down the hallway Serena and Trevor went through earlier.

...

"Help!" Serena cries as she runs towards two guards.

"Get away miss. We will take care of him," the guards reassure as they aim their spears at Trevor, who is on the ground tinkering with a box. Just as Serena is about to pass the guards, she pulls out her knife, slides on her knees and slices one of the guard's behind the knee. The guard falls and yells in pain. He tries to get up, but the weight of his armor keeps him down.

"What are you doing? We're trying to help you!" The guard screams.

Serena responses by climbing up his armor and holding the knife against his neck.

"Then do me a favor and go to sleep," Serena mutters as she drives the knife into his throat.

She turns and rolls away, avoiding the spear from the other guard.

"Braixen, use Fire Blast," Serena orders as Braixen appears at her side and quickly sends off the attack, engulfing the guard in fire. The guard eventually stops screaming, and the only sound is the fire consuming the body.

Serena lets out a sigh and fall to her knees. Braixen walks to her trainer and gives her a hug.

"Thanks Braixen. I still get shaken up when I do things like that," Serena admits as she pets Braixen.

"Alright, we are all set!" Trevor says as he wipes his hands. He frowns once he spots Serena on the ground.

"Are you ok? You're not hurt, are you?" He asks.

"Oh no, I'm fine. No matter how many times I do this, I can't get over this feeling in my chest. What is wrong with me?"

Trevor helps Serena to her feet.

"Nothing is wrong with you. When you feel nothing at all, that's when you should be worried," Trevor says as Serena returns Braixen to her Pokéball.

"Why is that?"

"Feeling guilty, sorrow, or any emotion in general is part of being human. Once that's gone, you have lost your humanity," Trevor explains as he suddenly loads an arrow in his bow.

"Someone is coming," he whispers.

"Pikachu, come on!" A voice barely audible says.

Serena gulps.

"Oh no. This can't be happening. I thought Ash wouldn't see me like this."

"Ash? Your date?"

Serena nods.

"What did you expect would happen?" Trevor asks.

"That I would disappear and we would never see each other again."

"That isn't much better."

"But it's better than the truth," Serena whispers as she shakily holds her knife and points it towards the doorway as footsteps get closer.

Just as Ash is about to walk in, Trevor puts away his weapon, grab Serena's knife and quickly grabs her, covering her mouth and aims the knife at her neck.

Serena immediately begins to panic and gives off muffled screams.

"Serena?" Ash says as he comes into the room, and spots Trevor holding Serena hostage.

"Don't come any closer!" Trevor warns. Serena continues to wiggle but Trevor just tightens his grip.

"Don't worry Serena! It's going to be ok!" Ash yells as he points his sword at Trevor and Pikachu tried to creep from the side. Trevor spots him, but doesn't react.

Serena continues to scream, still confused.

"Your welcome," Trevor whispers in her ear.

Serena then connects the dots, and stops struggling. She then makes eye contact with Ash, who has fear in his eyes.

"Let her go!" Ash yells.

"Or else what? You're going to have your Pikachu shock me? Good idea, you'll only kill both of us!" Trevor counters.

"If you want the girl, let me get out!"

Ash grits his teeth. He doesn't want Serena to get hurt, but he can't let that man get away.

"Only if you tell me what you're doing here!"

"You are in no position to make demands," Trevor responds by pressing the blade against Serena's skin, drawing blood. She screams and attempt to break free once more.

"Fine! Just don't hurt her!"

"Then drop the sword!"

Ash obeys, and gently puts the sword on the ground and kicks it away from him. Trevor then slowly begins to walk towards Ash.

"I'll see you on the other side," Trevor whispers.

"Mhm?" Serena mumbles, confused to what Trevor is saying. That's when he shoves Serena forward, knocking her into Ash. Ash catches Serena, but is knocked into the ground.

"Pikachu, Thunderbolt!"

"Pika!"

Pikachu immediately launches the attack towards Trevor. In that split second, Trevor manages to dodge the attack, causing it to hit the package instead. The package explodes, shaking the entire castle, and causing the floor holding the room to give out. The three young adults and Pikachu proceed to fall towards the first floor, hoping not to be buried by rubble.
