Serena happily skips along the trail leading into the forest.

She can't believe it!

She's actually going to go on a date! She didn't think she would live long enough to do so!

Serena continues to skip until she reaches the outskirts of town. She then stops when a fork in the road appears. She's about to go left when she hears a familiar Pokémon chirp, bringing a smile to her face.

"Fletchling! What are you doing here?" Serena asks as Fletchling appears from a tree.

Fletchling chirps happily as he flies in circles above Serena. He then begins flying down the left side of the fork.

"Hey! Wait up!" Serena cries as she chases after him.

"Whoa. Is that where everyone is at?" Serena asks.

Fletchling nods and goes into a little hole in a tree. He pokes inside, and a red light absorbs him, and ends up into his Pokèball.

Serena goes over and grabs the Pokéball, then looks over towards the building. There's a sign that says "Heavenly Stay".

"There's a weird name for a hotel," Serena mutters as she makes her way towards the door.

As she walks in, she's greeted by lots of noise, mostly made up the voices of men.

She looks to her right, and finds a bar. Towards the left is a set of stairs. Everywhere there are women half naked either serving or trying to seduce the many men in the room.

Oh my Arceus, this is a whore house!

Serena hides her look of disgust.

"Hey you!"

Serena turns towards the voice, and she sees the bartender flagging her down. She cautiously makes her way over.

"Yes?"

"What is your favorite Pokémon?"

Serena lifts her eyebrows, but answers his question.

"I don't have one."

The bartender nods.

"X is waiting for you in room 73 on the second floor," he says as he turns back to his many thirsty customers.

Oh, I see, Serena thinks as she makes her way over to the stairs, avoiding contact with anyone.

She makes it up the stairs, and begins counting the room numbers.

"57, 59, 61, 63, here it is!" Serena says to herself as she opens the door. Inside, she is greeted by a man in bed with one woman under each of his arms. They may be under the covers, but it's obvious they are wearing nothing underneath.

"Do you wanna join us?" The man asks with a smirk on his face.

Serena instantly begins to blush and runs out the room, slamming the door shut.

"I can't believe that just happened," Serena mutters, as she makes her way to the correct room.

Once outside room 73, she knocks on the door. Shauna appears in the doorway.

"Serena! You're back!" Shauna exclaims as she pulls her in the room.

"Hey! I missed you," Serena says as she chuckles awkwardly.

"I missed you too! But how was your first mission?" Shauna asks as she lets go of Serena and flops on the bed.

Trevor is in a desk in a corner, reading and writing while muttering some words in Kalosian. Tierno is looking in the mirror, dancing in front of it.

"Oh Shauna, you wouldn't believe it!" Serena begins as she tell Shauna everything from the beginning.

"Oh my Arceus, you got a date! You have to go!"

"I really want to Shauna, but what am I supposed to wear? I don't have any nice dresses with me!"

"Oh well, looks like you can't go," Tierno comments as he sits in a chair.

Serena frowns.

She'll go with the attire she has on if she has to, but she would love to fit in and feel like a princess for once.

"Here," Trevor says, lifting up a close fist, but still not looking away from his book. Confused, Serena makes her way over.

"Stick your hand out," Trevor says. Serena obeys and he drops several Kantoian coins in the palm of her hand.

"Trevor! How in the world did-"

"I'm in charge of the money. I'm sure X and Y won't notice a few missing coins. Besides, you can pick up some food while you go out shopping," Trevor says as he continues his work.

"Oh my gosh, thank you so much!" Serena says, hugging Trevor. He then for the first time looks up from his work and smiles at Serena.

"It's nothing. Everyone deserves to have a little fun."

"Well, Serena, just cause you can get the dress now doesn't mean you're allowed to go!" Teirno says.

"Don't be such a Muk!" Shauna yells as she rushes over to Serena.

"Please let me help you get ready! I can help you look amazing!" Shauna says.

"Of course! Maybe then I can get closer to him!"

"Closer to who?"

The room goes silent as everyone turns and watch as X and Y both enter the room, with Y fixing her skirt as she enters.

"Serena is trying to go to the dinner tonight. She managed to seduce some knight," Tierno spits out.

"Tierno!" Shauna yells, as she throws a knife from her belt at him, nearly piercing his throat.

"Is this true?" Y asks as she looks at Serena. Serena gulps then nods.

Y looks over to X.

X shrugs.

"Let her go. There's no reason for her not to," He says.

Y stares at the ground for a moment, then sighs.

"Fine."

"Yes! Thank you! Now I gotta go-"

"No you don't," X says, interrupting Serena.

"I need you to come with me. I promise it won't take long," X says.

"Why me? Can't you take someone else?" Serena whines.

"Trevor needs to do his research. I don't like Tierno. Men will be constantly trying to sleep with Shauna and Y. And you were the one who did the scouting," X explains.

Serena sigh, then follows X as he heads towards the door.

"Where are we going?" Serena asks.

"Room 63."

Serena begins to blush as she instantly recalls the incident that happened earlier today. But she keeps her mouth shut and follows X to the room. He knocks on the door three times. The door opens and the two women from before exit the room, now fully dressed. X and Serena then enter the room and find a man with brown hair wearing a white tunic and black pants fitting his belt.

"Seems like we came in right after your fun," X says.

"Oh, you know it X," the man says, as he looks up.

"Well well. Looks like you couldn't stay away, huh?" The man says as he spots Serena behind X.

X automatically puts his arm in front of Serena.

"Oh don't worry X, I didn't do anything to her. She just accidentally walked in earlier," he says as he makes his way to a wooden table in the corner of the room.

X chuckles as he puts his arm down and leads Serena to the table.

"I'm Gold by the way," Gold says as he pulls out a few glasses and a bottle.

"Serena," Serena answers as he places a glass in front of her.

"So tell me, what brought you to Kanto?" X begins as Gold pours a gold liquid into our glasses.

"I could ask you the same question, considering you're from Kalos. You have no reason to be here," Gold says with a grin.

X shrugs as he grabs his glass.

"True, but I asked first," he says, as he takes a sip.

Gold chuckles as he grabs his glass and puts his feet on the table.

"I'm here for the wedding," he says as he drinks.

Serena gives X a puzzled look. She's confused on why they're talking to Gold. He doesn't seem all that special. X nods at her as she takes a sip.

"Believe it or not Serena," X begins as he puts his glass down.

"Gold is the best Pokemon trainer from Johto."

Serena nearly spits out her drink.

"Wow, so much doubt in me already sweetie? I'm hurt," Gold says as he grab his chest.

"But it's funny. That's the reason why we're here too," X says.

Gold's smile suddenly disappears. He quickly sits up.

"We're here to take out King Roman and finally get the freedom Kalos deserves," X says.

"And what does that have to do with me?"

"Well, I was wondering if you would like to aid us," X suggests.

Gold looks at X, then at Serena, who is still coughing.

Gold's sudden serious vibe disappears and his cheerful self returns.

"Thanks for the invite, but I'm gonna take a pass," Gold says taking another drink.

Serena looks over at X who stares at Gold.

"What? It isn't my fight. Plus, Johto and Kanto are in good terms right now, and I would like to keep it that way. And I promise I won't say anything so don't you worry," Gold promises.

"Good," X says as he stands up and Serena quickly does the same. They begin to walk towards the door.

"But I will give you a warning though," Gold says, stopping X and Serena in their tracks.

"If I find a single scratch or a misplaced hair on Princess Crystal or anyone from Johto's Royal family, I will personally kill every single one of you,"Gold says with a smile as he puts his feet back up on the table.

X gently pushes Serena in front of him as they head out the room.

"That went well," Serena comments as they make their way downstairs.

X shrugs.

"Where to now?" Serena makes.

"To the bar. We're going to meet with Riley."

"Am I supposed to know who that is?" Serena asks.

"No."

As they make their way to the bar, Serena noticed that most of the men at the bar are dressed the same; they are all wearing black pants and shirt with a blue cloak and hat.

"Who are these people?" Serena whispers.

X sighs.

"If I would've known you would ask so many questions I would've let you leave," X groans as we approach a man at a table, sipping slowly at his drink.

"Riley," X says as he takes the seat across from him. Serena sits in between them at the square table.

"Xavier," Riley answers, putting his drink down.

Serena gasps.

No one calls X by his real name. Ever.

"Do you have any news?" Riley asks.

"No. We just made it safely to Kanto, and we had Serena here scout the castle," X says, gesturing at Serena. Serena bows her head.

Riley reaches into the pocket of his jacket, and pulls out a folded piece of paper along with a pencil.

"Write down every single detail you can remember about the palace. Add any landmarks or details that may be useful," Riley orders as he places the items in front of Serena. Serena looks at X, and he nods. She then begins to write.

"How was your journey? Everything go smoothly?" X asks.

"It was excellent," Riley says, a big grin appears on his face.

"So the plan to attack on the wedding day is still on then?"

Riley doesn't answer as he looks out towards the rest of the men in the bar.

"No."

"What?" X yells, he fists slamming on the table. Some of Riley's drink spills on the table.

"Don't use that tone with me Xavier. First and final warning," Riley says, wiping the table with a napkin. Serena stares at X, who has a scowl on his face.

"As I was saying, no, because there is a change of plans," Riley continues, taking a drink.

"What is the reason?" X asks.

Riley looks over to Serena, who hands him the paper. He takes a quick glance, nods, then puts it in his pocket.

"Follow me," Riley says as he stands up and walks towards the back door. X and Serena follow. They come out to a wooden area, with the sun in the middle of the sky.

Riley lets out a whistle.

"A Starly call," X comments.

Someone returns the call.

They enter the forest, and follow a small trail that lead them to a cave. A man walks out, wearing the similar black and blue attire that everyone in the bar is wearing.

"Sir," the man says.

"Take a break. I'll watch the cargo," Riley says, shooing the man away. They make their way inside.

X gasps. Serena stares at him, confused.

"Oh my Arceus, that's Queen Ana," X mutters.

"Queen Ana? Isn't that-"

"The Queen of Johto isn't so mighty when she has to fight her own battles," Riley says, shrugging.

The Queen is laying on the floor, her dress in shreds. There is dried up red and white stains all over it, and her face is covered in bruises. Her eyes are closed, and she's huddled in a ball, shaking.

"Oh my gosh, what did they do to you?" Serena whispers.

"We found them travelling here for the wedding. I want to use her to make a statement to Johto, and since I don't want to feed her," Riley begins as he looks to X and Serena.

"We are attacking the Royal Families tonight," Riley says.

Serena's heart drops, wondering what in the world she is going to do now.
