Not Enough Words

"Dean?" Sam popped his head in the door. "The spell's ready." Dean nodded lightly. Sam went downstairs, Dean following him. He had Cas in his arms bridal style. He looked down at him with a heartbroken look. He gave him a kiss on the forehead.

"Come on, you little angel. Let's get you fixed up, huh?"

The spell required Cas to be placed in a ring of holy fire. After a short incantation, the grace would need to be removed. Dean sat in the circle, holding Cas in his arms. Sam lit the ring on fire, and began the incantation.

"Angelus sanandum,

Ex gratia.

vivat, ut cras," As Sam continued the spell, Cas opened his eyes.

"Dean?" He rasped.

"Cas, what is it?"

"Can't.... Not enough words. There aren't enough words...to tell you...how I feel." Dean felt a tear roll down his cheek.

"Oh, Cas. I love you." Cas was about to say it back, but he couldn't get the words out of his mouth. Dean leaned in and pressed his lips against Cas's. Cas kissed him back. They were interrupted by Sam.

"Dean! It's time!" Dean looked into Castiel's beautiful eyes and grabbed his angel blade.

"You're my angel. And I won't lose you."

And in a brilliant flash of white light, he removed the grace, praying and praying that it worked.
