Mary's pov

Titus brings us to the place where all the Natblida were getting ready to the conclave. Lexa's body was covered in the centre of the room, around some candles "they're just kids" Murphy whispers as Clarke walks towards Aden

"I am sorry to disturb you" Clarke tells him "would you like a moment with her?" Aden asks her "no. I am here to see you"

"You made me a promise to support my people" Clarke says "if Heda's spirit chooses me" Aden says "yes. Will you still?" Clarke asks

"We all will. Lexa made each of us vow it" Aden says as the other Natblida stands up and nods towards Clarke "what the-" Murphy says before u hits him, cutting him off

"We loved her" Aden says before we hear someone comes in "out of our way"

"You..." Ontari says before she attacks Clarke, Aden tries to stop her but she shoves him. I tries to stop Ontari as well, but Roan stops me, grabbing me and putting a knife to my neck "hey!" Murphy says

Ontari pulls out a knife, about to stab Clarke. But Titus grabs Ontari's hand "no"  

"Put the knife down, Ontari" Roan says as he lets go of me and walks towards her "are you okay?" Murphy asks, I simply nods "your mother is dead because of her" Ontari says

"You will obey your king" Roan says "an unfortunate fact we gave her to thank for as well. No matter. When I am Heda and the king bows to me... you and every last member of Skaikru will die" Ontari says

"You do not belong here" Titus says as we enters the flame keeper's room "really? Well, that's my blood decorating your floor" Murphy says

"There's nothing left for you in Polis. Why have you not gone?" Titus asks "that's what I'd like to know" Murphy says

"We need to talk about Ontari. She wasn't trained here. Why would you let her in the conclave?" Clarke asks

"Ontari has the blood of the commanders. It is her birthright to compete for the flame" Titus says as he was holding the flame

"Is she really in there?" Clarke asks "of course she is" Titus turns to face Clarke before he puts the flame back in his pod and closes it

"Why does it matter who wins? I mean, if your girlfriend is really is in that thing then we have nothing to worry about" Murphy asks

"If Ontari will win, she won't listen to Lexa. I don't think she's doing all of that for the faith" I says

"Look, let's just get out of here while we can" Murphy says "I've served four commanders as Flame keeper. None or them half as wise or strong as Lexa kom Trikru" Titus starts 

"But the truth is she was all those things even before ascension. The Flame deepens what's already there. If the spirit of the Commander should choose Ontari, the ice nation control everything, and Skaikru will face her wrath" Titus adds

"Not, really a silver lining type of guy, is he?" Murphy whispers "so how do we make sure Aden wins? He was Lexa's choice. You know that" Clarke says

"And she will choose him" Titus says before we hears distant horn blowing "what's that?" Murphy asks "the victory horn" Titus says as he walks away, we all follows him

"What's going on?" Clarke asks Roan as Titus storms into the room. Roan shushes her

We all looks at Ontari. She was sitting on the commander's chair "what is the meaning of this?" Titus asks. I gasps as I sees Ontari lifting Aden's head. She cut Aden and all of the other kids head off

"Aden!" Clarke says about to walk towards her "if she sees you, she'll have your head, too" Roan stops Clarke

"Clarke, I think we should get out of here" Murphy says "I think I am about to throw up" I says as the crowd was chattering

"Mae, you good?" Murphy asks before Ontari throws Aden's head on the floor "I win" Ontari says

"If I was good until now, I am definitely not now" I whispers to Murphy sharing a stressed and scared look with him

"Slow down, Roan. We need to talk to Titus" Clarke says as Roan was leading us to a tunnel to get out of Polis "trust me, right now your friend, Titus, is on his knees in front of Ontari" Roan says

"No. There's no way that he'll support someone who hacked the head off children while they slept" Clarke says

"Yeah, those children were marked for death, anyway" Roan says "you'll support her too?" Clarke asks

"She's ice nation" Roan says "whatever is best for your people, is that it?" Clarke asks "that's it. Kind of like killing every man, woman and child in Mount Weather was best for yours" Roan says

"That's not a bad point" Murphy says "shut up, Murphy" Clarke says as I hits him "tunnel's through here" Roan says

"Okay, great. Thank you" Murphy says as he walks towards the tunnel "I saved your life again. My debt to Lexa for sparing mine's now paid. Next time you see me, it won't be as friends" Roan says before he walks away

"Yeah, I don't think he likes us very much" I says as Clarke stands still "we are not leaving, are we?" Murphy asks

"Not without the flame" Clarke says as she walks away "sometimes I think she's searching for a suicide missions" I says to Murphy before I follows her

"And we're following her, doing the same thing as her" Murphy says making me turn around "but we always end up alive, I guess she's doing a good job" I shrugs before I keeps going and Murphy follows as well

"Have I mentioned that I hate that idea?" Murphy says "you complain about a lot of things it's head to catch up" I says "we can't let Ontari has the flame" Clarke says "you want to steal from Ontari? You didn't see Aden's head?" I says

"Mary" Clarke says "what? I personally love my head" I says "I love your head" Murphy says before I glares at him "what?" He asks

"It's something so weird to say" I says "you just said it" he says "yeah, about myself" I says "you're saying you don't like my head?" He asks

"No- I just mean I love your eyes or nose or mouth or hair or features but not your head, you just sounds like a serial killer when you says it like that" I says "you're the one making that weird" he says making me roll my eyes

"Guys! Come on, he keeps it on his pod. Just stay there, I'll be quick" Clarke says before she enters Titus's room

"So, when we'll get out of here..." I says "if we'll get out" Murphy jokes "come on" I glares at him "yeah, sorry. Continue" he says

"Are we still together? I know it's not exactly the time to talk about it but I don't know what will happen with Pike and everything when we'll get back" I says

"Hey, you'll be fine" he looks at me "I don't need the "you'll be fine" conversation" I says, all though I lies. I always need the "you'll be fine" conversations from Murphy because no matter how much I'll try to convince myself I'll be fine, when I hear it from him, is suddenly sounds true

"I need to know if you still love me" I adds "I'll always love you, Mae, no matter how long I won't see you I'll still love you" he says

"You didn't answer my question" I says "we are" he shakes his head "why are you asking?" He asks

"Because things changed" I says "is this about Mount Weather? If you think I'll stop loving you because you killed bunch of killers then you don't know me" he says

"I know you" I starts. I takes a deep breath before I continues "it's just that it's not a bunch of killers, it was also people who helped me inside Mount Weather, and also Jasper's girlfriend" I says

"Yo, did Jasper hit on a mountain chick? what's up with that?" He says "don't say it like that" I tries to hold my laugh

"I won't give a shit if you'd kill the whole world if that means you survives" he says "that's a little selfish, don't you think?" I says

"Nah, the world is a shithole anyway, you're the only good thing that came out of it" he says before he leans a kiss on my lips

"Does that answer your question?" He asks "I think it does" I says "you think?" He asks "you might need to assures me better" I says, he was about to kiss me again but Ontari interrupts

"Out of my way!" Ontari says in Trigedasleng as she shoves Murphy and throws him on the stairs "hey!" I yells before she pins me onto the wall and chokes me

"You were in two village massacres" Ontari says as I was gasping for air "Ontari, let go!" Murphy says as he stands. she does let go of me making me fall

"I am not finish with you" she says before she walks away. "Hey, come on" Murphy helps me stand up "thank you" we rushes towards the room. We sees Titus in there but not Clarke. I figured she must've hid somewhere

"How dare you bring Skaikru into the order of the Flame?" Ontari asks "it's what Lexa wanted" Titus says

"Well, Lexa is not Heda anymore" Ontari chuckles "thanks to you" she adds

"Let's get this over with" Ontari says "you must be cleansed before you ascend. Take her to the Commander's chambers perform the ritual" Titus tells Murphy

"Are you sure I am ready for that?" Murphy asks before Ontari pulls her sword out and puts it near his neck "stop talking, worm" Ontari says before she shares a look with Titus

"Wait, wait, wait, wait" I says as she walks away with Murphy "you want round two?" Ontari asks "I'll be fine, stay out of troubles" Murphy quickly says, I shakes my head as I watches him walks away

Clarke walks towards me and Titus "thank you" she says "if Ontari cuts Murphy's head off I am cutting yours" I looks at Clarke

"Murphy will be fine, we need to worry about what we're gonna do about Ontari" Clarke says

"Even Luna would be better than her" Titus says "did you just said Luna?" Clarke asks "yes. You heard the name before?" Titus asks

"Lincoln?" I asks Clarke as I remembers Lincoln talking about her "yes, he's our friend" Clarke tells Titus

"Can you find her?" Titus asks before Clark nods "then... perhaps the spirit hasn't chosen one, after all" Titus says

"I'll take you to him" Clarke says "Luna will never allow me near her" Titus shakes his head before he puts his finger on Clarke's forehead "what is going on?" I asks "this is yours now" he hands Clarke his pod

"I'll protect it with my life" Clarke says "there's a book inside. It's the journal of the first commander. When you fine Luna, you'll need it to person this ancient ritual" Titus says

"Come. Armor of past commander" Titus walks us to a cabinet full with weapons "choose something. Take the hidden passage. The tunnel will lead you to the stable. They're expecting you" Titus says

"Wait, what about Murphy? We can't just leave him" I says "I'll get him out. Your duty is to the Flame now. Flame keeper" Titus says

"This is your duty, I'll wait here for Murphy" I looks at Clarke "no, I need you" she says "for what?" I asks

"I need you by my side" she says "I promise I'll take care of Murphy" Titus says "I don't trust you, you tortured him" I says

"I had my own reasons" Titus says "Mary, we gotta go" Clarke says "I don't want to leave him again" I says

"Mary, listen to me. You gotta pull it together. Let's go" Clarke says "oh, now you're rushing to go?" I says, she rolls her eyes before she leaves

"Murphy will be okay, you have my word" Titus says. I sighs before I follows Clarke

Murphy's pov

"How much longer?" Ontari asks as she was taking a bath. I was sitting down through the window with my back to her

"Purification is a process" I says "you're not afraid of me" she says "I don't scare easily" I says

"The truth is... I think what you did was smart" I stands up and turns to look at her "a little crazy maybe, but... we do what we have to do to survive, right?" I says

"You know I plan to wipe out your people?" Ontari says "sucks for them" I says before we hears banging on the door. Ontari says something in Trigedasleng before she stands up. As she stands up I turns my gaze to the window

After she dresses up she lets the guards in. Roan walks in with Titus "the Flame keeper claims he lost the Flame" Roan says

"You. Where's is Wanheda?" Roan asks me "how would I know?" I asks "don't play games with me. I know you stop the Flame. Where is she?" Roan grabs me by me jacket and pulls me onto the wall

"She didn't steal it. I gave it to her" Titus says making Roan let go of me "where is she taking it?" Roan asks walking towards Titus

"Your mission is to pass the Flame. You wouldn't give it to her without Natblida to pass it to" Roan puts

"What about Mary?" I asks Titus "she left with Clarke" Titus says before Roan puts a sword next to Titus's throat

I get why she left, I just hoped I wouldn't gone with her. I hate being away from her, at least now I got to tell her that I still love her before she left

I don't know what will be the next time I'll see her, but I hope she knows that no matter how long it will take I'll still be in love with her.

"You can't kill him. He's the only one who can perform the ritual" I says "this abomination, will never ascend" Titus says

"Kill him" Ontari says "he's right. We need him" Roam says before Titus slits his own throat with Roan's sword saying "for Lexa" before he falls to the bathtub and dying, filling the bathtub with blood

"Announce my ascension" Ontari says "you don't have the Flame, Ontari" Roan says "don't talk to me as if I am fool, Roan. No one knows that" Ontari says

"He does" Roan referees to me "he, happens to like his head" I says "light the pyre. Burn the bitch who killed your mother" Ontari says before she takes a look at me

"And the bitch that was with her. Met the people know they have a new commander" Ontari says

"No, wait. You can't kill Mary" I says "I can do whatever I want" Ontari says "you kill Mary, you're gonna have to kill me too" I says

"That wouldn't be a problem" Roan says "bring his girl, Mary alive. Kill Wanheda. That's an order" Ontari tells Roan. He nods before he walks away

"Thank you" I says "don't thank me. She'll die eventually, like all of your people" she says before I shakes my head

"Mary is my people" I says "you don't seem like the type of person to care so much about another person" She says

"I wasn't until I met her" I says "the girl you're talking about killed three hundred people" she says "Like I said, we do what we have to do to survive" I says
