Me, Octavia and Lincoln were waiting by the gate for Pike's team to come back. When they did, they were covered with blood

"My god, look at then" I hear Abby says before Octavia runs towards Bellamy "Bellamy are you okay?" She asks

"I am fine" Bellamy says "what happened out there?" Octavia asks, but Bellamy ignores her and he keeps walking

"Lock it up" Pike says after he walks in. A lot of whispers were going around "everybody listen up. Twenty four hours ago, you selected me as your Chancellor. Every action I've taken since, and every action I will take, will be to achieve one sacred goal"

"The creation of a self sustaining, prosperous safe Aekadia" Pike says "yeah" the crowd says in unison

"This morning, on muddy field, our people paid tribute to those who have been taken from us by sending a message to the Grounders. This land is ours now" Pike says, the crowd was cheering

"Resist and you will be met by force. Fight and you will be greeted by death. Today is a new beginning. Mark it down, remember it just like the Grounders will remember it" Pike says

Octavia looks at Lincoln in concern "I don't think he realises the Grounders army can wipe us all" I says

"Mary, go to Raven" Octavia says "what?" I asks "I need to talk to Kane and do something about it" she says

"I am pissed at Raven" I says "are you serious? Did you heard what Pike said? Whatever happened between you and Raven is less important than Pike's brainwash" she says

"I don't need a babysitter" I says before she walks towards Abby "what are you doing?" I follows her

"Abby, watch over Mary" she says "I told you I don't need a babysitter" I says "come on, I could use some help in the medical" she smiles

"Fine, whatever" I shrugs before we starts walking towards the medical "how are you doing?" She asks

"Never been better, I mean after I started taking the pills everything is just perfect, you know?" I sarcastically says

"You can hate it, but it does help" she says "I don't feel any different" I says "it's 9am and you're out of your bed, I'll take that as a win" she says

"Denae is still getting worse" Jackson says as him and Abby were taking care of a patient. I was sitting down and watching them. More like Abby watching me. "keep me updated" Abby says as she notices Raven walks in

"What the hell, Abby?" Raven says "calm down. I know that you're upset" Abby says "upset?" Raven asks

"Whoa Raven, calm down" I walks up to them "I just showed up at for work and found out you fired me" Raven says

"I don't fire people" Abby says "not clearing me medically is the same damn thing" Raven says "come on, let's go sit-"

"No, I don't need to sit down my leg is fine!" Raven cuts Abby off "not it's not. And riding on patrol and working that wall are making your conditions worse" Abby says

"So, what? Do nothing? That's gonna make my leg heal?" Raven says "no, your leg is never gonna heal. Our goal is pain reduction. That's it. And if you keep pushing this hard, even that's not gonna happen" Abby says

"You can still be useful" Abby says before Raven walks away "Raven wait" I follows her "what, Mary?" She asks upset

"I am sorry about that, I didn't know she fired you" I says "oh you're sorry?" She asks "I am" I says

"If you'd be sorry you wouldn't have been dated the asshole who did this to me" she says "I know Murphy many years, I can't just erase him like that" I says

"Then you're a shitty friend" she says "I am shitty friend?" I chuckles "you told Bellamy and Monty that I tried to kill myself. I was pissed at you and I put it all away because I saw you upset" I says

"You have no reason to be upset, I did what any other good friend would do. That's another example of you now knowing what a real friend is" she says

"A real friend would let me talk to them first!" I says "you would never tell anyone" she says "that's my choice!" I says

"You know what? I was stupid for trying saving you, you are not worth it. You're ungrateful. You're just like Murphy" she says. I shakes my head as I starts feeling tears in my eyes

"Fine" I says "fine!" She walks away. I was standing there in shock for a couple of moments. I wipes my tears and get back to the medical

When I get to the medical I sees Jackson, but don't see Abby "where's Abby?" I asks "she went-" Jackson says before I hears Abby walks in, with Jaha

"Jaha" I says "Mary, it's nice seeing you" he says "where's Murphy?" I asks "he's not here" Abby says "what do you mean he's not here, where is he?" I asks

"We separated" Jaha says "how could you separate? Where the hell is Murphy?" I snaps "don't worry about John, the boy is a fighter" Jaha says

"Any others? You left with 12 people, Thelonious" Abby says "is Murphy alive?" I asks "the last time I saw him he was" Jaha says. I smile a smile of relief before I walks away

"Where are you going?" Abby asks "I am going after him" I says "no you are not, it's too dangerous" she says

"Screw that, Murphy is out there" I says before Kane walks in, he hugs Jaha "we'll talk about this later, but you're not leaving camp" Abby says, I shakes my head before I walks away

Murphy's pov

I was lying on the ground on the side, pretending to be dead. I was waiting for a person to fall for it and try to steal some clothes. Emori though me this, she's waiting in the bushes to jump whoever find me

I hear footsteps, the person was calling out before he steps closer to me. He flips me, probably was making sure if I were dead

He says something in Trigedasleng as he was untying my shoe. I was wondering where is Emori, she was supposed to jump him by now.

But before the man could take off my shoe, he freezes, and then I hear her voice. She was speaking Trigadersleng as I opens my eyes and slowly gets up

"Took you long enough" I says. The man says something that make Emori angry because she knocks him down after he said that.

"What did he say?" I asks "he said you're cute for a thief" she says. I awkwardly chuckles. I told Emori a couple of times nothing will happen between us, but she still flirts with me sometimes

Don't get me wrong, Emori is great. She helps me to survive, and I help her. But I love Mary. Even though I didn't come back to Arkadia, she still has a place in my heart

I just think that she's better off without me. I mean, when I was with her, everything was falling apart for her.

I know that she'd do better without me. I don't want to ruin things for her, I just want her to be happy

When you love someone, that deep, it can be dangerous. I guess I am still scared of loving someone that deeply

But I am right, she'd die for me and I'd die for her any chance I'd get. And she deserves someone better to feel this for. Someone that will make her a better person, I am the opposite.

"Let's get out of here" Emori says before we steals the Grounder's cart and walks away

"So where do you want to head next? North? South? I mean, we've been on a heck of a roll" I says as I was packing a bag

Me and Emori are at some cage we found on the way. We were staying here for the night

"I want to go after my brother" she says "we've talked about this" I turns to look at her "Otan's with Jaha at camp. Why would you want to go there?" I walks towards her

"He's my brother. If there's a change, I have to try and get him back" Emori says. She was sounding like Mary

"Going after Otan's not a good move" I says "John-" she says "it's not a survivor's move" I cuts her off

"Then wait for me. I'll come back" she says. I smiles, this sentence was a lie, not intentionally but I know this world too well to know it's not true "In this world, when people leave they don't come back" I says

"I did" she says "not for me, you didn't. I just so happens to be there" I says "John, come with me" she says, I takes a second to look at her before I answers "I am not that stupid" I shakes my head

I realised that I need to survive by my on now. I walks through the woods until I sees some dead bird. I takes some blood and put it on my face.

"I'd do a much better job of making you look dead" Emori says from behind making me jump.

"Your brother-" I stands up and face her "it can wait, until I can convince you to join me" she cuts me off "which I will" she adds before we hears a Grounder yelling and a horse whinnying

"Perfect timing" I says before I goes laying on the Ground. Emori goes to hide. The Grounder stops, he pulls me up and starts speaking Trigedasleng.

I realises I recognise him, we stole from him a couple of days ago, but he wasn't alone. There was a few Grounders with him

"We know you're not alone, where is the girl?" He asks "she left" I lies "find her. On your knees" he pulls me down

"You have been caught stealing in the Commander's woods. The punishment for this is death. I'll asks you once more. Where's the girl?" He asks as he puts his knife towards my neck

"Go float yourself" I says, he was about to slash my neck but then his friend stops him. He raises the key Jaha gave me to the city of light

"Where did you get this?" He asks "I guess if you kill me now, you'll never find out" I smirks to the fact that he can't kill me right now. I guess it wasn't my time yet.

"On your feet" he grabs me "move" he says as he walks me. I have no idea to where

Mary's pov

I was in the Medic, Abby was giving me my pills "you're doing good, Mary" she says "yeah, yeah" I says before I walks away

"Mary" Jaha stops me as I was on my way to my room "what, Jaha?" I asks as I turns to face him "come, sit with me" he grabs my shoulder as we walks to some bench outside and sits down

"What?" I asks "did you hear about the city of light?" Jaha asks "I heard about your little fantasy" I says

"It's not a fantasy, Mary" he says "why did Murphy separate from you?" I questions "Murphy didn't understand the power of the city of light" he says making me chuckle

"Even Murphy thinks it's bullshit. That's why he left you" I says "I am not the only one Murphy has left behind" he says "go float yourself" I says

"Murphy is alive, he didn't want to come back to Arkadia" he says "he has his own reasons" I says "I guess that he prefer his reasons more than you" he says

"You think that's supposed to convince to me to go to the city of light?" I laughs "I saw your file. Two failed attempts, depression. I don't have to be a genius to see that you're in pain" he says

"Yeah, this sounds illegal" I says "you're upset" he says "you looked through my file, have you heard about privacy?" I says "it must be hard for you" he says

"You know nothing about me" I says "I know that you're suffering from trauma, the city of light cures that. Heals. You shouldn't have to deny it anymore" he says

"Murphy had faith in the city of light, but when he finds it, he doesn't want to go in it? Nah, I feel like there's more to it. If it was that perfect he wouldn't leave you" I says

"Maybe Murphy found something that keep away his pain other than the city of light" he says "what do you mean?" I asks

"He didn't leave alone, he left with a girl. She helped him" he says "I don't care, it's good that he's not alone" I says

I know he was trying to get to me. Probably get me joules. I hope it was true that I didn't care, but maybe that's the reason he didn't come back

He didn't come back for me because I wasn't worth it. He's better off without me and he knows it

I hope whoever he found is good for him, and treats him right, because he deserves the world

"I know you love him and waits for him, yet, he don't do the same for you. He chose to keep fighting to survive, but don't you think you deserve better than this? After all this pain, you deserve peace" he starts

"You had two failed attempts, it's clear that you are searching for a way out of this world, I am offering you a better way than suicide" he says raising the thing he calls the key to the city of light, it was some weird chip that you swallow

I've never been a fan of pills, the way you swallow them and promised a better life. The way it changes the way you think, the way it changes you

A perfect world is never perfect, only filled with lies. that's what I told Murphy before he left.

"This" I takes the chip from Jaha's hand and raising it "this is supposed to fix me?" I asks "this is supposed to give you a chance for a better life" he says

"Tell me. Can this fix the things I've done?" I asks "it can't change the reality, but it gives you a better one. Your past stays the same, but you don't feel the pain it caused you" he says

"Another reality that don't have Murphy in it" I says "he's not in this one as well. Not in yours. Waiting for him is not smart" Jaha says

"You're talking like a fucking robot. Waiting for him is not smart? Maybe, but I'd rather have emotions and want to wait for him. In a world that I don't want to, I am not myself. You don't want to give me a better life, you want to change me" I says

"No, Mary, I want to give you a change" he says "a chance that will change me. If I won't feel the pain of my past I will be cold, empty" I says

"No, it's the opposite. You'd be full of life" he says "not a real life. I'd rather die than live a life that's not mine" I says "then you will die, eventually. If you're not dead already" he says

"I guess we will both meet in hell anyway, isn't that right Chancellor?" I says before I walks away

It's actually painful to not let Emori and Murphy happen because I love them as a ship so much.

  I have been really enjoying writing Mary's own plot but I miss Murphy and Mary
