Indra walks into the flame keeper's room, Bellamy, Abby, Kane and Clarke were there. Indra stands in front of Kane, takes a few seconds to look at him before she pulls him into a hug

"Well?" Clarke asks Bellamy "you're not gonna like it" Bellamy says "when you destroyed the city of light, there were a thousand Azgeta warriors inside the city of Polis" Indra says

"Good timing" Octavia says "only way to remove them is by force" Indra says "then let's remove them" Octavia says

"Slow down. You're talking about a war" Abby says "yes. Rockline, Flokru, and Broadleaf will join Trikru without question, but we'll still be short" Indra says

"This is madness. We should be leaving with the others while we still have time" Abby says "they know where we live, they'll follow. There are 8 other clans. How do you get them to join us?" Kane says

"I can do it, but I'll need the flame" Indra looks at Clarke "no" Clarke answers "Clarke, the clans will follow whoever has the flames" Bellamy says

"Azgeda won't" Bellamy says "then we fight. That's the point" Octavia says "we can't get into another war, come on" I says "no, it's not. The point is we have no time for another fight. We have to save Roan" Clarke say

"Save him? They won't let us near by him" Octavia says "wait a second. What don't we know?" Abby asks

"The reason Alie created the city of light" Clarke says "why?" Kane asks "nuclear reaction inside power plants that survived the bombs are melting down. Radiations levels are already rising. If we can't figure out a way to fix it, all of us will be dead in 6 months" Clarke explains

Everyone got quite, which makes me uncomfortable "we're all gonna die" I tries to break the silence, earning a glare from Bellamy. I just hate this kind of silence, the shock, the serious

I know this is serious, but I hate when a moment gets serious. "Alie told you this?" Kane asks "yes" Clarke answers

"And you believe her?" Abby asks "Raven is looking into it" Bellamy says "I believe her" Clarke says

"Even if it's true, that's 6 months away. There are a thousand ice nation warriors on the street who want to kill us today" Indra says "they won't kill us" Clarke says

"How could you possible know that?" Octavia asks "because we're gonna surrender" Clarke says making all of us confused "oh, I hate your plans" I says

Kane and Indra walks with a few guards to talk with Echo while me and Bellamy were watching them. They asked to speak with Echo

We sent Octavia into the tower, Jaha helps us getting her in. Clarke and Abby also supposed to go in, meeting Octavia there.

"How is it that I always get stuck with you?" I asks Bellamy as we were looking through the front sight assembly

"You wanted to be a gunner in the first war between us and the grounder at the drop ship, since then it feels like somehow we're always together" he says "there was other gunners" I says

"You were the last one who staid in the position, you insisted to keep fighting even though we were losing" he says

"Well, I wasn't the last one. You also staid" I looks at him "we've been through a lot together, you and me" he looks at me

"I mean, you're my one true partner at crime" he adds making me chuckle "we did a lot of crimes together, that's for sure" I glances back through the front sight of my gun

"God knows I know how you feel about everything, but you have to let go" he says, suddenly when Bellamy said that, it felt different for me when other people tell me to move on

When everyone else say that I have to move on and accept everything they make it sound like it's supposed to be so easy and it makes me feel they don't know what they're talking about

But Bellamy knows what he's talking about, we did everything we did together. He both share some things we did together that were not proud of, and we both has to live with it

"I wish there was some way for us to go back and undo the past" I says "but there isn't. You can continue torture yourself or you can accept it" he says

"Accept?" I asks "yeah, Mary. Accept" he says before we sees Echo walks towards them with a few guards holding onto Jaha

After me and Bellamy knows Clarke and Abby got to Octavia we join the guards and Kane

Murphy's pov

Me and Emori were searching for my people. I spots Bellamy and Mary talking with some guards. Well, Bellamy did most of the talking, Mary was standing there seem quite and stressed, she does this thing when she's really stressed she bites her lips

The thing is that I have no idea what is happening right now with her, or what mission she is on to save Clarke. She's always on a mission to save Clarke

I can't tell her that everything will be fine. I can't hold her. I can't protect her. I hate this whole beak up thing.

"I don't like this, John" Emori says "Bellamy is right there just wait here" I says before she stops me "Mary is there too" she says

"We're not kids, okay? I can still talk to her" I walks towards them. I mean, I can still talk to her, right? It's not like we're enemies.

"Never a dull moment, huh?" I walks towards them, exchange an awkward look with Mary after she notices me

"Mary, pay attention" Indra says before Mary glances back at her "she's part of the royal guard, spies. That's why she's not marked. Very dangerous. Very loyal" I hear Indra says

"Not to the people who saved their life" Bellamy says "it's true, we helped her, she helped us. She can't just forget about it" Mary says

"Bellamy, Mary, I know how you feel about her, but you can't lose control. You offer them technology, guns, whatever it takes to keep her talking. Is that clear?" Kane asks

"I didn't agree to give them guns" Indra says "well, that's probably because you're not an idiot" I says

"Kane is not an idiot he just knows we can't get into a war. Maybe an idiot is someone who wants a war" Mary argues

"Oh so I am an idiot now?" I questions "shut up, Murphy" Bellamy says "It won't get that far. Our objective is to buy time for Abby to save the king, and if you want to help, grab a weapon, stand a post" Kane looks at me

"Take mine" Bellamy hands me a gun "we got this" Bellamy says, Mary was about to follow him but he stops her

"You can't talk with Echo armed" he says "I don't like carrying this thing anyway" Mary hands Kane her gun before her and Bellamy walks towards Echo

This is insane. Mary loves guns. Ever since we landed she loved them, it was kind of our thing.

Flashback

"Either peace or happiness, let it enfold you" I hear Mary starts ready from her notebook "what's that?" I questions. We were just lying on a blanket in our spot in the Ark

"I changed jobs and cities, I hated holidays, history, newspapers, museums, grandmothers, marriage, movies, spiders, garbage men, English accents, Spain, France, Italy, walnuts and the colour orange"

"Algebra angered me, opera sickened me, Charlie Chaplin was a fake and flowers were for pansies. Peace and happiness to me were signs of inferiority, tenants of the weak and addled mind." She looks at me after she finishes

I wasn't really sure what she's talking about or what she's reading, but I was just lying, listening to every word she was reading

"It was one verse out of a poem what was written by Charles Bukowski, 'let it enfold you," she says

"This man don't love a lot of thing doesn't he?" I asks "later on he says he actually goes from being an angry hateful man to a man with damaged saul that finds the beauty on life" I says

"You think it's possible?" I asks "it's all about how you choose to see things" she says making me chuckle

"What?" She hits me through her laugh "I don't know, you don't just magically enjoy life and love everything about it" he says

"It's not just like that, it's not some magic. He tells his journey, what can get in a few lines can tell a story of years" she says

"It is nice" I admits "did I got John Murphy to like poetry?" She gasps "shut up" I laughs "did!" She says "don't get too excited" I says, it went silence for a couple of moments before she decided to speak

"Did you ever loved someone so much that it started to hurt you so you forced yourself to hate them and everything about it?" She questions

"That's a bit specific" I says "yeah, a little bit" she says "If you love someone why would you want to hate them?" I asks "I don't know, it's stupid" she shakes her head

"Tell me" I faces her "this isn't what Charles meant but... my dad made me feel like I can't be loved so if I do love I just bail and starts hating everything , it might seem fucked up or-"

"it's not" I cuts her off "good" she says "good" I assures her. She sighs before she lays her head over my chest "I am tired"

"Close your eyes for a little while, watch the stars" I says "yeah" she mumbles

"Sorry, Mary" I mutters to myself before I starts walking towards Emori "what is it?" Emori asks

"Do you know what I said about being safe with my people? Your plan was better, let's go" I says. I couldn't stand being near Mary

She force herself to hate me, she's not herself anymore, not towards me.

Everything she talked about... she hates me. I know that deep down she don't, but it still hurt

From not being able to be a second without her I can't be next to her. That's the most painful thing I've ever felt

Mary's pov

Me and Bellamy was about to talk with Echo, mostly to drawl time for Abby and Clarke to save Roan.

"Before you say anything, remember, I saved your life by taking you out of Mount Weather. I am sorry I couldn't tell you to bring the girl, but I was following orders, Bellamy" Echo says

"I wish it was that easy" Bellamy says. A lot of Grounders around us, pointing spears and arrows on me and Bellamy

"I know how it feels to lose someone you care about to war, but we do what we do for our people. You slaughter us, we slaughter you. That all went away in the city of light" Echo says

"Okay, then let's stop the war" I says "but it's back now. So here we are" Echo says "me recognise ice nation rule, and you honour Lexa's coalition, including the 13th clan" Bellamy says

"No" Echo says "we'll give you guns and show you how to use them" Bellamy offers "Trikru accepts this?" Echo asks

"They're surely not happy about it" I says "not much they can do now, though, is there? without an army" Echo says before Bellamy glances away, taking a deep breath

"You were there. Then you know why everyone hates Skaikru and why we can never accept your terms" Echo looks at Bellamy

"You really want to get into a war? After everything? Is that what you want?" I asks "no one wants war. Lay down your guns, and we'll let your children live" Echo says

"How thoughtful" I sarcastically says "I'll give you time to decide" Echo was about to walk away but Bellamy stops her "hey..."

The Grounder got closer to us, ready to fire, but a Grounder tells them to hold their fire. "I wasn't done talking" Bellamy says before Echo punches him

"Hey!" I am about to hit Echo, but a Grounder grabs me and puts a knife to my neck. Echo puts a knife to Bellamy's neck as well

"Guns on the ground or they dies" Echo says before we hears a sound coming from the tower.

Echo rushes the tower with a few guards grabbing me and Bellamy "I don't like this, I think I'll search for a new partner in crime" I whispers to Bellamy before the guard punches me making me fall and groan in pain

"Hey!" Bellamy yells before the guard grabs me and make me stand up "keep moving" Echo says. We enters the room Octavia, Clarke and Abby was in. The guards quickly grabs them

"They were trying to kill the king!" Echo says "no. We were trying to save him" Clarke says, Echo walks towards her

"For my queen!" Echo lifts her sword, ready to kill Clarke "hold on" Roan starts coughing "Roan, help us. Tell them we're friends" Clarke says as Roan tries to get up and groans

"You shouldn't try to stand so soon" Abby says "where is Ontari?" Roan says "dead, sire. Killed by them" Echo says

"Uh, yeah, after she took the damn chip" I says before Echo puts her sword to me neck "okay, you and your guards gotta stop putting your sword to my neck" I says

"We couldn't save her. But we did what we came here to do. Now I need you to honour your promise to protect my people" Clarke says

"Yeah. That was before your people shot me and killed my commander" Roan says "we just saved your damn life" Octavia says before Echo puts her sword down and walks towards Roan

"Roan. Your people are hungry for you to lead them. Do so now as your mother would have. Kill Wanheda, take her power and rule over everything" Echo says

"Come on, there is not need for that" I says "shut up, Mary" Echo says

"You really searching for a new partner in crime?" Bellamy asks me as we were locked up in the prison in Polis

"What?" I questions "come on, I am just trying to cheer you up" he says "you're bad at it" I says "it's the count that matters" he says

"Is there a different reason why you're down other than that we're locked up in a prison of Grounders that wants us dead?" He asks

"I broke up with Murphy" I says "that explains why you two were weird earlier" he says "I am not in the mood, okay?" I says

"Since when you're not in the mood? In the most serious situation you make jokes, come on, I need the awkward silly Mary" he says

"She's dead" I says "that's dramatic" he says "you'll be fine. Murphy was troubles anyway" he adds "okay but-" I says before a few guards walks in with Echo

"Wanheda, on your feet" one of them say "where is the king?" Clarke asks "wait, Echo" I says "hey, I need to see Roan" Clarke says, they put a cloth on Clarke's head before they takes her

"Hey, hey!" Bellamy yells "No!" Abby says "wait, Echo, wait" Bellamy says "hold on!" I yells "wait, wait!" Abby says

"Echo, if you kill Clarke I'll fucking haunt you till the day that you die!" I yells before a guard punches me "fuck you, man" I says as he walks away

"Mary, do you want to get killed?" Octavia says "I swear to god Grounders just love punching me" I says "well, you did threaten Echo" Kane says "Boo hoo" I says
