"Where the hell are we?" I hear Bellamy says, I open my eyes seeing everyone else also just waking up, I looks around seeing we're in a container "my sword is gone" Octavia reaches to he back

"Guns, too" Jasper says as he helps me stand up "Clarke, the flame" I says. She checks her pocket and raises the pot, she opens it to assure the flame is here

She let out a sigh of relief before I nods at her. Octavia starts banging on the container, a few Grounders opens it before and walks towards us

"Luna" Octavia says before we all walks towards her "where is Lincoln?" Luna asks "Lincoln is dead" Octavia says

"Lincoln said that you would help us" Clarke says "did he?" Luna questions "Luna, you're the last of your kind. The last Nightblood" Clarke says

"So Lexa is dead as well" Luna realises "her spirit has chosen you to become the next commander. Titus entrusted me with the flame to give to you" Clarke says

"Then he should have told you that I left my conclave swearing to never kill again" Luna says "you don't have to kill. To lead is your birth right, how you lead is your choice. Here" Clarke walks towards Luna with the flame in her hand, Lune reaches for Clarke's hand

"I recognise the sacred symbol, but what is that?" Luna ask "this is the flame. It holds the spirits of the commanders, of Lexa. Will you take it and become the next commander?" Clarke questions, we all stands there in tensions, knowing the fate of our people depends on Luna's answer

"No" Luna closes Clarke's hand before she walks away "hey, wait" Clarke says as we all follows Luna, walking out of the container

But we all stops when we looks around seeing nothing but the ocean, we were in the middle of the ocean, not islands in our sight, no idea how far away we are from land

"Everywhere I look, there were fins. And teeth. And blood. I knew if they saw me, I'd be next, so I just floated there, waiting, praying they'd swim on, but they didn't" we hears a girl telling a story about how she survived a shark attack, or something like that, I didn't paid much of a attention.

"She's here, maybe she changed her mind" Bellamy and Clarke stands up. Clarke grabs my arms so I would go with her and Bellamy "I am coming" I groans as I get out of Clarke's grip of my arm

"The boats return at nightfall. Then you leave. Forever" Luna says "Luna, let me explain" Clarke says "I said no" Luna says

"No, you need to hear this" Bellamy steps closer to Luna, but Luna's guard slightly grabs him making him stand still. When Luna looks at Bellamy he continues

"There is something out there that is going to destroy us all" Bellamy says "whatever it is, it can't reach us here" Luna says before she walks away

"We can't force her to be the commander if she don't want to" I says "so what are we supposed to do?" Bellamy asks

"Nothing. We'll find another way" I says "there is not other way, Raven said that" Clarke says "we always think of something" I says

"I always think of something, what do you do?" Clarke asks "Clarke" Bellamy says "I risked my so many times for you ass" I says

"You risked yourself for Jasper, not for me" she says "oh, so yesterday when I walks to a fucking airlock that suffocated me it was because I was being selfish right?" I says

"You walked in there when Emerson hurt Jasper, you didn't do anything for our people, it was all just for Jasper" she says

"Well, I am not going to apologise for trying to help people I care about" I says "so you don't care what happens to our people if we don't put the flame in Luna?" She asks

"Of course I do! But Clarke, Luna don't want to do it. You can try to talk to her, but it's useless" I says "I am not willing to just give up" she says

"Since I am that useless to you, I am out. Good fucking luck" I walks away "come on, Mary" Bellamy says but I ignores him and keeps walking away

I look at Jasper staring at the girl who was telling that story "don't tell me you actually listen to this" I says "what?" He asks as he keeps looking at her, he didn't ever hear what I said. He looked fascinated

"Never mind" I smirks before I walks away, I didn't want to interrupt Jasper

"Hey" Luna stops me "oh, hi" I turns to her "you don't agree with Bellamy and Clarke" Luna says "you heard our conversation?" I asks "some of it" she says

"It's not that polite to listen to conversations" I says "I wasn't listening, I just overheard" she says "calm down, I was joking" I says making her chuckle

"Look, it's not that I don't agree, I am on the side of what's best for me people, but if we'd push you to take the flame it wouldn't help anyone. I want you to take the flame, I do. But not if you don't want to" I explains

"Why?" She asks "what do you mean why?" I asks "it's a simple question" she says "I just don't want to hurt any more innocent people" I says

"You know, this place is for people like you. For people who don't want to keep fighting, who's done killing" she says

In some way, the little village Luna created in the middle of the ocean seem like the real "city of light"

I mean, it looks like a place where they're living in peace, far away from all the war and the sorrow

And besides, ever since I was a kid, when I heard stories about Earth I loved the most the idea of the ocean. When I landed I found the ocean the most beautiful part of earth

But I didn't get to be a lot in the ocean since I don't know how to swim, I just like the look of it for now

"It does look peaceful" I confesses, she takes my hands and holds them "you're welcome here, anytime" she says

"You just told me that the boat will be here at nightfall and we'll leave forever" I says "I told that to Bellamy and Clarke, you're different" she says

"You don't know me, I killed just as much as people they did" I shakes my head "I don't know what you did, but you beat yourself up for it, that's for sure" she says

"It doesn't matter. What's the point of doing something horrible and then feeling bad for yourself? I still did something horrible" I argues "you can keep beating yourself up for what you've done in the past, or choose peace in the present" she says

"You all seem so... happy. I am thankful for your offer, but if I'll stay here I'll ruin it" I looks down "it's okay, you have until nightfall to decide" she smiles at me before she walks away

I walks back to Clarke, Bellamy and Octavia and sits down next to them "what did you talk with Luna about?" Clarke asks

"Oh, nothing useful for you" I says "guys, calm down" Bellamy says before I looks around for Jasper "where is Jasper?" I asks, Bellamy points at him, I sees him talking with the same girl who told that story about her surviving

"Jasper is actually smiling" Bellamy says "yeah" I says before Clarke looks at Luna "Clarke, let it go" Bellamy says

"We can't just leave" Clarke says "it's not like we have much of a choice" Octavia says "maybe we do" Clarke says "not again" I sighs

"What are you talking about?" Bellamy asks "I am talking about putting this into her head without asking" Clarke says

"Please tell me you're joking" I says "no way, Clarke. This isn't like Emerson, he was trying to kill us" Octavia says

"You think I don't know that?" Clarke says "Clarke, we don't have to do this" Bellamy says "yeah because we won't!" I says "lower your voice!" Clarke whispers

"We can fight, we can go back to Arkadia. We arm up" Bellamy says "fight who? It's an army of our own people. I don't like this any more than you do but if Raven is right and the code on this thing could stop Alie..." Clarke says

"Give me a better idea" Clarke adds "we have Raven, do you really think that this is the only way?" I says "Raven herself said it's the only way" Clarke says

"We'll stay here. It's the only way they'll leave you alone with her" Bellamy says "no way we're doing this, stop this!" I looks at Bellamy

"Even Alie gives people a choice" Octavia says "we gave Luna a choice. She said no" Bellamy says "and when she said no you ignore that, that's not giving someone a choice" I argues

"Why do you care more about Luna than your own people?" Clarke asks "she's nice to me. She don't know me and she's nice to me, she deserves to be treated like a human being with choices" I says

"So when it's not about Jasper you don't care who dies?" Clarke says "is this about Mount Weather again?" I asks

"She didn't mean that" Bellamy says "I guess that's what you do, right, Wanheda? The commander of death?" I says

"You're not better than me" Clarke says "you're right, I don't. But we have no threat under us here, if you do this to Luna, it's what makes the difference between you and me" I says

"The difference between us is that I am willing to do things you would never could" she says "damn right" I says

"It's not like I am killing her" Clarke says "no, you mean to do something after you told you she don't want to, that's not right either" I says

"Okay, Mary, go calm down" Bellamy says "you know what? I don't want to be a part of that" I says before I walks away. I sits down by myself for a while. I just didn't want to be a part of their plan

Not a lot of people are nice to me first they see me, and Luna did. She was nice to me before she even knew me. I respects her for that

"Someone here looks happy" I sits down next to Jasper after I sees the girl he has been talking about walking away

"Yeah, she's a nice person to talk to" he says "what's her name?" I asks "Shay" he answers "I am happy to see you happy" I says

"Really? You seems a little bit upset" he says "I had a fight with Clarke earlier" I says "been there" he says making me laugh

"10 points" he says "what?" I asks "you don't remember?" He asks "what are you talking about?" I asks

"When we were kids, I would play the Mary score; mad, angry, ruffled or yearn. So, if I notice you feel any of those emotions and I'd make you laugh, I'd earn 10 points" he explains

"I forgot about this, we were so young" I says "when you were 6 you got mad at me for that game" he says

"I really got pissed about everything, sorry about that" I says "you weren't an easy kid, I'll tell you that. But you didn't grew up in an easy home, so I can't judge you" he says, I looks down "Anyways, I just stopped counting out loud" he adds

"What do you mean out loud? You continued counting?" I laughs "yeah, every time" he laughs as well "what do you with those scores?" I asks

"I don't know, when the score are high I just feel for about myself. I actually didn't count for a long time, since Mount Weather" he says

What he just told me and him talking with that girl made me think I am maybe getting my cousin back, the talk with him yesterday also helped

It's like he's getting back to himself and moves on from Maya. I am really happy for him

"I missed you" I lays my head in his shoulder "I know, me too" he says before I looks at Octavia and Bellamy, noticing Clarke is not with them

"Shit" I quickly stands up "what's wrong?" Jasper stand up "I gotta go" I says before I runs away, I was looking around the place, searching for Luna

And then I sees Clarke talking to her, holding the flame in her hand, I runs towards them "Ascende superius" I hear Clarke says

"No!" I rushes towards them. Clarke was reaching for Luna's back neck but Luna quickly grabs Clarke and kneels her down

I reaches to them as Luna holds down Clarke "you go girl" I mumbles to myself "thank you for trying to warn me, Mary, but as you saw I don't need warning" Luna says

"Yeah, no. I definitely got that" I says as I was panting "I didn't flee the conclave because I was afraid I would lose. I fled because I knew I would win" Luna looks at Clarke

"You should be grateful, Clarke. After I was forced to kill my own brother in the first round, I was matched against Lexa in the second. Fate is funny that way, don't you think?" Luna says before she grabs the flame

"You'll get that back when you leave" Luna walks away "seriously?" Clarke looks at me "I will not let you hurt Luna" I says

"You met her a few minutes ago" Clarke says "I saw her with kids, Clarke. She was so pure. She deserves to live in peace, that's what she chose so that's what she'll get" I says

"It's not only about saving our people, it's about to save everyone" Clarke says "Alie is not Luna's fault. It's Jaha's fault, Skaikru's fault. She will not suffer from our mistakes" I says

"So you're a saint now? Sacred Mary?" She says "did you seriously made that joke about my name?" I says

"This is not funny, Mary" she says "you meant sacred Mary?" I chuckles "you never take anything seriously" she says

"I am here because you said you need me, and then you say that I am useless. You're exhausting me" I says

"I thought you'd be on my side!" She says "I am" I says "no, you're not. You defend Luna, you warn Luna, you just met her and you care more about her than you care about me" she says

"That's not true" I shakes my head "what did you two talked about?" She asks "why do you care so much?" I asks

"Why can't you just tell me? Is that a secret?" She asks "no, Luna offered me to stay" I says, Clarke nods

"Maybe it's better if you'd stay" she says "what?" I asks "you want this" she says "you basically dragged me to come with you" I says

"It doesn't matter, we don't need you anymore if you're just gonna that I am a murderer and yours so much better than me" she says "I never said that, why are you acting like this?" I asks

"Go live here with Luna, that's what you want" she walks away "I told her I won't stay" I says making Clarke stops and turns to look at me

"Really?" She asks "yeah" I nods "oh- I am sorry" she walks towards me "save it" I says "come on, I was sure you're going to stay" she says

"Why would I do that? Just because I didn't agree with you doesn't mean I am not on your side" I says "you're right, I overreacted. I am sorry" she say

"What made you react this way? We've never had a serious fight" I says "I don't know... I just really need you on my side" she shrugs

"Is that it?" I asks, she takes a minute to answer "yeah" she says

"Where's Jasper?" Bellamy asks as we were walking to the boat "saying goodbye to his new friend" Octavia says

"At least he's communicating with something that's is not alcohol" I says as we keeps following the guards to the container, where we meet Luna

"Sorry, Cap, we gotta take him back. Your gear" Luna throws the gear into the container "you get your weapons once you land"

"You chose to leave" Luna looks at me "my friends needs me" I explains, she nods "if you need a safe passage, I'll give you one, not to your friends, but to you I will" she whispers in my ear "maybe one day" I smiles at her

"Inside" the guards shoves me, Bellamy and Octavia into the container "the flame?" Clarke says to Luna "remember, Clarke. A path of violence is a choice" Luna preaches to the flame

"When the choice is fight or die, there is no choice" Clarke says, before she get the chance to take the flame from Luna the guards shoves her into the container and locks it

"They took the flames they're locking us in" Octavia says "hey! What is this?" Clarke bangs on the container

"Luna's people are attacking her. Alie is here" Bellamy says "Jasper is still not here" I says before I bangs on the container

"Let us out!" I yells as I keeps banging, Bellamy and Octavia joins me, kicking and backing on the container. Clarke sits down

"How did Alie even find this place?" Octavia asks "there was a drone at Niylah's. She must have followed us, looking for the flame, and now she has it" Bellamy says

"She's gonna put the A.I in Luna" Bellamy says "she's have to chip her first. If Luna is chipped before she gets the A.I, Alie is gonna know everything. We'll never be able to stop her. We can't let that happen" Clarke says

"Hey!" She bangs on the container "I am sorry, Luna" Octavia says before we all sits down

"This place was safe until we got here" Octavia says. We hears clanking making all of us stand up, we hears someone's panting. We all rushes out seeing Shay with a spread to her back

"Oh, my god" Clarke says "no, no, no, no. Shay" I sits next to her "a machine... P level" she says before she stops breathing

"I am so sorry" I says "let's go" Clarke says before I stands up and runs towards the P level

"Be careful" Bellamy says as Octavia storms in "oh, no" we hears Luna sobs as she holds one of her guard, dead. Another three guards of her lying dead near her

I rushes to Jasper who was tied up, releasing him "did they tortured you?" I asks him "I am fine, they couldn't break me" he says before I looks at Luna

"I am so sorry" Luna says before Luna keys out a loud scream "Shay?" Jasper asks, I looks down "I am sorry" I says

"It's what we do" he says before we hears Luna sobs, she was still holding her guard, saying she's sorry, over and over. It broke my heart knowing we did that to her

"Go for her" Jasper says, I gives him a sad smile before I walks towards Luna "I am sorry" I says, she shares a sad look with me before she returns to look at the dead guard in her hands
