Mary's pov

"I got it" Murphy was helping Raven picking some part of the ship "you sure? It's heavy" Raven says before Murphy grunts, she smirks

"This is why they left us behind, to scavenge the tech?" Emori asks "we didn't get left behind. They're coming back" Murphy says

Everyone else expect me, Emori and Raven left because they found a solution. Clarke told us Jaha found some bunker we could live in

"Forgive me if I don't believe what your people say anymore" Emori says "Murphy is actually right. Don't worry, they might ditch him, but I am too awesome to leave behind" Raven says "there you go" Murphy tells Emori

"Besides, Clarke have a thing for Mary" Raven adds "Clarke locked me up like literally yesterday" I says "yeah, before she volunteered so you wouldn't die" Raven says "it doesn't matter, let's change the subject" I says

"Congratulations, Emori. You get to live in a hole in the ground for 5 years. Thanks for playing" Raven says "come on, at least we get to live" Murphy says before I helps him pick up something that belong to the lab

"Said the cockroach to the raven" Raven says before she looks up and stops what she's doing

"What?" Murphy asks "you don't hear that?" Raven walks towards the ship "hear what?" I asks "Emori, get the seizure kit now. Abby left it in the office" Murphy says

"No. No, it's- it's okay. I am fine" Raven says making Emori stops "out that stuff with the heat for the last run. I'll starts the process" Raven walks towards the computer

"No, no, no, no. No coding, all right? Luna is not here to whisper in your ear and I'd rather not have your brain melt on my watch" Murphy says

"I am not coding. I am unhooking. Now do what I said, then you could take a break. I'll need some time with this" Raven says "Raven, Abby said you need to rest" I says

"I got this" Raven nods at me "sure thing" Murphy grabs me and we both helps Emori move a box "what is it now?" Murphy questions the worried expression Emori has

"If she can't use her brain, why would they need her?" Emori asks "Raven helped us since we landed, they won't leave her like that" I says

"You helped Clarke too and she was willing to sacrifice you?" Emori asks "Emori" Murphy says "I am just saying... Clarke doesn't seem to care about who helps her or not" Emori shrugs

"Mary?" Murphy walks into my room with the radio "what is it?" I asks "it's Monty" he says "what?" I asks "just take it" Murphy hands my the radio "Monty?" I talks to the radio

"Mary, I need your help" Monty says "what happened to hello?" I chuckles "it's Jasper" Monty says in a serious tone

"What about him?" I asks, my smile fades and I gets serious "and Harper" he adds "what- what about them, Monty?" I asks "we're all packing for the bunker expect some of us" Monty says

"We have time, it's okay" I says "they're not planning to pack, Mary" he says "what?" I asks "they're not planning to go into the bunker" he adds

"Jasper is not getting into the bunker?" I questions "him and some of other people of us, including Harper. I tried taping with Harper, nothing helps" he says "let me talk with Jasper" I says

"He won't talk to you" he says "why?" I asks "he said he made his decision, he don't you to see him like that. But maybe we can change their mind, maybe you can" Monty says

"I am coming, over" I hands Murphy back the radio "Mary, where are you going?" He asks as I walks away "Jasper doesn't want to get into the bunker, Murphy" I packs a bag

"I heard, but going after Jasper is not safe for you. What if the black rain will get you?" Murphy asks "I am packing a tent" I says

"No, Mary, stop" he says "you're a fool if you think I am not going to get his ass to that bunker" I says "I just-" he says but sighs before he finish his sentence

"Nothing I'll say will matter, won't it?" He realises as I stands up and face him "I'll be careful, I am going to bring him" I says

"I know you will. I don't know anyone more stubborn than you" he says "I have to do this" I says "I know" he nods as he pulls me into a hug

"May we meet again" he says "hey, we will. In the bunker" I nods "I promise" I adds as I lays a kiss on his forehead before I walks away to pack another few things

Arkadia was a long way from the island so I had to get ready even though I want to burst into Arkadia right now, I realised that if I want to make it to there I need to prepared

I took a small boat that was lying by the shore, Murphy kissed me a goodbye kiss and Emori was waving, I was ready to leave, jumping on the boat but a voice stops me

"Mary!" Raven runs towards me, I watches her from the boat with confused expression, she hates me for so long why is she running towards me? I though.

"You were gonna leave without saying goodbye?" She says, I gets off the boat "you were kinda giving me the impression you hate me" I says before she pull me into a hug

"I am sorry" she says "it's okay" I hugs her back "I gotta go" I pull out of the hug "yeah, yeah" she nods with a sniff

"I'll be back, we'll meet in the bunker. We'll talk" I says "just... be safe" she says "I will" I gives her a smile before I leaves. I waves to them as they watches me sail away

I didn't fully understand what was going on back in Arkadia, but when I heard Jasper is planning to stay out of the bunker, I knew I had to do something, anything

I knew I had to do it fast, because the death wave won't wait for me to convince my cousin that life is worth living.

Why is he doing this? We get a chance to live. But I am not letting him die, he's not going to. He's not going to die, that I know for sure. I won't let this happen

I will shove him into that bunker with force if I'd have to, but he's not going to die, not on my watch.

I feel that not only I own him t Jasper, but I own his parents. Fiona and Ryan helped me so much back on the Ark.

When I realises they haven't survived to earth, I knew I had to be Jasper's keeper. I had to take care of him, it felt like it was their last with to me

But I feel like I failed. I did fail. But I just hope that if I can save him from this one, and show him a change for a better life in the bunker... maybe then I could fulfil their last wish. If I could do that I would be able to forgive myself, maybe I could even sleep at night  

I don't want to think of what happens if I fail this one as well. But this isn't an option. Jasper is getting in that bunker.

"Mary. Thank god" Monty was already waiting for me by the gate of Arkadia "I can't believe you did this" Bellamy pulls me into a tight and long hug as I walks into Arkadia

"Missed you too" I gives him a smile "so what is going on?" I walks inside "Mary" Jaha walks towards me "oh, isn't that nice" I sarcastically says. I hate Jaha.

"We're still trying to convince them to leave with us, if they're not packed by first light, we'd have to use force" Jaha says

"I agree" I says "they listen to Jasper, if you'd convince him, he'd convince the rest" Bellamy says "they really listen to that jerk?" I chuckles

"Apparently" Monty says "don't do anything before I am finished talking with Jasper, I am sure there's no need to use force on them. They are just drunk kids that don't know what they're doing" I says, Jaha nods before I walks into them, seeing them drinking with music in the background

"Mary, what are you doing here?" Jasper asks confused as he sees me "we need to talk" I says "you came all the way here, to talk?" He asks

"Monty told me you're planning to stay out of the bunker, are you serious?" I says "Monty is an asshole" Jasper says

"No he's not, he's your friend and you're just drunk" I says "I am not going to get into that bunker and take orders from Jaha, its not the Ark, Mae" he says

"So you'd rather die?" I asks "it's not like this is a way to live" he says "it is! After this 5 years we could go back to earth, we could find a way to live" I says

"Come on, Mae, listen to yourself. It's always let's get through that and then we'd da da da..." he mumbles "please, Jasper. I am not letting you stay out of the bunker, I can't let you do that" I says

"Out of all people, I thought you'd understand me" he says "why?" I questions "because you don't want to stay on this planet too, you're scared too" he says

"I am scared, but I am not a coward" I says "you are suffering, Mary. If you want to keep going that way... that's your choice. But you can't judge me for choosing peace" he says

"What about me? What about Monty? You're just gonna leave?" I asks with tears "don't cry, I want this" he says

"Please Jasper, just pack your things and let's go. I'll make sure you won't have to be scared" I says "I hope you could've, but you can't. Come on, I don't want to say goodbye like this" he wipes my tears

"You're not saying goodbye. You survived to this point, you don't get to just give up. You didn't let me give up. So you're going into that bunker even if I'd have to drag your ass" I wipes my tears

"Look at us, Mae. This isn't us. The last couple of months I wasn't able to be myself, I wasn't able to protect you. You're not the one who's supposed to be worried about me, it's supposed to be the opposite. You'd be better off-" he says

"No. I won't he. I want you by my side, I don't care if you're depressed or annoying. We can get through that" I says "we can't. This is over" he says

"This isn't over" I shakes my head "it is" he holds my hands "when I say it's not over, it's not fucking over" I gets up and walks away

"Mary?" Bellamy asks "we can't let them- we can't leave them" I says, breathing heavily "Mary, sit down" he says, we both sits down

"We can't leave them, we can't" I shakes my head as I feels my heart starts beating faster and faster "first, calm down" Bellamy says, he walks away to bring me some water and sits back next to me

"I promise you we won't leave them, in first light we'll walk in there and force them to come" he says "why is he doing this?" I looks at Bellamy

"He's as stubborn as you" he says "I don't get it" I looks down "hey, Jasper is just Jasper. He'll come around" he says

"I can't lose him, Bell" I looks at him "you won't" Bellamy wraps his hand around my shoulder "I promise" he says

"Ahh. It's jammed. Same as the others but this is the door to blow" a guard says as we were trying to get into Jasper and his suicide squad. They locked the doors so we wouldn't come in and try to get them

"How many gas chargers do we have?" Jaha ask "you can't be serious" Bellamy says "in Mount Weather we beat the gas by using water. Jasper will be ready for that" Monty says

"Just slow down, let me talk to them" Bellamy says "Bellamy, we have over 400 people ready to march" Jaha says before Bellamy knocks on the door

"We should try and talk to them before we use violence" I says "you tried talking to Jasper, it didn't work" Jaha says "just shut up and let me think" I says before Jasper turns down the music and walks towards us

"Gun" a guard points out "Harper's" Monty says "how many more of them at armed?" Jaha ask "I don't know" Monty says "they wouldn't do shit" I says

"DNR?" A guard reads from a handwriting that was written on Jasper's palm hand he put on the glass part of the door

"Do not resuscitate" Jaha says "Jasper, put down the gun. Open the door" Bellamy speaks to the speaker on the door "we're not coming out" Jasper says before I walks towards the door

"Jasper, open the door" I says "I am sorry, Mae" Jasper says "this is insane" Monty walks towards the speaker

"Are you really willing to die, when there's a way to live? Are they?" Monty asks "that's just it. We don't think it's a way to live" Jasper says

"Just go, please" Harper appears behind Jasper "we're wasting time. Set the charge. You can go to guns. Do not fire unless fired upon, is that clear?" Jaha says

"Bellamy" I says "no. Okay, just- just wait" Bellamy says as they set the charge on the door "Jasper, people will get hurt. I know you care about that" Bellamy says

"If you don't want anyone to get hurt, don't open the door" Jasper walks away "Jasper!" I bang on the door "Mary, calm down" Bellamy says, I stops banging on the door and sighs

"We're all set. We should clear the hall" the guard says "Mr. Jordan" Jaha speaks "I will not leave children here to die"

"You sent them down to die. The difference now is that they have a choice. And so do you" Bellamy says "what are you talking about?" Monty asks

"No, we can't let them kill themself!" I says "this is what they want" Bellamy says "they're wasted they don't know what they want" Monty says, Jaha looks through the glass and watches them party

"Stand down" Jaha says "no!" I says as the guards puts the charge down "get ready to move out" Jaha tells the guard

"Yes, sir" the guards walks away "what? No you can't" Monty tells Jaha "I am sorry, son. Bellamy is right. We can't save them if they don't want to be saved" Jaha walks away

"You promised!" I shoves Bellamy with tears "Mary-" he says "you promised me you wouldn't leave them!" I says "I am sorry, Mary" Bellamy says "fuck you!" I says

"If Octavia was in there, would you let her stay?" Monty asks "if Octavia was in there, at least I'd get to say goodbye" Bellamy walks away

"We can't leave them, Monty" I shakes my head "we can't do anything" Monty says "we have to" I says "what choice do we have here, Mary? Everyone backed down" Monty says

"Fuck!" I kicks some barrel before I walks away "Mary" Monty says "what?" I asks "I am staying" he says "what?" I asks

"I am gonna try to convince Harper to stay. I'll leave to the bunker later. You can go with everyone, but I am staying here" he says "I can't leave him, Monty, he was everything I had" I says

Flashback

"Go to your room, Mary" my dad says. Fiona, my aunt came to our house. I had no idea why she did or what's going on, I was about 8 years old and my dad's girlfriend at that time were in the house

"You're not gonna touch my niece, you're not gonna fucking touch my niece ever again" Fiona stands in front of my dad's girlfriend

"You're niece is my boyfriend's daughter and I can do whatever I want with her, move away" she says "move away" my dad says

"Are you just gonna fucking stand there and your gonna let her do it?" Fiona looks at my dad "you don't get to talk to me, you don't get to say anything!" My dad says

"If you're not gonna break up with that woman I am taking Mary away and I will report you and her. You'd both get floated" Fiona says

"You wouldn't dare" my dad says "oh, I would. She's just c child!" Fiona says "a child that ruined this family" my dad says

"She didn't ruin anything, she's just a child. Can you even hear what I say? You're the one who ruining the girl! And she's out of here until she is" Fiona points at my dad's girlfriend before she grabs me and we both walks away

"I don't want dad to get floated" I tells her as we walks to her place "I know honey, but we need to make it stop, okay? You told me you want it stop" She sits on her knees and wipes any tears as we were outside the door of their house

"He knew?" I asks Fiona runs her finger through my hair as gives me a sad smile "I still don't want him to get floated" I looks down "I know, but until we'd know what to do play with Jasper for a little while, okay?" She asks

"Yeah, I love playing with Jasper" I smiles "good" we enters her house "Mae!" Jasper rushes towards me and hugs me

"My mom said you might stay today, are you?" He asks, I looks at Fiona, because I didn't know the answer myself until this moment "she will, honey" Fiona says

"Yes!" Jasper takes my hand and leads me to his room "look, my mom got you the cd you wanted" Jasper points on a "the bends" by Radiohead cd

"Thank you" I hugs him "you didn't have to do that" I says "I know but I know how you get obsessive over music, it's actually very annoying" he says

"I don't get obsessive!" I argues "yes you are" he says "thank you" I says again, he smiles at me before he puts the cd on

He didn't know it, but he saved me. Him and Fiona. But Fiona is not here now, so all I have left from her is Jasper

I got Monty and Murphy too but it's not the same, Jasper saved me on the Ark. he is the only one that has left from the people who saved me. I feel that if I don't save him, I won't be able to forgive myself.
