"Can I talk to you?" Jasper asks as I stop to touch some flowers "yeah, sure" I says

"How didn't I know you and Murphy were friends?" Jasper asks "why are you still stuck on this?" I asks

"I don't know, I just know all of your friends, it's weird" he says "I don't really know if Murphy even counts me as his friend" I says an he looks at me confused

"I just helped him in something, so I thought he does. And I didn't want to tell you because I knew you wouldn't like that" I adds

"Why wouldn't I like that? Did you do something illegal?" He asks as a joke but I gets quite "don't tell me you did something illegal for him" he says

"Not really, I gave him password for a quarter that the officer who arrested his father works in" I says

"Why would you give it to him?" He asks "my dad was dating his mom for a while and we got close, I was able to talk to him which helped me, I wanted to help him as well" I explains

"How did you got that password anyway?" Jasper asks "my dad used to also date an officer who work that quarter" I says

"Why didn't you just tell me?" I asks "my dad would get wasted with Murphy's mom, I was scared that if you'd find out you'd tell Fiona and Ryan" I says

"They're my parents, they care about you. Of course I'd tell them. We could have let you stay with us for a while, why would that be a bad thing?" he asks

"I knew they would let me stay at yours but last time the guards thought I am your sister in the surprise inspection" I says

"They searched the files and saw you weren't, I told you it wasn't a big deal" he says "they almost floated them, I couldn't take that risk" I explains

After my dad become an alcoholic, Ryan, his brother stopped talking to him, but him and Fiona, his wife tried to do the best they can to help me, but it was complicated explaining the guards the situation and they wouldn't let me stay at them for long

"Anyway, can we go back to Monty? He looks bored" I speaks "yeah, I just needed to talk to you" he says and I nods before we both walks up to Monty "missed us?" I says

"Definitely not, it was quite" he says "liar" I says "now that, my friend, is game" Jasper whispers to us as we look at Finn putting a flower in Octavia's hair

"That, my friend, is poison sumac" Monty says "what? It is?" Octavia asks as she quickly removes the flower off of her hair

"The flower aren't poisonous, they are medicinal. Calming, actually" Monty says "his family grows all the pharmaceuticals on the Ark" Jasper explains

"Hey, guys. Would you try to keep up?" Clarke says "come on, Clarke. How do you block all this out?" Finn says

"Well, it's simple. I wonder, why we haven't seen any animals? Maybe it's because there are none. Maybe we've all been exposed to enough radiation to kill us. It sure is pretty though. Come on" she answers 

"Someone should slid her some poison sumac" Octavia says making Jasper chuckles and I glares at him "what?" He asks, I just roll my eyes without saying anything

"You three related?" Finn asks "me and Jasper are cousins, but Monty is also like family" I answers "that's sweet, Mary" Monty mocks me

"Shut up" I says "so, I gotta know what you did to get busted" Finn says "Sumac's not the only herb in the garden, if you know what I mean" Monty says

"Someone forgot to replace what we took" Jasper says "Someone's apologised 1000 times" Monty says

"Oh my god, you two are such a babies" I says "how about you, Octavia? What did they get you for?" Jasper asks before I glares at him making him realise his mistake

"Being born" she say before she walks passed us "that is so not game" Monty says before Jasper hits his chest, Monty did as well and it went like that for a moment until Jasper gave Monty a glare

We watched Clarke and Octavia sits down and we all follows them, watching a deer "no animals, huh?" Finn asks

Finn gets a step closer and accidentally makes a noise making the deer turn, revealing another face on his face "What the?" Finn says as me and Jasper shares a terrified look

"Hey, you know what I'd like to know? Why send us down today, after 97 years? What changed?" Finn asks

"Who cares? I am just glad they did. I woke up rotting in a cell, and now I am spinning in a forest" Octavia says spinning around a tree

"You think they really wanted to give us a second chance or that bullshit?" I asks "maybe they found something on a satellite. You know? Like an old weather satellite. Or-" Monty says

"It wasn't a chance or a satellite. The Ark is dying" Clarke says making all of us turn around and face her "with the current population there's three months left of life support, maybe four now that we're gone" Clarke says

"So that was the secret they locked you up to keep? Why they kept you in solitary? Floated your old man?" Finn asks

"My father was the engineer who discover the flaw. He thought that people had the right to know. The council disagreed. my mother disagreed. They would be afraid it would cause a panic" Clarke explains

"We were gonna go public anyway when Wells..." she says "what? Turned in your dad?" Monty asks earnings a glare from Jasper

"Anyway, the guard showed up before we could. That's why today. That's why it was worth the risk. Even if we all die, at least they bought themselves some more time" Clarke explains

"They're gonna kill more people, isn't it?" Monty asks and Clarke stays quite "good. After that's they did to me, I say float them all" Octavia says

"You don't mean that" Jasper says "we have to warn them" Finn says "that's what my father said" Clarke says

"Damn. I love earth" Jasper says looking at Octavia that took off her pants "Octavia, what are you doing?" Clarke asks before Octavia jumps off to the water, we all walks towards her

"Octavia, we can't swim" Monty says, her head was half way in the water "No, but we can stand" she says as she stands up

"Wait. There's not supposed to be a river here" Clarke says "well there is, so take off your damn clothes" Finn says

"Octavia, gets out of the water" Jasper says in panic, I look behind her and see some kind of creature, can't tell what that is, it looks like a huge snake

Octavia screams and we can't see her for a few moments "No" Jasper says before she screams and straggles with the creature "here!" She yells for us

"What the hell is that?" Monty asks "we have to help" Finn say "what are you gonna do?" Jasper asks "try not to get eaten" Finn says

"No, wait. If we can distract ourselves t, it might let her go. Help me" Clarke says as we helps her throw a big rock to the water

"Octavia, get to the shore now" Jasper says as he jumps to the water and helps her "I got you" he tells her "it's coming back" Jasper says

"Jasper, hurry the fuck up!" I yells "It's ahead right for you guys" Monty says "Jasper!" I yells before they get to the shore and we all run towards them

Clarke rips part of Jasper's shirt to cover Octavia's cut from the creature, Octavia hugs Jasper "thank you, thank you"

"Earth is scary" I says "You're gonna be okay" Clarke says to Octavia "note to self: next time, save the girl" Monty says making all of us laughs

"You wanted to go first. Now quit stalling" Clarke says to Finn. We figured we needed a way to cross that river without getting beaten by a crazy ass creature, so we though we should swing by a rope would be a good idea

"Mount Weather awaits" Clarke adds "just hand on until the apogee and you'll be fine" Jasper says

"The apogee, like the Indians, right?" Finn asks "Apogee, not Apache" Jasper says "he knows. Today, Finn" Clark says

"Aye, aye, captain. See you on the other side" Finn says "wait" Jasper says making Finn stop "what?" He asks "let me" Jasper says

I am not stupid, I saw how he looked at Octavia. I think it's cute that he tries to impress her, but I will never say it out loud, he'd make fun of me.

"I can do it" he says "I knew there was a badass in there somewhere" Finn says "Hey, it's okay to be afraid, Jasper. The trick is not fighting it" Finn says

"See you on the other side" he says before swipe on the rope "whoop! Yeah!" He cheers before he jumps off "oh, shit" he mumbles

"Jasper?" I asks as he gets up "we are apogee!" He yells "yeah!" We all cheers "you did it, Jasper!" Clarke says as he jumps of joy

"Let's go princess, you're up" Finn says "come on Clarke, You got it. Whoo! Apogee" Jasper says making me laugh

"I am embarrassed of you" I says "no you're not" he says before he notices something "we did it! Mount Wather!" He says raising a sign

"Whoo!" He yells "yes!" Monty says "You did it!" I yells before we saw a spirit flies to Jasper "Jasper!" Clarke says

"No" I says "come on" Finn says "Jasper!" Monty yells "No, no, no, no, no" I says in repeat as I feel tears in my eyes "move it" Clarke says

"Mary! Get down!" Finn says "he's right there! We can't do nothing!" I cries before Monty pulls me down "dying won't help Jasper" Monty says "We're not alone" Clarke states

"The firing stops, they might be out of ammo, we gotta run right now" Finn says and Clarke nods

"I am not going back" I says "what are you talking about?" Clarke asks "I am not going back without Jasper" I shakes my head

"He can be dead" Finn says "Finn" Clarke glares at him

"I promise we will go back to get him, but we need to be prepared" Clarke adds "I love Jasper too, but right now we got to get the fuck out of here" Monty says and I nods before we all starts running

As we were running Monty falls down. He takes a few moment as he sees bones and skulls all over the ground "Monty. Get up" Octavia says "come on, we gotta go" Finn says

"Who are they?" Finn asks "are you okay?" I asks Monty as he gets up "yeah" he nods "what are they?" Clarke says

"We are so screwed" Octavia says before we hear a loud scream "Jasper" I says "he's alive" Clarke says running to the direction of the scream we hard

"Clarke. Wait. Wait" Finn says as we all follows her "wait. Stay under the trees" Finn says "he was right there" Finn says

"No. Where is he?" Monty asks "they took him?" I asks as I looks at Clarke "that's the only possible explanation" Clarke says

"I told you we shouldn't run away!" I says "what did you wanted? That there's spread us as well and take us?" Finn says "they would kill him!" I says

"You can't know that" Clarke says as we all starts to walk back "we will come back with weapons" she adds

"And how will we find him?" I asks before she grabs my shoulders "we'll figure it out. I am not letting Jasper die, okay?" She says and I nods

"Wells!" I yells as I see him grabbing Murphy as we come back "let him go!" Clarke says before Wells drop Murphy aggressively on the ground, Murphy is about to attack Wells but Bellamy stops him

"Enough, Murphy" Bellamy says before he notices Octavia and sees her injury "Octavia, are you all right?" He asks "yeah" Octavia says

"Where is the food?" Bellamy asks "we didn't make it to Mount Weather" Finn says

"What the hell happened out there?" Bellamy asks "we were attacked" Clarke says "attacked?" Wells asks

"by what?" Wells asks "not what, who" Finn says "what?" Wells asks "turns out, when the last man from the ground died on the Ark... he wasn't the last grounder" Finn says

"It's true" Octavia says "Everything we thought we knew about the ground is wrong. There are people here. Survivors" Octavia says

"The good news is that means we can survive, radiation won't kill us" Clarke says "the bad news is the Grounders will" Finn says

"Where's the kid with the goggles?" Wells asks "he has a name you asshole" I says "Mary" Monty says, trying to calm me down

"Jasper was hit" Clarke says "hit is a nice word, he was fucking spirited. They took him" I says "where is your wristband?" Clarke asks as she notices Wells wristband is gone

"Ask him" he looks at Bellamy "how many?" Clarke asks "Twenty four and counting" Murphy answers

"You idiots. Life support in the Ark is failing. That's why they brought us down here. They need to know the ground is survivable again and we need their help against whatever is out there" Clarke says

"If you take off your wristbands, you're not just killing them. You're killing us" Clarke says "we're stronger than you think. Don't listen to her, she's one of the privileged. If they come down here she'll have it good, how many of you can say the same?" Bellamy asks

"We can take care of ourself. That wristband on your arm makes you a prisoner. We are not prisoners anymore. They say they'll forgive your crimes, I say you're not criminals. You're fighters, survivors. The grounders should worry about us" Bellamy says

"Tell that's to Jasper, asshole" I says before Clarke grabs me "what do we do now?" Monty asks "now we go after Jasper" she says looking at me before I gives her a nod

"I'll pack a few things and then we can leave" she says as she going to the upper part of the ship

"He'll be fine, Mary" Monty says "you can't know that" I says "he has to be, if they wanted to kill him they won't take him, why would they?" he says

"They might be torturing him right now" I says "don't think about this, okay? Think of something else" he says

"Like what? The two faces deer?" I asks "you're not loving earth, do you?" He asks "I mean, it's beautiful and all. But it's also scary" I says

"We'll find him" he assures me, but I am still scared. Scared of all the though thats going through my head about what cousin goes through right now

He always protected me, but when he's in dangerous I can't even help him. I hated myself for that

"It's not the ankle Wells, it's you" I hear Clarke says as she comes down "you came back to reinforcements. I am gonna help" Wells says getting down as well

"Clarke, He's right. We need him. So far, no one else volunteered" Monty says "I am sorry Monty but you're not going either" Clarke says

"What?" I asks "Like hell I am not. Jasper is my best friend" Monty says "you're too important. You were raised on Farm Station, recruited by Engineers" Clarke explains

"So?" He asks ",So?' Food and communication. What's up here" she says pointing at his head "is going to save us all"

"You figure out how to talk to the Ark and I'll bring Jasper back, you can relax Mary won't let me come back without Jasper" Clarke says "damn right" I says making her chuckle

"Hey, you ready?" Clarke asks as Finn walks up to us "I am not going anywhere. And neither should any of you" Finn says

"The fuck?" I asks "that spear was thrown with pinpoint accuracy from 300 feet" Finn says "so what, we let Jasper die?" Monty asks

"That's not gonna happen" Clarke says "you waisted air in the Ark and got two kids to die on the drop ship, of course you won't give a shit if someone is dying out there" I starts

"Mary" Clarke says "but I do care when it comes to someone's life on the line, especially when it's my own blood out there" I says

"Space walker? What a joke. You think you're such an adventurer, you're just a coward" Clarke says "it's not an adventurer, Clarke it's a suicide mission" Finn says but Clarke only shakes her head at him before walking away

"Build a wall. Use the fallen trees. I'll watch out for her" Wells says "I'll do the best I can" I says as I hugs Monty "I know you will" he smiles at me before I take a look at Finn

"Asshole" I says bumping into him before I walks away, I might have been too harsh, but I don't care.

"You could've been killed" we hear Bellamy says as he was taking care of Octavia "she would have been if Jasper didn't pull her out" Clarke says

"You guys leaving? I am coming too" Octavia says "No, no. No way, not again" Bellamy says

"He's right. Your leg is just gonna slow us down. I am here for you" she says looking at Bellamy making me and Wells confused "Clarke what are you doing?" Wells asks

"I hear you have a gun" Clarke says before Bellamy raises his shirt a bit to reveal his gun "good. Follow me" she says "and why would I do that?" He asks

"because you want them to follow you" she says, referring to the little cult he and Murphy has been running

"And right now, I think they're thinking only one of us are scared" she adds "Murphy, come with me" he says

"Atom, my sister doesn't leave this camp. Is that clear?" I hear Bellamy says "what did you just do?" I whispers to Clarke

"We need a gun" she says "couldn't we just take it from him?" I asks "do you know how to use a gun?" She asks and I shakes my head

"Then we need him" she says "this guys aren't just bullies Clarke, they're dangerous criminals" Wells says "I am counting on it" she says

"Hey, hold up. What's the rush? You don't survive a spare through the heart" he says raising his gun "put the gun away" Wells says

"Why don't you do something about it?" Murphy says "Jasper is not dead, okay?" I says

"Jasper screamed when they moved him. If the spear struck his heart, he'd have died instantly. Doesn't mean we have time to waste" Clarke says

"As soon as you take this wristband off, we can go" Bellamy says grabbing Clarke's hand "the only way the Ark is gonna think I am dead is if I am dead, got it?" Clarke says getting out of his grip

"Applies to Mary too" she says looking at me "brave princess" Bellamy says "hey, why don't you find your own nickname?" Finn appears

"You call this a rescue party? Gotta split up, cover more ground. Clarke, come with me" Finn says as she follows him

"I'll go with Mary, I'll make her take wristband off" I hear Murphy whispers to Bellamy, I sees Bellamy nods at him

"I don't give a shit what cult you're running, I am not taking my wristband off" I says after me and Murphy were alone "I am not trying to make you do anything, I lied to Bellamy" he confess

"Why would you that?" I asks "with what happened to Jasper I am scared I won't have any other chance to talk to you" he says "Jasper is not dead"

"Sorry, I didn't mean that" he says "It's not a good time to have this talk anyways" I says "you could have gone with Wells instead of me" he says

"I don't know Wells, I don't trust Wells" I says "but you trust me?" He asks "I don't trust anyone, but I do know you" I says

"Do you?" He asks "It's not the time for this conversation" I says

"Yeah, I know. But I need you to know that I didn't mean to cut you off, on the ark" he says

"You also didn't mean to act like a dick?" I asks "I was scared you're too good for me" he says making me laugh as response

"what are we doing turns on who's being a jerk now?" He asks

"I don't have the 'when Murphy is being a dick' schedule, I am just not in the mood" I says "I just don't want you to hate me" he starts

"It didn't felt that way. It felt like you were trying to make me hate you" I says

"I really do think you're too good for me, I was scared I would hurt you, you know how I was after my mom died, I changed" he says

"You shouldn't have don't that in the way you did, you've hurt me" I says 

"I know I am sorry, okay?" He says "Mary" Clark says as she walks up to me "what's wrong?" I asks "come on" she says, Bellamy, Wells and Finn were walking behind her

"It's Jasper's isn't it?" I asks looking at a trail of blood. Clarke nods before I follows her

"Hey, how do we know this is the right way?" Murphy asks "we don't. The Space walker thinks he's a tracker" Bellamy says

"It's called cutting sign. Fourteen year earth skill. He's good" Wells says "you wanna keep it down or should I paint a target on your backs?" Finn says

I look down and I notice a drip of blood. Clarke notices as well and we both shares a look before we all hears a loud moan making me jump

"What the hell was that?" Murphy asks "now would be a good time to take out the gun" Clarke says before we all runs towards the Moans noises

"Jasper" Clarke says as we sees him "oh my god" I says as I put hand on my mouth, he was tied up on some tree and he was full of blood

"Mary" Murphy says "oh my god" is all I say "we gotta go take him down, come on" Clarke says and I nods as we ran towards him

"What the hell is this?" Bellamy ask before Clarke falls dow to a trap, it was a whole with a lot of blades beneath it "Clarke" I says as Bellamy catches her "get her up" Finn says before we all run towards her and helps Bellamy pull her up

"You okay?" Finn asks "yeah" Clarke says "we need to get him down" I says "I'll climb up and cut the vines" Finn says "I am with you" I says and he nods

"You, come too" he says looking at Murphy "there's a poultice on his wound" Clarke says "medicine? Why would they save his life?" Wells asks

"Maybe what they're trying to catch... likes it's dinner breathing" Bellamy says "maybe what they're trying to catch is us" Finn says

"Hurry up, Murphy" Bellamy says "be careful" Clarke says "the hell was that?" Murphy asks as we hear bellowing

"Grounders?" Bellamy asks "Bellamy, gun" Clarke says as a Chita sprints towards them, Wells pulls the gun out and shoots him

This chapter was a little bit longer but I hope y'all enjoyed it
I love Monty and Mary's friendship, it's only platonic but I still really like them and will try to show more of them

Also, I wanted to say that it will take time for something to happened between Murphy and Mary since Murphy was a real jerk in the first season
