Ch. 126 Home is Where You Are

Juice woke up to the sound of Evie's crying coming from the baby monitor. After Angela had fallen asleep the night before, he'd gone and gotten his kids and brought them home. He was starting to regret that decision when he looked at clock and found it was 6 o'clock in the morning on his day off. Despite the early hour, he couldn't think of a better alarm clock than his own daughter. He groaned, smiling to himself as his wife's hair tickled his nose. She was sound asleep on his chest, her ear pressed to her heart; her favorite place to sleep she'd told him once. It was his daughter's too. He stroked a hand through her hair as he used his free hand to turn off the monitor before sliding out from under her with a practiced ease. "Love you," he whispered to her, kissing her cheek.

Slowly, he padded his way to their daughter's room. Evie had pulled herself to her feet and was wailing as she smacked her stuffed bull dog against the side of the crib. "Hey Monk! You hungry?" he asked, grinning at his baby girl as he lifted her into his arms. She reached for him as he neared and quieted once she was safely in his arms, her little hand curling around his shoulder. "That's my baby girl. No cryin' for Daddy. C'mon, let's go get you somethin' yummy."

He carried her down to the kitchen, happy he'd listened to his sister when she'd told him to stock up on groceries and baby food. "So, Monk, what do you like?" he asked, balancing her on his hip as he looked at the little jars. "Jo said you eat baby food now so what'll it be? Peas? Sweet potatoes? Bananas?"

Evie babbled back at him, her little palm slapping against his shoulder. "Da-da. Da-da-da. Da-daaa."

"Yeah, Da-da's making food for you, Monk," he replied, staring at the various jars, totally perplexed. He'd gotten one of everything and had no idea what she preferred. "But you're not being very helpful. Huh, Monk? Strawberries maybe? Or there's this turkey dinner crap that looks...interesting..."

"Turkey dinner for breakfast? How 'bout no," Kenny said as he walked into the kitchen. His dark hair was a mess, but he looked well rested and content. "She'll eat anything. Bananas are her favorite though. Ironically."

Juice gave him an appreciative smile. "Does my little monkey like bananas?" he asked, kissing her chubby cheek as he opened the jar. "How'd you sleep, Ken?"

"Awesomely," he answered, pulling the high chair towards the kitchen bar before taking a seat on one of the stools. "Didn't sleep much the night before. Monk does not do well on planes. Ma almost killed a lady who told her to shut Eves up."

He grimaced as he slid Evie into the chair. "Shit. I didn't...I'm sorry, Ken."

Kenny shrugged a shoulder, sliding to his feet and going over to Evie's baby bag. He grabbed a bib and handed it to Juice. "You're gonna need this," he advised before sitting back down.

Juice chuckled at the front of the bib that read: "These fools put my cape on backwards". "This is cute."

"Bones. He buys her the nerdiest shit," he explained. He smirked, grabbing a spoon only for Kenny to hand him a different one with a rubber covered tip. "Baby spoon. Metal can hurt her teeth if she bites too hard."

He stared at the spoon suddenly feeling really inadequate when it came to parenting. "Shit, I got a lot to learn. I wasn't away that long, was I?"

"Nah, she's just been growin' fast," he answered, shrugging again. "How'd Ma take your...resurrection?"

"Not great. She was in disbelief, then pissed, then...happy," he said, deciding against telling his adopted son that Angela had practically jumped his bones the second her anger wore off. "She's out now. Not even Eves woke her up."

Kenny looked relieved as he nodded. "Good. She hasn't slept since you...disappeared. Hasn't eaten either. Dia's been cooking the most delicious shit too. Tamales, enchiladas, tacos, mole, everythin' and Ang'll eat a bite and then push around the food to make it look like she's eating. Even when we went to that amazing barbeque place with Aunt Jo yesterday, she didn't eat anything and that shit was bomb."

"See if I can fix that." Juice commented on a frown, already deciding he'd make her some pancakes and force feed them to her if he had to. "You stay with the Alvarez's long?"

"Every day since you died. Ma didn't want to go anywhere near the old house," he explained on a shrug. "Marc and Dia took real good care of us, though. You can tell they really care about Ang. Don't think she coulda gone through it all without them. Weird how it worked out. Sons destroyed her and the Mayans started to put her back together."

The teen's words had Juice feeling a little nostalgic; it was something Opie would've observed, and they would've all given him shit for it despite how right he was. "Yeah, weird," he agreed. He fed Evie another spoonful, smiling when she gobbled it up and made a content sound.

Kenny bobbed his head, messing with his hair. Clearly something was on his mind, but Juice didn't want to push it. He and Kenny had rarely talked one on one before, and he didn't want to overstep his boundaries. With Opie, it was best to sit quietly and wait for him to talk, so that's what he did. After a moment, he let out a long sigh. "I read the letter you wrote me," he stated, staring down at the floor before lifting his head and continuing, "Did you mean it when you wrote you'd be proud to call me your son? I kinda asked Ang to do it without thinkin' about what you thought. Know it was kinda forced on you."

Juice looked over at him, meeting his gaze as he nodded. "I am proud to call you my son," he assured him. "And I wasn't forced into anythin', Ken. I was all for it from the get go. I loved your dad like a brother, and I want to give his kids the best life possible especially since its what you wanted, what you asked for. You just asked for Ang. I kinda came with her, but I promise I'll treat you like a son. Take care of you like one. You don't gotta call me Dad or Pops or anythin'. I don't expect that, but I'ma be here for you regardless."

He didn't reply, though he seemed pleased with what he'd said. His hazel eyes went around the bright kitchen. "This place for us?"

"Only if that's what you guys want," he answered, making plane sounds as he "flew" the spoon into Evie's awaiting mouth. "Not forcin' anythin'."

"Ma and I were already thinkin' about it 'fore we even knew you were here," he admitted, smiling a little. "Think it'd be nice to start fresh here. People might actually believe you guys are my real parents."

Juice grinned at him, loving that idea. "There's some awesome high schools around here too. Friday Night Lights type of shit. All about football. If that's somethin' you're interested in."

"Kinda thought about it, actually. We'll see though," he said, glancing down at his phone awkwardly.

Their front door open and Jo breezed in, a huge grin on her face. "There's the lovely Ortiz family," she exclaimed, hands on her hips. "Where's Ang?"

"Sleepin'," Juice replied, his mouth opening with Evie's as he gave her another bite. Her face was a complete mess, but she looked happy. He set the bowl and the spoon down on the highchair tray. "Hasn't slept that soundly since she was pregnant."

"Its been a while since she's slept at all," Kenny put in around a yawn.

Jo laughed, moving the bowl away from Evie's tiny fist before she could grab it. "Poor thing," she said, taking Evie's bib off after she used it to wipe her mouth. She lifted her out of the high chair easily. "C'mon you two, you're comin' to my place. Let Mama and Daddy get some talkin' time in, huh? Maybe they'll work on makin' another one of you, pretty girl."

"Ugh. Gross," Kenny muttered as he stood from his seat.

"I wasn't done feeding her," Juice said on a scowl.

"I know, but she was about to make a crazy mess," Jo said on a smirk. "Never leave food within arm's reach. If she gets her hands on it, it's going to go everywhere. And I mean everywhere."

Evie squirmed in her aunt's arms, her little hand reaching out to Kenny in a way that made Juice's heart squeeze painfully in his chest; Evie was more interested in her brother than in him. Kenny stood and took her, kissing her cheek before tossing her into the air and catching her easily. Juice's heart was in his throat every time he watched his daughter leave the boy's hands despite the way her giggles were filling up the room. "C'mon sis. Let's go get big bro some grub," Kenny murmured to her, chuckling as she grabbed at his hair.

"D's over there settin' the table. My little ninjas will be home in a few minutes so brace yourself. They're gonna love you," Jo told Kenny with a wink.

Kenny chuckled before heading to the front door, talking to Evie as he went. Juice watched them go feeling a little sad to be without them. "Thanks for bringin' 'em to me, Jo," he said, leaning back in his chair. "Coulda used a little warnin' though."

"She didn't get any warning. 's only fair that you didn't either," she explained on a shrug. "I'ma leave you here. Try 'n' get some actual talking in, please. I want more nieces and nephews, but y'all got a lot to talk about."

Juice smirked, raising an eyebrow. "Y'all?"

"Texas. It grows on you. You'll see," she explained, petting his hair just like she did to her sons. "You happy, bro?"

"Only way I could be happier is if I knew for sure they were stayin'," he said, stirring the mush leftover in the bowl.

She leaned over and pecked his cheek. "How could they not, Wonka? This is their happily ever after just as much as it is yours."

Juice smiled a little as he watched her go, hoping she was right. Sighing, he looked down at the banana mush still on the spoon and decided to give it a try. It wasn't bad, he decided, eating another spoonful. Shaking his head, he put the bowl in the sink and started pulling out a skillet and a mixing bowl to make his wife's favorite pancakes.

He was almost done when he heard fast footfalls before she shouted, "Juice!"

The panic in her voice sent shivers down his back. He turned off the gas before spinning around. "Kitchen!" he shouted, wincing when he realized he'd probably scared the crap out of her when she woke up alone. "Angel, I'm here!"

She rounded the corner and slammed into him, her arms slipping around him as she buried her face into his bare chest. He could feel her heart racing against him and held her in closer, rubbing his hand up and down her back. She was shaking all over, obviously scared. "I thought it was a dream...I thought..." she trailed off, tilting her head back so their eyes could meet. "I thought I'd lost you again."

Juice slid a hand through her hair, dipping his head to kiss her softly. "I'm here, Angel," he assured her, drawing her in closer to him again. "Never leaving you again. I promise."

Angela nodded, sniffling a bit as she wiped at her face. " 'm sorry, it's just...when you first...went away, I'd have these dreams of you coming home and I'd wake up and remember you were gone and it'd hurt so fuckin' badly each time, so I kinda stopped tryin' to sleep altogether to avoid that and then this time it all felt so real and then I woke up and you were gone..."

"Shit. I'm sorry, Angel. I'm so sorry," he said, cutting off her rambling. "Monk woke up early 'n' I didn't want to wake you up if you didn't have to. I brought them over last night so they could sleep here. Then Jo came this mornin' to take 'em over so we could have some alone time...pretty sure she thinks we're just gonna have sex, which I am so down for, but we also got a lot to talk about."

"Oh yeah?" She stood on her toes, placing a hand on the back of his neck and pulling him in close for a kiss. He kissed her back just as hard, his tongue sliding into her mouth as he deepened the kiss. "Mmm. You taste like bananas."

"Baby food is not as bad as you'd think," he said, nodding towards the little jar still sitting on the counter.

Angela laughed, and he felt the vibrations through his whole body. God, he'd missed her. "That's because you haven't tried turkey dinner yet," she said, stepping away from him and heading towards the plate stacked high with pancakes. "These look amazing, baby. I'm starvin'."

"After the workout we had last night, I'm not surprised," he said, stepping behind her to slide his arms around her. He dropped a kiss to the ink on her shoulder, his ink. "Missed you, baby. Been going crazy here without you."

She sighed softly, leaning back into him, her hands settling over his. "I know the feeling," she rasped, squeezing his hand. "What happens now?"

"I don't know," he murmured, his lips moving across her skin. "I can't go back to Charming. Jax'll kill me on sight."

Angela's back stiffened at the name, her hand squeezing his a little tighter. "A lot happened after you...left," she told him. "Some crazy, crazy shit."

"People die?"

"Yeah."

"Shit," he said, letting go of her to run his hands through his hair. "Who?"

She took a deep breath as she turned around to face him. "Bobby," she answered, her dark eyes worried as they looked up at him. "Not really sure what happened to him or how, but it had to be bad. They were all devastated."

Juice felt like someone had punched him in the gut. Bobby was dead. Bobby, the man who'd bake him hash brownies every year for his birthday, the man who would use any excuse to dress up like Elvis. He'd been the Sons' moral compass, and Juice was pretty sure he'd saved his ass on more than one occasion by not letting Jax take him to the table. He swallowed hard, trying to keep calm. "Just him?"

She hesitated a bit, grabbing two plates and serving them pancakes with syrup drizzled on top. "No. How about we sit down for the rest of it? It's a long story."

The pancakes went untouched as they sat cuddled on the couch together while she told him everything he'd missed back in Charming. He felt sick to his stomach when he heard about Abel and the way he'd learned who'd killed his mother. Felt worse when he learned it was Gemma who had been the culprit and Unser, her partner in crime. The lump forming in his throat grew into real tears by the time she explained how Jax had run his bike head on into a semi. It was too much to take in. For a moment, he felt like he was back in Charming hearing about another lost brother. The memories descended upon him like a tsunami, drowning him, making it hard for him to breathe as images of all of his lost brothers flashed before his eyes.

Then he felt her hands on his face, heard her voice. "Hey! Juice!" she shouted at him, pulling him out from under. He met her gaze, trying to slow his breathing while she stroked her thumbs over his cheekbones. "Don't go back there, baby. Stay with me. You're safe now. We're safe now. They can't touch you."

He breathed in deeply, anchored to reality by her dark eyes. "Right. Yeah. I'm here," he said, trying for a smile and failing. He turned his head to kiss her palm. "Just...a lot to take in all at once."

"No kidding. Try finding out your husband's alive after thinking he was dead for a month," she joked half-heartedly. She leaned her head against his shoulder. "What have you been up to?"

"Working with Dino," he answered on a sigh as he played with her hair. "They got me consulting on a MC video game. A real office job where I gotta dress up and everythin'."

She laughed a little, tilting her head back to look at him. "Really? No background check or..."

"D owns the company," he explained on a shrug. "They accepted me. No questions asked. They...they all really like me, I think. Most of 'em are impressed by my stories and my skills. Its kinda nice to be...appreciated like that. Different."

Angela's eyes warmed as she leaned over to kiss his cheek. "Of course they appreciate you, baby. I've always said you were brilliant."

Juice kissed her forehead, the love he felt for her filling him up and chasing away all the hurt he'd been feeling after hearing about what happened to his club. "Love you," he murmured, his lips still on her skin.

"Mmm," she hummed contently, reaching out to grab a pancake off her plate and ripping off a bite of it.

He groaned as she licked the syrup off of one finger, a fire slowly building in his belly. She grinned wickedly at him, offering her him another sticky finger. He took it into his mouth, his eyes never leaving hers as he licked the syrup off. She laughed when he was done, taking his face in her hands and giving him a sound kiss on the lips as she straddled his lap. His hands found her hips as he deepened the kiss, his tongue sliding into his mouth.

The feel of her lips against his swept him away from reality, and it took all of his self-control to pull himself back to it. "Baby, baby, baby," he said, laughing as she kissed him between each word. "I love this, but we got a lot to talk about."

Angela kissed him again, her fingers sliding through his hair. "Un beso mas."

He chuckled, nipping at her lower lip before he pulled away still feeling intoxicated from her kiss. Her lips moved to his neck though, driving him even crazier. "C'mon, Angel. Wanna...talk," he said before grabbing a fistful of her hair and tugging her back. "Please, baby. We got a lot a shit to sort out."

She sighed, leaning her forehead against his shoulder. "Can't we just...be for a minute? I just got you back, Juice," she said, her lips on his neck again.

"C'mon, Angel. Two seconds," he begged, trying his best to keep on track when while she was torturing him with her kisses. "Just tell me one thing."

"Mm?" she asked, nipping at his throat and sending shivers down his spine.

"You want to move in with me? Raise our family out here?"

Angela sat up, putting her forehead to his, her hands framing his face. "What do you think?"

"Think I'm the luckiest man alive." Juice caught her lips in a hot kiss, grabbing her by the hips and quickly flipping her over onto the couch. She squealed in delight, their joined laughter filling the air as his hands roamed all over her body.

------------------

Angela smiled to herself as she dragged a brush through her hair. She looked at Juice in the mirror on the bureau, watching his back muscles move as he looked through his drawers for something to wear. Despite the fact they'd spent almost half the day getting 'reacquainted' with one another, she was finding it hard to believe this was real. That he was still alive and breathing. They were finally going to get the happy ending they always deserved. She took off her necklace, smiling at the crow charm and his rings that sat heavily in her palm. "Juice?" she said, turning around just as he was tugging a shirt over his head. He raised his eyebrows at her in question. She held out her palm. "Think these belong to you."

Juice gave her one of his million dollar grins as he picked them up. He slid his wedding band on before handing her back the SAMCRO one. "That's not me anymore," he said, tapping on the big black square tattooed on his arm to emphasize his point.

She nodded, playing with the heavy ring, her thumb rubbing over the wings imprinted on the side. He was right. Their life here was the start of something new. "I don't want to go back," she admitted, sitting down heavily on the edge of the big bed. "Not to pack, not to say goodbye...I'm so scared that if I leave...all of this is going to disappear."

His hand brushed across her cheek before he covered her hands with his own. "Not gonna happen, baby. I'm here to stay. There's no charter here, nothin'. We're safe."

"There's a Mayan charter over in San Antonio," she said on a light laugh as she looked up at him. "Marc mentioned it. Said if I get in trouble, they're not far away."

"Ang..."

The look of fear that crossed his face made her instantly regret mentioning it. "But that's okay," she assured him quickly. "Marcus wouldn't tell 'em anything. Not anymore. He wouldn't do that to me."

Juice didn't seem so sure, but he nodded anyway. "How 'bout we forget about all that shit for today and just...try and be normal? We'll pick up the kids and go downtown or something. You're gonna love the twins. They're fuckin' hilarious."

Angela gave him a small smile as she nodded, accepting the hand he offered her and allowing him to pull her to her feet. He wrapped his arms around her, crushing her to his chest as he kissed her forehead. Her smile widened as she leaned into him, happy to be back in his arms. "Sounds like a good plan," she agreed, her words muffled by his skin.

He let her go, kissing her quickly before swatting her ass. "Prepare for chaos"

Chaos was a light way to put it. As soon as they stepped into Jo's house they were met with loud laughter and the sound of little feet running around. A boy stepped out in front of them, pushing up his glasses as he leveled a Nerf gun at Juice. "Prepare to die, sucker!"

"I don't think so," Juice replied, grabbing him around the waist and easily lifting him over his shoulder. The boy yelled and protested with laughter as the gun dangled from his arms. "This little sucker is Mikey. Mikes, this is your Aunt Angel."

"Identify your allegiance, Aunt Angel," Mikey shouted at her.

Angela laughed, winking at Juice. "Last time I checked I was part of the Rebel Alliance, though I've been told the force is strong within me, so I might be a Jedi."

Mikey grinned at her, seemingly pleased with her answer. "DC or Marvel?"

"Don't!" Juice and Jo shouted at the same time as they entered the kitchen.

Juice set Mikey down on his feet, rubbing a hand over his head. Jo gave her son an admonishing glare. "We stay neutral on comicbook superheroes here, right, Mikey?"

He rolled his eyes at her but nodded anyway. "Yes Mama."

"And why do we do that?" she asked, ignoring Evie who was currently tugging on her hair from her spot on her Aunt's hip.

"To keep the peace," he replied flatly.

"Now, can you apologize to your Aunt for trying to trick her?"

Mikey sighed and nodded. "Sorry Aunt Angel."

Angela smiled, winking at him. "Don't worry about it, dude. I love Batman and Spiderman equally."

"Sweet," he said, raising his fist for her to bump. She did just that, and he went off running. "Donnie! Auntie Angel's here! She likes DC and Marvel the same! Just like Kendo said!"

Jo chuckled, shaking her head at her son. "You have no idea the conflict you just avoided. My twins fight about one thing and its Marvel versus DC comics. They agree on everything else, but you start discussing the Avengers versus the Justice League and those two go apeshit," she explained, waving her hand around. "So...you two decided to come up for air, huh?"

Angela laughed, leaning over the kitchen counter and watching as her daughter reached out her arms to her father. "Yeah, well, I had to give him a break. Didn't want to wear him out."

"Hey, hey, hey," Juice interjected, taking Evie into his arms happily. "I'm not worn out! I'm just fine, thank you very much! Just wanted some time with my kids."

Jo winked at Angela conspiratorially. "That's what they all say."

He looked between them before grimacing. "Shit. You guys barely know each other, and you're already ganging up on me."

His sister laughed, going over to the stove and handing them a plate piled high with bacon and tater tots and a bowl full of chopped fruit. "Eat up," she said with a grin. "Ken's hiding somewhere in the house. The boys ganged up on him, and D will be home early from work, otherwise we've got nothing planned. Just curious as to what the plan is for later on."

Juice grabbed a banana half and handed it to Evie. Angela grimaced, knowing it was going to make a crazy mess but also knowing it was a mistake Juice had to make. Better he learn from experience than to have her correct him and him doubt his parenting skills. She sighed, raking a hand through her hair. "We'll go back to Charming, pack our shit, and then move out here."

"You want me to come with? Sure would like to give that Teller dickwad a piece of my mind."

"Not gonna happen. He's gone," Juice answered as he held the banana while Evie chomped on it. He chuckled, looking proudly at Angela. "Look at my little Monkey! You eat that banana!"

Jo looked disappointed, but she didn't ask for more of an explanation. "All right, fair enough, but I still want to go back with you and help. If that little girl is a hellion on a plane you need more of a squad to back you up, right?"

Angela munched on a tater tot as she bobbed her head. "Works for me. You can meet my side of the family. They got three crazy grandmas, a badass grandpa, Uncle Bones, Aunt Ellie and Chloe, and one little girl who has insisted upon being called their aunt."

"And two Uncles," Juice threw in, catching her gaze. "Wouldn't be here today without Hap and Tig. You know that."

She pressed her lips together and shrugged a shoulder; as happy as she was that Hap had let him go, she wasn't ready to forgive and forget so easily. "Sure."

"Hap let me go. You can't hold it against him for not telling you," he pointed out.

"Don't worry about it," she said flippantly, not wanting to get into it with Jo standing there. There were a lot of issues she had to work out with Happy before she forgave him. They'd been on the outs long before Juice had "died". He'd lied to her, let her suffer alone, had chosen the club over her on more than one occasion. She was done with him. "Let's just get some fun in before we have to go back!"

------------------

Juice sat on the edge of the lake enjoying the sight of Angela in her bikini as she moved Evie around the lake in her Bat-mobile baby floaty. Dino and Kenny were nearby, making a game of who could throw the twins the farthest. The sun was shining, and he was soaking it all in while he could. "I hate that they have to go back. Even just for a few days," he told Jo who was reading a book quietly at his side.

"They gotta pack up. Move out," Jo explained without looking up from her book. "What'd ya think was gonna happen?"

"She'd call her assistant and have him send all that shit out here," he answered honestly.

Jo turned a page, looking over her sunglasses at her family. "You've got tunnel vision, bro. Her too. It ain't that easy. She's gonna get there and have to say goodbye to everyone and everything she knows and loves. It ain't gonna be easy for her."

"You don't know what kind of situation she's leavin', Jojo. It was hell back there. For the both of us," he explained, shaking his head. "We been tryin' to leave for months."

"Trying to leave and actually leaving are two very different things," she stated sagely. "Sounds like she's got a big family she's leaving behind. If that's easy for her, you gotta be worried about where her head's at."

He thought it over for a moment knowing some goodbyes would be harder for her than others. Bones, Ellie, Chloe, her Ma, and her Aunt would be harder. Deep down, he knew saying goodbye to the Alvarez family would be tough for her too. He hated to put her through it, but their happy ending was so close he could taste it. "She'll be fine."

As if sensing they were talking about her, Angela walked out of the water with a squirming Evie held tightly to her chest. "She did not want to get out of the water," she said on a laugh. "But Mama wants some sun time, and Monk needs more sunscreen so here we are."

Jo smiled, grabbing the sunscreen bottle and gesturing for the whining girl. "C'mon, Eves. Let's get some more screen on ya 'n' we'll get right back in the water, all right?"

Angela watched them walk away, the most beautiful, happy smile on her face as she stood next to him. He grabbed her around the waist, pulling her down to sit in his lap as he kissed over the ink on her shoulders. She laughed as she squirmed against him her hair wet against his skin. "Juice!" she exclaimed, her hands clasped over his wrists. He let her go, gently shifting so she was sitting between his legs.

He smiled, setting his chin on her shoulder as he dragged his fingers over the tattoo on her hip. "You gonna be okay goin' back? Sayin' goodbye to everyone?"

She sighed contently, leaning back against him. "It'll be hard saying goodbye to some of 'em. I'm planning to avoid going anywhere near TM or Scoops 'n' Sweets. Staying away from Harleys of all shapes and sizes."

"Except Hap," he put in. She tensed a bit, and he sighed, kissing her shoulder. "He let me go for you, Angel. He made mistakes before, but he let me go for you. He loves you, baby. Don't forsake that because you're mad. Might be awhile before you get to see him again. You should thank him for this. For all of this. If Jax had chosen to leave Chibs with me instead...who knows where I would've ended up?"

"Probably in jail having unspeakable things done to you because Jax is an asshole," she muttered in response.

He chuckled, squeezing her around the waist lightly. "Maybe, but I'm not. I'm here. With you. With Eves and Ken and our family. This was all Hap. I owe that man everything. Not only did he bring me you by bringing you to Charming in the first place, but he brought me back instead of killing me," he said, trying to sway her into forgiving her cousin. "Just think about it."

Angela tilted her head back, turning to kiss his cheek. "I'll keep it mind."

"I love you," he told her, pecking her lips. "So much. I'm glad you're here."

She smiled, setting her hands on top of his. "Feels good to be home."

"You been here all of two days, Angel. Ain't home yet," he said on a chuckle.

"You're my home," she said, squeezing his hands. "Always."

He kissed her nose, grinning when she wrinkled it in response. "You're a mush head, but I get it. You're home to me too, Angel face."

She laughed, kissing him again. "Goof."

"I'll show you goof!" he challenged, getting to his feet before pulling her to hers and throwing her over his shoulder. Her laughter and squeals filled the air as he ran towards the water to join their family.
