So I have been meaning to check out Anna Green's works for ages, and this just so happened to be the first one I chose to read.

I was a sort of iffy about it at first, mostly because the writing style was a bit simplistic for my taste, but the plot was very interesting, so I kept at it, and I am so fucking glad that I did.

These characters grew on me so fast it was ridiculous - even when I wasn't in the process of reading the fic, I was thinking about it, trying to figure out what was going to happen until I had to go back to it before I drove myself crazy.

I adored Brendon and Ryan's relationship - I don't want to give too much away so I can't really say a lot about that, but by the end, I think I was more emotionally invested in what happened to them than they were.

I even choked up numerous times while reading this, which is rare for me, but I was seriously feeling the characters emotions as if they were my own, and any author that can make that happen for me gets a thumbs up.

I've got to read the rest of her works now, so if you haven't checked this out - do it and join in my pain.

There is a version of this book on Wattpad, but I highly recommend that you use the LiveJournal one, and not just because it's the original post. The author added a few bonus chapters and cool fanart that you will miss out on otherwise, not to mention you don't have to follow the account like you do on Wattpad since a large majority of the chapters got set on private.
