Ryobo's POV ❄️

Gadget shook his head in response to that, as he looked over at me.

"No..." He went before lying back on my bed. "What about you? Anything in your mind?"

I shook my head in response too.

"Heh, looks like we're on the same boat..." Gadget says as he smirked a bit.

Looking over at him, I felt my face starting to heat up before I quickly looked away and started blushing a little.

"Hey...Gadget?"

"Mm?"

"Do you like Zero?" I asked. "And if so, what do you like about him?"

After I asked him that, I saw Gadget starting to blush too.

"Y-Yeah...I guess." He answered. "I honestly don't know what it is that I like about Zero, but...I think he's cool and badass.

And he always seems to be really protective over me."

My ears suddenly flattened down as I sighed a little to myself in disappointment.

I knew and figured it out as much...

Gadget likes Zero.

And he only sees me as a friend.

Not as a lover.

As I was thinking about that, tears started appearing in my eyes before running down to the sides of my face as I looked away from Gadget, trying to hide them from him.

Unfortunately, he immediately noticed that something was upsetting me.

"Ryobo? What's wrong?" Gadget asked, feeling concerned and really worried at the same time, as he looked over at me.

"What do you mean?" I say as I started playing dumb, acting like I wasn't upset.

"You're crying...That's why I asked. And don't play dumb, I know that's what you're doing." He replies.

I just sat up and didn't say anything after Gadget said that as he pulled me into a hug.

Then I just buried my face into his left shoulder as I hugged him a little tightly in return, while I felt him rubbing my back soothingly.

"So, can you tell me what's wrong?" Gadget asked as he looked at me, once we parted from hugging each other.

I shook my head in response to his question.

"I can't..." I answered.

"Why?"

"I just can't...It's too much and painful to say it."

"Is it a sensitive topic? Because, if it is, I'll drop the subject for you."

I shook my head again.

"It's not a sensitive topic, but, it...has something to do with love..." I replied.

"Oh?" Gadget went as he tilted his head to the side a bit, showing that he's listening but feeling a little confused.

I nodded.

"Is there someone you like?"

"Yeah..." I said before blushing a little. "...But, I'm too much of a dandere to tell anyone who I have a powerful crush on.

I can't even approach my crush without worrying that I might say something that'll make things really awkward or uncomfortable between the two of us."

"Ah...You're a really shy wolf, aren't you?" Gadget asks as he nods his head in understanding.

"Y-Yeah..." I went as I continued blushing more, failing to notice that my face feels really hot right about now.

"What does she look like?"

"Uhm...I'm actually gay..."

After I said that, Gadget's face suddenly changed to shock and surprise.

"Wow...I did not know that." He went. "I thought you were bi, straight, or even possibly a virgin."

I looked away in embarrassment as I nodded.

"Well...Now, you know...But, I really don't have any interest towards dating a girl, to be honest." I mentioned. "I don't mind being friends with them though."

"Heh...Don't worry. I understand. There's actually a girl I know, who liked me in the past, that used to have a crush on me before.

But, in the end, we became friends and she fell in love with someone else instead." Gadget mentioned before smiling.
