Chapter 05
Wooyoung hung up, shaking. That calmed me down a little, knowing that they too can be intimidated.
"Follow me," he said, offering me his hand to help me up. I did not take it, instead I grined at him. Kind of pissed, he took me out of this horribly bright room.
We walked along the back of the building until we came to a door, which he opened for me. Mingi was waiting for us with bolt cutters in his hand.
"Listen, Han, we'll take off this way too noisy chains, but as you are some kind of master at picking locks, we decided to handle you with simple but prepared handcuffs. Alright?"
"Sounds like the only good alternative. Now take 'em off."
"That's what I wanted to hear."
His smile made me feel uncomfortable again, but any commentary would have caused something worse, I figured. With that, he came to me and broke the chains, but not the cuffs on my hands and feet. I don't know why, maybe he didn't want to risk to hurt me.
"How do we get those off of you? Wooyoung, any ideas?"
He, still pissed off, said nothing, so I used my opportunity. "I could do it myself. Just give me a hair pin or a paperclip."
They looked at each other, silently arguing whether to give me this chance.
"What is there to lose but time? It's two against one anyway."
Soon I had them convinced, and within seconds I was free. As free as I could be...
"That was impressive," Mingi complimented.
"Not a big deal. Now the handcuffs?"
After they put them on me, Wooyoung brought me to the living room we walked through when I woke up earlier. Behind the next door was a bathroom. As I walked in, I saw a pile of neatly folded clothes. They were mine as long as I would stay here, Woo said.
He then took off the handcuffs, told me to shower and knock as soon as I was ready, and left after locking the door.
It felt great. The warm water on my skin, the shampoo in my hair, and no one around me. I finally smelled and felt clean again. I missed this feeling badly, and it made me calm down.
When I knocked, I heard footsteps and soon the door was opened. But this time, Seonghwa stood there in front of me.
"Would you give me your hands, please?"
"Nearly forgot about that," I murmured as I obeyed, but at least he was nice to me.
We then walked around a sofa bed, where he told me to sit down.
"This is where you'll stay."
That left me wordless. Not a cold or a hurting-bright room, but instead fluffy pillows and a huge blanket.
It's right in front of the staircase, which leads to the bedroom of Wooyoung, San and Yeosang, and the doors to the kitchen and another bedroom. They don't even need cameras to keep an eye on me...
It feels like being a dog, sleeping in between my owner and the front door to protect them, just with a tiny twist.
"Could be worse, I guess."
I looked around and found two reversible octopuses. As Seonghwa chained me to the wall, so I could not stand up anymore, I took both of them and placed them on my head. Grumpy, of course. He looked at me like the child I was, and reminded me of Chan Hyung. I miss him... All of them.
Seonghwa sighed, not knowing what to say, but Hongjoong saved it. He came in and said that dinner was ready, whereupon the elder gave him the key and left it up to him whether he should take me with him or leave me here.
"Are you hungry?" he asked. Are. You. Hungry.
"What kind of question is that? This has to be the stupidest thing you've ever asked anyone."
"A ‚Yes' would've done it. No need for an attitude."
"We are talking about food, you know?"
"You are talking to an elder, you know?"
"You kidnapped me, you know?!"
It's not Hani but it's grumpy Seungmin😭💖
