-You'll Be Back-
I forgot to add that they are all from when Lee got promoted general lmao. Also sorry for not updating last week, I got a headache from the vaccine and I went to Colorado so I could see my dad's side of the family so I couldn't work on it. At least I can now say that, even though I ment an entire new side of my family, each part from a different state, I can confirm that no one in my family is interested in musicals. ;-;

As the King's actor walked up to the stage, a great deal of people in the audience hoped that the person who the actor was playing wouldn't appear. Alas, they soon heard a British accent that was separate from the voice of Seabury sarcastically say,
"What a surprise to see all of you here."
"Does he really have to be here?" John said to no one in particular.
"I am offended." The King scoffed as he was ridiculed
Never the less, he made his way to the front row of the room, sitting next to Seabury as he was the only one who didn't mind it.
[Verse 1: KING GEORGE]
You say
The price of my love's not a price that you're willing to pay
"What is this 'love' you speak of?" Lafayette questioned while rolling his eyes. To which the King did the same.
You cry
"Ha! Yeah right?" Jefferson mocked
In your tea which you hurl in the sea when you see me go by
"Ah yes, the Boston Tea Party."
Why so sad?
"You think that we are sad?" Alexander turned tp the King who simply responded,
"Yes."
Remember we made an arrangement when you went away
Now you're making me mad
"Oh and now we are making you mad?" Washington inexpressibly said
Remember, despite our estrangement, I'm your man
Eliza scooched closer to Alexander and took her husband's arm, holding it closer to her. "Sorry, but I already got my own man," she said, causing many chuckles from the audience.
Laurens, on the hand, looked at Eliza and Alexander, and then looked away, a twince of jealousy on his face. It lasted until he felt a warm hand intertwining his, and looked up to see Alexander squeezing it. Laurens smiled, and looked back up to the stage.
This action, however, did not go unnoticed by Lafayette, Hercules, and Burr.
You'll be back, soon you'll see
Washington raised an eyebrow "Not if we win the war we won't."
You'll remember you belong to me
Angelica shifted uncomfortably in her seat.
"Ehhh.."
"The country, I mean." The King clarified, raising his hands up in defense.
You'll be back, time will tell
You'll remember that I served you well
"Are- are you sure about that?" The question came from Madison
The man in question replied "Hey, at least I am a good king."
"As a part of the British, I can confirm." Seabury chimed in
Oceans rise, empires fall
We have seen each other through it all
"Why does this sound like you are getting a divorce with America?"
And when push comes to shove
I will send a fully armed battalion to remind you of my love!
Everyone was stunned silent at the unexpected, threatening line that came from the actor.
[Chorus: KING GEORGE ]
Da da da dat da dat da da da da ya da
Da da dat dat da ya da!
Da da da dat da dat da da da da ya da
Da da dat dat da...
Everyone blinked.
"First the battalion line, now this?" Alex turned to the King, still not very fond of him. "Really!?"
The King, instead of being upset, decided to have a light chuckle and sorta embraced the weird lines.
[Verse 2: KING GEORGE]
You say our love is draining and you can't go on
"That high note, was amazing. I'll admit." Peggy admitted
You'll be the one complaining when I am gone...
"Ha, yeah right."
And no, don't change the subject
The sudden change in tone startled multiple audience members. Some hung to the person next to them, while others jumped in their seats. King George was among the latter, although if you ask him, he would outright deny it.
'Cause you're my favorite subject
"To- talk about?" came an unsure response from Angelica, hoping that the answer would relieve the tension in the room.
The silence from the King that followed after was not reassuring at all.
My sweet, submissive subject
"...Please never refer to us like that, ever again." Washington cringed
My loyal, royal subject
Forever and ever and ever and ever and ever...
"And never~" John sang. Laughing then came from his friends next to him.
The King clutched his fist as he glared at the revolutionary set.
"I swear..."
"Look, I get it you don't like us, but you don't have to rub it in our faces all the damn time." Shocking everyone, this comment came from Seabury
[Verse 3: KING GEORGE]
You'll be back like before
I will fight the fight and win the war
At this, the people who were fighting in the army grew tense. What would happen if the British won? Did they even win in the future? By the looks of it, it is pretty unlikely right now.
For your love, for your praise
And I'll love you till my dying days
When you're gone, I'll go mad
So don't throw away this thing we had
"What is this 'thing' we have. Because by the sound of it so far, I don't like said thing." Eliza whispered, barely audible to everyone else in the room.
'Cause when push comes to shove
I will kill your friends and family to remind you of my love
"...what the actual fu-"
"Please don't."
"How will that remind us of your 'love'?"
These were just a few of the various comments that came across the room
"Ok...I might have exaggerated that part a bit."
[Chorus: KING GEORGE ]
Da da da dat da dat da da da da ya da
Da da dat dat da ya da!
At this point, everyone was used to this part of the song so most people just had a good laugh.
Da da da dat da dat da da da da ya da
Da da dat-
Everybody!
[Chorus: FULL ENSEMBLE]
Da da da dat da dat da da da da ya da
Da da dat dat da ya da!
Da da da dat da dat da da da da ya da da da da
Dat dat da ya da!
"I don't know about any of you, but I loved my song."
